Ah, I'm more than happy to give you a quick run down of the story for They Bite! As much as it may seem, and a disappointment to many I'm sure- the story is not about the Vamp boys I have been posting about this week LOL. They are only the main antagonists, sadly. 💔

They Bite! A Ballad of Vampiric Disease follows the story of two siblings, Charlotte and Mateo Salamanca. Two Slayers on their way to make a name of themselves, stranded in a beat down slum-city called Disturbia. A haven for the world's creatures of the night... Vampires.

After a run-in with the head of the nastiest coven in the city, the two reunite with their long-lost younger sibling Dominique, who'd disappeared one night after turning into the very thing that the siblings now hunted. Teo delights in the reunion, but Charlie and Dawn have different feelings.

Unfortunately, old family drama will have to wait, as the three are brought together when they try to save a girl going by the alias Angel, from a fate worse than death... Becoming a bride to the pure blood Dimitri.

Follow this band of misfits and their adventures in this digital graphic novel full of gritty, bloody, retro, sexy 80s Vampire fun!

-Height with the Vampires in They Bite! Usually depends on the class. Half bloods/changlings usually range from 6-7 feet tall, but Pure-Bloods, like Dimitri here are about 7-9 feet tall!

-The style for the boys and They Bite! is lightly inspired by the Lost Boys, but the film mostly sticks to the music, scenery, and references department. A lot of the outfits are taken from 80s hair/glam metal and rock! Specially Poison, Warrant, Mötley crüe, Van Halen/David Lee Roth, Dokken, and KISS!

What is your inspiration for you’re they bite? And well there be any other creatures in this project?

They Bites! story, and overall vibes is very heavily inspired by the Lost Boys. While it is the main source of inspo, I do have other interest that really kindled up my 80s Vampire comic, such as Don Bluth and Jim Henson films.

Funnily enough, the entire original story and characters were scrapped and rewritten. The original premise leaned a lot more into an early 2000s cyberpunk superhuman/mutants drug thing.... Which I had abandoned and kinda left in the dust until I had watched TLB for the very first time and fell in love with it.

I made a complete 180° for the better if you ask me LOL. My story has gotten so much more fleshed out and progressed since I first thought of the idea. I've had these characters with me since the 6th grade, and while they've shifted and changed, I still love them and cannot wait to share them with you all.

And as for any other creatures, at this point and time I'm afraid there is just Vampires and Werewolves.

...Course I didn't say there wouldn't be multiple classes between the two types. 👀
