[ quick drabble about viktor’s experience at the rally ]

          So this is what all the fuss is about.

     Viktor had not heard much about these rallies before today, only hearing drabbles while the news played softly in the background back home, and bits and pieces from eavesdropping on others at his favourite coffee shops around the city. Different sources hold different opinions about this group and the woman at the helm of it all, and whether or not the group holds good intentions is not something Viktor can say for sure that he knows. He understands how the media can exaggerate and stretch the truth far too well -- he had been a victim of their games many a time before -- and so his troublesome curiosity had gotten the best of him. Yuuri hadn’t been quite sure about the idea, though Viktor had promised he would be okay in an attempt to quell his fiancé’s worries.

     Now he stands amongst a group of what he can only assume are supporters, or perhaps they’re just as curious as he is. From mumbles in the crowd, he’s able to pick up something about this woman -- Alaine is her name, he thinks -- being banned from their previous meet up location at the community centre. That new information, and their new location, dubbed ‘The Underground’, sends anxious shivers down his spine. A part of him tells him this is a bad idea, that he should just turn around and walk away from it all, that the information he seeks isn’t worth what might happen, but another says he should at least stick around, and so he does. He stays close to the back of the group, arms crossed and a finger tapped to his lips, ears open for this woman’s garble.

     He stays completely silent and keeps a blank face throughout her little speech, sparkling cerulean eyes darting through the crowd to examine the reactions she’s receiving thanks to her rambling on. Some are in shock and surprise, others are thoughtful, while some just look bored out of their minds -- quite literally. Viktor exhales soft through his nose and continues to listen intently. The rally is peaceful, so far, though the woman speaking seems frazzled and upset, likely due from events prior. 

     He doesn’t care to sign up again, his curiosity having been peaked, and so he leaves in a hurry, the atmosphere of their location influencing the speed of his exit further, hands stuffed in the pockets of his overcoat as he quietly makes his way back home. His finger becomes sensitive to the golden ring that reminds him every day of what he believes is his OWN soul mate, and his thoughts begin to wander as his steps quicken slightly.

     He never would have given a thought to the idea before Yuuri Katsuki had barged into his life like he had. He had never realized how LONELY he truly was before, having closed off his tiny piece of the world to the rest of it without ever knowing what he had done. He had been so engrossed in the idea that he had to continue to surprise people through his skating that he had forgotten to embrace the joys of LIFE and LOVE, and now he has it in Yuuri and Makkachin and spending their life together here in Bellevue. It makes him wonder if these so-called strings of fate tie him and Yuuri together, though the prospect of that idea being true leaves him with a smile crawling over lips and a tiny flush covering his cheeks.

     Yuuri IS his soulmate, and he will defend that belief until the day he dies.

     All thoughts of the rally are put to rest once he’s made his way into the Oakville Flats complex, knowing that he’ll soon enjoy the rest of his evening with the love of his life and their poodle, and nothing could ever possibly make him happier in this very moment.

          It’s always been a joy to stare and watch as his fiancé glides across the ice with grace to rival the likeness of a ballerina, blades cutting perfectly through the blue line as he stops to rest. The rink is dark, save for a few overhead lights that faintly illuminate the space, but it doesn’t stop Viktor from keeping his focus on the other man. Viktor has always been intrigued by the way Yuuri skates, how the man dances in perfect unison to the music of his programs and entices anyone caring to glance his way -- especially Viktor. Even now, during a small warm up session, the Russian can’t seem to take his eyes away from Yuuri, the vibrating annoyance in his pocket not enough to tear his focus away.

          The way he moves is... breathtaking, to say the least. A hand comes up to rest at his chin, and his crystal blue eyes catch a glimpse of the golden ring that shines on his finger -- a testiment of how far their relationship has come in the past few years. The edges of his lips curl up into a soft smile, his focus on Yuuri taken off long enough for the man to notice his fiancé skating his way.

               “Ah -- Yuuri!”

i finally managed to finish viktor’s blog, so hello !! i’m kato, and this is jackass, and i’m ready to write with everyone !! it’s been a while since i’ve rp’d, so bear with me, haha.
