I've been wanting to draw this since the episode came out, I was finally able to make the piece!!

i keep getting bored with my clangens so i made this for a harder/more intimate experience

this is HEAVILY inspired by @fog-clan and i know they were basing their's on a challenge too? but i couldnt find exact rules for that and i like structure haha but anyways i do not claim this ruleset or anything

Rules:

Start with 7 cats, (I just roughly click-randomized), no kits/apprentices (this will depend on what you get generated, sometimes you don't have 7 adults, so it might take time)

Kill any elders

Randomize 3 cats to live (I use a wheel randomizer for this). Kill the rest. Input reason; natural disaster such as blizzard, flood, drought, etc. OR you can do something more fun/supernatural/paranormal

Randomize the remaining cats roles; leader, deputy, healer

Expanded Gamemode

Always proceed on patrols

Hard Mode Version: Randomly select 4 adults/elders and 3 apprentices, kill all except the apprentices. Make one a healer. Either let the game decide or randomize the leader/deputy role when someone graduates or if a new cat joins

Settings:

Can really be whatever you want but I like to have:

Mass extinction events turned on

Allow cats to breed with cats who are not their mates

Allow cats to breed with an unknown second cat

Increase same sex adoption

Allow leaders to auto-choose a new deputy

There it is! I had fun with my new ones and I got more involved story-wise I think. I will say my first run of this, my leader and deputy announced they were expecting kittens in the same moon AND THEN I MISCLICKED THE PATROL TYPE and so we had like no fucking prey. They didn't die out but i got too sad to keep playing them lolol. So warning about that but i guess it is to be expected to happen on hard mode sometimes.

ive rewatched veep like 5x in the few months since i first put it on

anyways my conclusion from this experience is that i LOVE Kent (for the love of god give me more kentxsue art PLEASE), relate too heavily to Ben, and ive gotten weirdly obsessed with Mike (also his actor) just such a sad man
