Aris, taking treats and showing off her pretty, green neck. This lady raised FIVE babies again this year, like a boss.

Aris:

is the blood daughter of my oldest bird, Aurora

is the daughter of my first-ever breeding male, Blu

was raised from an egg by my turkey, Joslin, in 2017.

is always the first down on a nest, and has taught her daughter, Corona, and another hen, Arcana, how to and raise chicks

has consistently raised 5+ chicks from hatch to yearlings every breeding year so far (my other hens usually raise 3 or fewer)

brings her babies to me for treats despite not being hand raised

continues to allow any of her chicks that want to to roost with her at night (my other hens get cranky about it once they have new babies)

can free range without running away, and can follow herding directions from my herding pole, and teaches this to her kids when allowed to

is fucking gorgeous- fantastic type and color, perfect bird

eats out of my hand while yelling at me

I love her so much.
