I have always had a fascination with the layouts of stores (weird huh) the reason being in some stores there have been times where I felt like I was just going in circles (and getting real dizzy in progress) I don't care for those stores. When going out to my local mall, I found that Chicos was this type of store even though it wasn't shaped in the circular way per-say the assistance desk was in the middle separating part of the store that had the dressing rooms and other less visual articles of clothing. This made me feel uneasy going back and forth with the desk in-between and hard to navigate. Usually, well-organized spaces make you feel like the store is spacious and make all articles of clothing visible and readily available with more of a curvy flow.

In general, the size of some modern day women and men feel like they are tethered to the numbers on their clothes but in reality, they are incredibly unreliable many companies try to change their sizing according to their clientele. The assignment given to me by Parson required me to try on different types of clothing and in different sizes. In my findings and personal preference, I found even though in some cases small did fit me I preferred medium of large based solely on how loose and longer the garments were the overall silhouette was the same just a bit more comfortable this was even truer when it came to tight fitted dresses or shirts.

In my recent involvement with Instagram (I know, but my lease from under that rock just ended), I found my followers even though few do tend to have some similarities such as filter and types of post. Clarendon seems to be the most popular of the filters I have used in my feed. Other things I have noticed the more general the hashtag such as colors and naming the object with the color in the name also generates more activity and likes.

The Flowery West

When the given assignment was to design and create an accessory inspired by my visual style I started rummaging my collection I call “potentials” they are things I find things that aren’t quite “Finished” or underdeveloped. I found a felt cowboy hat my father bought years ago in a bazaar in which cowboys hats are in a high demand and is the great business in which leads to significant profits price. This particular hat was $75 it was a quite dull Navy blue. The wild outdoors with summer and festival season upon me I saw many flower crowns and decided to merge them together. The material I used and where they were purchased had a significant impact on how much the product cost to make since they were bought from a second party and not in the whole sale. There is also the fact of having no prior experience of making the accessory and the time trial and error take this would be the cost of production:

To make profits in mass production was different cost production and revenue. One of the major reason for the lower cost is buying in vast quantities and in some cases straight from the factory that produces the items which cut the cost of the middle man also keeping in mind when mass-producing you should already have a template or something of the sort to make the production more efficient.
