Hihello I just need to tell you how much I've absolutely ADORED your past two SOULReader with Spamtenna? ♥ Your writing is absolutely lovely and those last two in particular got me so good, thank you so much for your hard work!!
I’m about to fall asleep so I’m sorry if this reply is messy, but thank you SO SO SO much oh my gosh my creativity high dwindled the more tired I got and I was worried they were too whimsical and that people wouldn’t like them that much, and hey, I shouldn’t care if people like them or not, but you know, it would be nice if they did heh. So, again, THANK YOU, YOU’RE SO NICE AND LOVELY for taking precious time out of your day to write this to me; I am so happy! Thank you, thank you!!!
Here, a sleepy but joyful smooch from Tenna and Spamton. Have at thee, boys!
Spamton: “I didn’t agree to—”
Tenna: Mwha! “Thank you, sweetheart! We appreciate your wonderful feedback!"
Spamton: ... mwha. “There, a [Kissy Kissy].”
And a big smooch from me too. I shall now fall asleep with a smile on my face, good golly. You’ve got me giggling oh my gosh... <3
#teehee goodness me this made me so happy#thank you!!#post trash spamton has some of that “im a big shot” attitude but hey at heart he's sweet#deltarune#tenna#spamton

I’ve just noticed that the Mr. Ant Tenna & Reader Imagines have become longer and longer with each new post. The first one is the shortest, but as you go to the next, they just become longer and longer… That was unintentional, though also quite hilarious and typical of me. Cue me always thinking “this will be short so I don’t lose interest”, and then the complete opposite happens.
“THIS IS WHY I LISTEN TO MUSIC! IT’S A TRIGGER FOR GLORIOUS IDEAS! I MUST WRITE THIS BEFORE I FORGET! I SEE IT NOW; VIVIDLY!” I say as I, once again, postpone my journey to the kitchen for a glass of water.

: ̗̀➛ Mr. Ant Tenna & Lightner Reader Imagines #11
He could scarce recall the time which has passed far too quickly, the mirth and joy surging within him still going strong. It’s been an age since he had this much fun. You were but a valuable treasure for him to keep entertaining, and you never failed to bring your radiant energy atop the stage.
No matter what game, quiz, or physical challenge he threw out, you were always eager to complete them all. And you did it all with a smile and a laugh, with the occasional focused expression as one of his questions had you thinking long and hard. He enjoyed those moments too, when he caught but a small glimpse of who you were behind the scenes.
Though, that was silly, because behind the scenes you were just as lovely. Walking off the stage, you’d come running up to him, departing from your friends (who he tried to pretend didn’t look sick and tired of the oh-so-convenient-way he just so remembered that another segment had to come up) and coming right up next to him. Once you even took his hands, even as short as you were in comparison to him, and you’d beam right up at him, telling him how much you enjoyed the show, how funny you found him, how energic and handsome and pretty he’d been.
“P-pretty?” he’d squeaked, a line of red crossing his screen. His fingers had tingled as you’d grinned and nodded in earnest.
“The prettiest TV I’ve ever seen.”
“O-oh my, oh mama,” he’d muttered and adjusted the tightness of his tie, smile wobbly and outright goofy from how much his internal workings tickled at your words. You’d laughed and given him a wave before returning to your friends.
He ignored the way they ushered you closer, beginning to whisper as they shot him an occasional glance or two. He could only focus on the way your hair seemed to shine beneath the overhanging lights, how you practically glowed amongst all the dark surrounding you. How strange it was that it was only you who’d brought the very light that made up the Light World, but perhaps that was simply just Tenna becoming smitten with you.
No, he was more than smitten, the ache and the need growing within him was so much more than that. It made flowers bloom from the tip of his nose, it made the anxieties and fear dissipate, it made him more excited than ever to perform and do well atop the stage.
If he knew you were there, that you were watching him, then it made everything feel… light.
Until you came to him later, head hung low, a sad expression on your face.
“Leave?” Tenna asked, a burning cold beginning to cleave him from within. “Wh-why would you need to leave? Aren’t you having fun?” he asked, smile strained as he raised his arms. “I can make it better! Just tell me what you want, and I’ll give it all to you.”
“I am having fun,” you say, smile half-hearted and sorrowful. “But… It’s been hours and, well, soon there’ll be a new day back home, and we have responsibilities there that we can’t put off.” You run a hand over your arm, unable to look at him. “I’m sorry, Tenna. I know you’ve had a lot of fun too, but we can’t stay here forever, you know?”
“N- no, no, of course not,” he said, turning around as he began to shrink. “I… I understand. You have things to do, other… fun things.” He shrank some more. “I’m just an old TV, after all. I can’t keep you here forever… No matter how much I want to.” Again, he shrank, becoming shorter than you. “It’s okay. You can go. I’ll just… be here.” He sniffled, sitting down as he shrank further still, now hardly bigger than a mouse. “I’ll just replay these moments to myself,” he whispered, wiping at his face.
He heard you then, coming closer, and then your hands surrounded him before they lifted him up. He startled, clinging to one of your fingers, smudged tears of static staining his screen as he turned to look at you. Smiling, you looked down at him, so kind and lovely in every way, and his mechanical heart ached worse still and he gave a single hiccup, wishing beyond hope that you could take him with you.
“You sweet, silly little TV,” you said, and you brought him closer to your face, nuzzling him against your skin, your lashes tickling him. He returned the embrace as best as he could, small hands resting against your cheeks, the side of his head pressing just beneath your eye.
You blinked, and your lashes brushed his antennas. He shuddered and almost laughed, the sensation strange but not unpleasant.
“I’m not leaving forever, you know.”
“You… you’re not?” He looked at you then, sniffling again, but no more tears were shed.
“Of course not.” And you kiss the side of his head, your lips marvellously soft and incredibly addicting to the touch. He chased them as you leaned back, attempting to kiss them before he realised what he was doing, and he looked down, a violent blush spreading across his screen. You chuckled and curled a finger, brushing his cheek. He hugged it.
“I’ll come back as often as possible. It’ll be easier once you’re in my home, at least.”
Tenna perked up, unbelieving.
“You… You will take me home with you?” he asked, short of breath. “You’ll adopt me?”
You laughed then, eyes closed as you smiled, and Tenna knew then that he loved you for it was impossible to keep his heart from swelling with warmth, and quickly he began to grow, your hands becoming smaller, your grip loosening until he stood on his own feet again, and he took those hands that had held him and kept them treasured within his own, his face impossibly close to yours now.
“I’ll be with you forever?” he asks, his expression almost sad but he was so overwhelmed with joy he could have wept more tears right then, and as you nodded, eyes meeting his hidden ones, he rejoiced and picked you up, his size exploding as he began to twirl. “Oh, what joy!” he cheered, and without thought he kissed your cheeks, your forehead, your nose, the crown of your head, and you laughed with mirth as he embraced you.
He could have died right then, content listening to your laughter as he held you in his arms. He was too happy to care about what he was doing. You weren’t pulling away, and you weren’t going to leave him alone. He could entertain you in the Light World, and when you finally returned to him in the Dark World again, he would continue to entertain you, wishing only to keep that lovely smile on your face.
And when you kissed his cheek, hands resting at the edges of his head, he flushed and stumbled on his feet, so overcome with love for you that balance and comprehension scarce stood a chance to follow him.

: ̗̀➛ Mr. Ant Tenna & SOUL Reader (+Spamton) Imagines #10
A sheen of turquoise mist rests upon the floor, swirling between their rushing feet, but little does it halt their journey for their spirits are full of mirth and song, and the puppet – once broken and lost – sprints as though made of wind. Wings of misty white, gleamed with starlight, flutters as he chuckles. Much has your grace blessed him, for a faint glow envelops him and the once blackened hair is white as glittering snow beneath a radiant moon, and his blackened eyes twinkle with specks of yellow and pink. The smile upon his face is pliable but often it paints a picture of joy, for neither Light nor Dark World keeps either him or Tenna bound.
They roam freely, travelling as they please, emanating their own light as you remain within them both. Your SOUL’s house of residence may linger within Tenna’s chest, but a hidden thread keeps Spamton connected; no matter how far he may go.
“Leap!” Tenna shouts, bending forward to give Spamton a boost, and the puppet soars upwards as his beloved giant jumps to join him; body floating without restrictions. They share a laugh as you come quickly after, your game of tag closing upon the finish line.
Rarely did you stray from your incorporeal form, but on days such as these you found yourself willing to play and be merry, and so you chose a shape not so unlike a Great Egret, your wings and tail feathers trailing like white smoke, your size shrinking and growing not so unlike Tenna. Now, you were happy, and so you towered above them; Spamton small enough to sit atop your head, whilst Tenna could stretch and rest easily upon your back.
Your beak teasingly snapped behind them, your laughter echoing all around as you flew closer. The vapour of the lands in-between worlds morphed and changed into many colours, blurred visions of the light and endless dark worlds passing by. The trees of shadow and light smoked like burned candles, yet they did not dwindle, and an endless sea sprayed cool water as it crashed upon a steep cliff, sea stacks crumbling and rising anew.
Spamton plunged towards the dancing waves of blue and green waters, Tenna close behind; you even closer still. They did not read their mark before your being flew beneath and caught them mid-air, and they clutched at your striking feathers as you crashed through the surface with a mighty splash as water and crystalline gas scattered. Into a world of dreams you entered, white sand underfoot, a swirling sky overhead. Here the wind was wild, and pillars of stone stood tall upon the horizon.
“I cannot wait for tonight’s show,” said Tenna, lounging beside Spamton, a hand reaching out to touch the puppet’s back; fingers trailing across his spine. “Surely, you will join me this time. The audience cheer so beautifully whenever you join me atop the stage.”
“I don’t know, Tens,” said Spamton, grinning mischievously. “I wouldn’t want to steal your [light].”
To this Tenna laughed heartily, and quickly he swooped closer, entrapping Spamton into a heated kiss. It was returned in earnest. The white feathers that cushioned them ruffled, and they chuckled into the kiss as the echo of your gentle laughter embraced them.
“My light,” said Tenna once separated from Spamton’s lips, “I am assured that you will join me.”
I will always be there; that was my promise to you long ago.
And Tenna smiled in earnest, his heart soaring even as your love had never faltered, for though the years were many and you had remained for all of them, he could scarce truly; fully believe that this was the truth of his life now. How far he had come from that sad, desperate, lonely man of the past.
Spamton shifted, his small hand stroking feathers of cloud and mist. He kissed them, his lips lingering until a brush of summer leaves returned it.
“Then, surely, you’ll join me for a trip to [Cyber World]. It has been a long while since I was there,” said Spamton, mischief at the tip of his tongue. Your laughter was renewed, and you shifted beneath them, soaring through clouds and into burning stars.
Be kind, my trickster.
“I will cause no [Trouble? Never heard of it] this time, I [cross my heart and hope to die].” And though he promised, he doubted such a promise could be kept, for his mere presence had caused unrest as his fellow Addisons had gaped and gasped at the sight of him. Back then he’d possessed little control over his new form, unable to keep the light, granted to him by you, at check.
Now? He knew he could play pretend, but were the Addisons ready to speak with him yet?
I will accompany you.
And freezing water cast in ice cracked and enveloped them as you soared past the surface and into shadow, erupting with a burst of overwhelming radiance before the crack swiftly sealed itself shut and your beautiful form diminished until it vanished completely.
Tenna and Spamton landed atop their feet with no sound, the recognisable sight of TV World taking shape all around them. So sudden had their appearance been that the nearby Pippins yelped and toppled over each other, their eyes large and blinking; unbelieving as they thought Tenna and Spamton alike had emerged from a beam of light. Yet, here they stood, appearing as normal as they could.
Though how normal could they as Once-Darkners truly be.
“Chop-chop, everyone!” Tenna clapped, his smile both brilliant and blinding. “The show will soon begin. I hope you all are prepared!”
“A-as prepared as we can be, Mr. Tenna,” said one of the pippins, “but these ideas surely are… unique.”
“Unique and great!” Cheered Tenna, laughing as Spamton leapt upon his shoulder with a flap of hidden wings. Though not as small as he’d once been, Spamton could still perch atop Tenna’s figure, and there he found himself quite content.
From within Tenna’s chest, you pulsed pleasantly, spreading your warmth through TV Host and puppet alike. They shuddered in tandem, smiles growing fond upon their faces, and together you marched towards the stage, ready for a grand new show.

Is this short storyline with Tenna, SOUL Reader, and Spamton becoming too whimsical...?
. . .
Nah.

: ̗̀➛ Mr. Ant Tenna & SOUL Reader (+ Spamton) Imagines #9
Strips of shimmering starlight billowed with each step, yet the ground did not tremble for Tenna’s stride was weightless and he stood amongst threads of sunlight; crackles of the world threatening to burst in seams of uncontrollable fire, but with each brief appearance they vanished as swiftly as a blown-out candle.
And here Spamton could only watch, transfixed and rooted to the spot, yet even if he’d desired it, he could not move, the strings of green keeping him still. Legs dangling, he watched as Tenna approached, the TV host casting a glow that chased the shadows away, and warmth brushed Spamton’s cheek as a whisper could be heard the nearer the Once-Darkner came.
Whispers has followed him for years and then some, and within his broken mind he feared the worst, but the incomprehensible words were not mere whispers of uncaring malevolence, but rather curious musings, growing in pity.
“I once knew him. Hah, to think that those days happened so long ago. It is almost like a faraway dream…” spoke Tenna, answering the whispers which seemed all too clear for him. His chest pulsed with radiant light, and he laid a hand atop of it. Gone was the anxious man Spamton remembered from a distant past, gone was the desperation and the lingering sorrow, now replaced by someone wholly content. His newfound peculiarity had made him a stranger of the World he was once born into, but little did this fact appear to bother him.
“Tens…?” Spamton managed to utter, his voice hoarse from idleness. He could scarce recognise the man he’d once denied himself of loving, and though a voice hissed in contempt at the sight of him, lingering hatred still festering within, Spamton could not find the energy to express any of what he desired to. He was too weak; broken, a puppet whose strings were cut, yet still he remained entangled within them, hanging like a useless toy in a forgotten basement. How had Tenna found him here? How had he known where to look?
“I wouldn’t have recognised you,” said Tenna, stepping closer, his visage ethereal; Spamton could see it now. “My beloved light spoke of you,” he said, expression sorrowful as he reached out a hand, and upon touching Spamton’s cheek, the puppet jolted, a shot of searing heat penetrating through each limb. It burned, but it brought no pain. He choked on a gasp. “They heard you from the shadows, voiceless yet still calling for help…” His hand enveloped Spamton’s cheek fully, and the puppet’s eyes filled with unshed tears. “Oh, Spammy… What happened to you?”
Spamton could not speak. He could only stare, black eyes focused on a face he’d loved and hated all the same. A face that was wholly different yet all together the same. Wisps of silver and golden light, cast as string and crystalline cloth floated behind Tenna, and within their restrictions Spamton saw an esoteric figure; pure light whose blinding countenance scorched him from within, yet it was altogether kindly and merciful, and its glow rested atop Tenna’s shoulders, an unknown smile gazing down at him and Spamton alike.
Snap!
Spamton shook, one of the strings keeping his left arm strung up cut in two. Tenna’s other hand came about his back, lingering on his spine. And slowly, delicately, he brought the puppet closer.
Snap!
“Tens?” Spamton spoke again, afraid of what consequence might come his way from this, but the TV host only smiled at him, the gesture so familiar, those lips a call from a happier time.
Snap!
“You won’t be abandoned to the torment of the void, Spammy,” said Tenna, his hands so gentle and loving. “We will keep you safe; I promise.”
Snap!
Spamton gasped as the strings were cut away, their hold now gone as his full weight was supported in Tenna’s grasp. One hand still held his head, keeping it from tipping to the side. He couldn’t move but with each passing moment a tendril of sensation began to flood through him, and his fingers twitched. A brush of wind touching his nose, a call of a bird echoing in his mind. He looked up, seeing your celestial light ascending, shielding them from the descending darkness. It hissed and retreated, shooting stars cleaving it into pieces before it fled with a withering shriek. Spamton could not look away even as the touch of Tenna’s thumb stroked along his cheekbone.
A glance of heaven, a touch of music, an embrace of something unearthly as Tenna spoke his name, and Spamton looked back at him, taking in the sight of his face once more. He was smiling, static tears trickling from his screen as he cradled the side of Spamton’s head.
“I have missed you so dearly, Spamton,” said Tenna, his voice sonorous. “I cannot fully express how much, but the anger and the sorrow of your abandonment no longer keeps me captured, and I cannot begin to fathom what you must have thought of me, but I hope you may find it in yourself to accept me as I am; as we are,” he said, and with a hush he embraced the puppet, and the strings and strips of empyreal cloth came around him too, yet they were not bars to keep him trapped, but rather wings to give him flight; aiding his head to look up and see the grandeur given to him.
Freedom; granted at last.
And Spamton gasped a sob, the tears finally welling and spilling freely as his heart soared and his mind was enveloped in a stream of cool spring water. And he wept with woe and elation as his arms, now as light as feathers and moving without bounds, returned to embrace Tenna tenfold. A touch of sunlight brushed through his hair, and he shut his eyes and buried his face within Tenna’s neck, shuddering as the ghost of lips kissed his head.
Finally, he is free. They all are.

I’m curious if your spamton ever caught feelings for tenna, you’ve mentioned a few times their relationship morphed into smth more for tenna, was it ever reciprocal?
yes but he never recognized it as that.
spamton was very goal focused and intent on achieving his dreams no matter the cost. he may have kept his enemy a little too close 'cause tenna became a safe place for him to escape to over time.
one thing i wanna point out, i think jevil and spamton were in communication for some time, and jevil is the one to tell spamton that tenna is locked in on his destiny. spamton thinks thats BS until he talks to tenna one day, saying that his value does not have to come from the opinion of the Lightners, but tenna completely disagrees with him. this is when spamton realizes that yes, tenna is trapped in the prophecy.
its not until tenna makes his final deal with spamton that spam decides he wants to do whatever he can to convince tenna to drop the beliefs he lived by his whole life. a hard task that spamton never gets the chance to tackle.
if that final phone call wasnt made, spamton probably would have reciprocated tenna's feelings
#doomed by the narrative...#god... they would have been so... well maybe not perfect... but lovely and beautiful in their imperfections#i love them#let them hold hands and gaze lovingly into each others eyes#deltarune#spamton#tenna#spamtenna#fconvicted

I can't believe I made myself laugh so hard I got a headache because I kept imagining Spamton bouncing like those annoyed cats you see in videos where they're trying to relax atop their owner's stomach, but said owner keeps laughing, and so the cat is just... bouncing.
Anyway, the mental image was too funny not to share, so here, please imagine cutie patootie gremlin Spamton bouncing as you keep laughing because watching him experience his own type of earthquake is hilarious and he's soooo annoyed about it (not at all finding you laughing cute nope not at all). Big shot Spamton works too. He'd act super grumpy about it, but he loves you and hearing (and feeling) you belly laugh like that is sweet, so he'll allow it to happen.
#i typed this on my phone i don’t care if it's messy leave me alone#deltarune#spamton#spamton g spamton#spamton x reader#i feel like my english gave up at one point...
