Are you planning on updating ever again?

This is very late as I don’t check this tumblr as often, my apologies. This year was also my first as a teacher! It was extremely challenging and probably as hard as I expected. Anyway, I do plan on updating, I have all three books (for all three movies) planned out.

Jay could smell it before he saw it.

He didn’t know how much he would miss having his own room since he began sharing with Carlos de Vil. Carlos had always been a bit of a hellraiser since they were young. He was offputting, he was unsettling and downright creepy at times. Jay always knew that and always looked past it because in the end, you’d rather have Carlos fighting with you rather than trying to dodge his knives. But lately it’s only gotten worse.

The humid, warm, iron smell hung thick in the air. Jay could almost taste in his throat. Carlos wasn’t one to ask if he could butcher a new animal in their dormitory.

“Must you do that in our room?”

“Our mighty leader made sure I’d promise to keep things behind closed doors, unfortunately.”

“Then why not do it in the girls’ room?” He argued.

Carlos’s head shot up in thought as though he forgot about that. “Huh,” he smiled playfully, already making plans, “Next time, cross my heart.” His grin only widened.

“And what’s today’s catch?”

Carlos had been a hundred and one percent focused on his new plaything but when Jay made that question, the devil boy sprinted, stabbing the wooden desk with his knife in excitement. “You’ll never believe it!” Jay didn’t know Carlos was capable of portraying actual… happiness. He looked giddy. “Mal’s little prince— or king now, I guess— wouldn’t leave me alone until he got me involved in some extracurriculur on campus. Some nonsense about students being uncomfortable when I stared at them too long, pff, they never complain when Evie does it.”

“Well you don’t look like Evie, or me for that matter.” It was Jay’s turn to grin as he shoved his bag under the bed.

Carlos rolled his eyes, “Anyway he took us all over this damn place, and we made a whole circle back to the tourney field, he thought I could join the track team when he saw me run.”

“Oh, did you?”

“Of course not, why?” Carlos asked, his tone genuine and confused, like he never even considered it.

Jay didn’t answer and Carlos seemed to understand he wasn’t going to, so he continued. “At one point I just kept running until I got to the woods, figured I’d ditch the new king. He was dangerously close to losing a pinky. And low and behold, the little guy showed up.” He gestured towards the bloody mess on his desk. “I haven’t seen one in years, but this? This is the perfect present for Mother, she did say she wanted a new pair of earmuffs. I just wished it were a pedigree.”

Meet the Llyr Family of Prydain!

Eilonwy Llyr - 40yo, daughter of Angharad (deceased) and Geraint (deceased). Also called the Crescent Queen, she is the ruling princess and monarch of the kingdom of Prydain. Known as a powerful mage and fearless leader. Mother to Tara, Dallben, and Coll, wife to Taran.

Taran Llyr - 41yo, adoptive son of the mage, Dallben and the warrior, Coll. Once a simple assistant-pig keeper, he and Eilonwy met as children and fell in love during their fight against evil and the Horned King. Also called the Sword of Prydain. Father of Tara, Dallben, and Coll, husband to Eilonwy.

Tara Angharad Regat Llyr - 22yo, first born daughter of Eilonwy and Taran. As adept with a sword as she is with a spell. Known as the Moonlight of Prydain. She is named for her father, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Dallben Geraint Llyr - 21yo son, also called the Waining Prince, not the most popular Llyr in the family, and ever since King Beast’s choice in heir for Prydain, people have been divided on choosing sides once the inevitable happens. Named for one of his adoptive grandfathers.

Coll Gwydion Llyr - 18yo son, the youngest in his family, he invested most of his time studying the crafts of his ancestors, honing his magical skill which was difficult as magic was known to be more align with female Llyrs. Known as the Howling Mage. Named for one of his adoptive grandfathers.

Rapunzel Solis - 41yo, also called ‘the Sunflower of Corona’. A steadfast defender of her people, no matter their past.

Eugene Solis - 44yo, also called ‘the Sun Stealer’. A loyal husband and king-consort.

Cassius Solis - 22yo, also called ‘the Sol Prince’. Heir to the throne and named after a family friend.

quick drabble about Cassius:

The birth of Cassius Solis was meant to be a celebration of love and family. Instead, it awakened haunting memories from his grandparents. Queen Arianna was stricken by how similar her daughter’s labor was to her own. It was like she was in the past watching herself, seeing her son-in-law Eugene look as worried and helpless as her dear Frederic, seeing the physicians anxiously try to stop the bleeding and assure the princess all was well. But Arianna knew better than that.

She also knew that the only reason her daughter and grandson survived was because of whatever leftover sun magic remained inside Rapunzel. She could tell that none was left in her daughter in the end. Her grandson had inherited every last drop. When it was over and mother and child were confirmed to be in good standing, the royal physician delivered the final harrowing news. Rapunzel would never have another child again, not without risking her life and the child’s in the process.

Cassius would be Rapunzel and Eugene’s only child, the only heir to Corona de Luz. The Sol Prince became the sole prince.

Meridor - 15yo, son of Merida and an Unknown Father, twin brother to Elinor. Named for his mother. Also called the Sage Bear.

Elinor - 15yo, daughter of Merida and an Unknown Father, twin sister to Meridor. Like Laenor, she is named for her grandmother. Also called the Little Bear.
