Inhale. Exhale. You CAN do this!
This is the time of year where we all struggle with the mental game behind Irish dance. Itās a daunting thing sometimes, but I promise that it WILL get better.
We all have our moments where we doubt ourselves. Just yesterday I had to mentally tell myself to snap out of it. Donāt let one second of self-doubt take away all the hard work youāve put into training these last few months.Ā
Donāt do that to yourself.
I want you to look in that mirror. I want you tell yourself,Ā āI got this.ā Because you do! No matter the journey, the preparation or the emotions, youāve GOT this.
Thisāll be the last post I make before my Oireachtas on Nov 11. To all my Western Canadian girls: Iām proud of you. Iām proud of your time, passion and commitment. But most of all, Iām proud of you for doing your best and I canāt wait to see you all stand on stage next weekend.
To all the other dancers out there, I just want to say good luck as your prepare for your respective Oireachtas!Ā
Letās do this! ā¤ļøĀ

YOU GUYS!Ā IDM wrote an article about me for their August issue about my dance journey and balancing Irish dance with a PhD program and I honestly cried when I saw the article. Iāve been reading IDM since I was 7 (thatās right, 20 years yāall!) and I never in a million years thought I would be in it. Also thanks @scohoonphotography for capturing my crazy face on the right and @ciarasexton for seeking me out for the piece!

Artistās Temporary Decaying Art Brings Enchantment To The Forest
British sculptor Andy Goldsworthy is known for his phenomenal and temporary, installations which involveĀ using natural elements, ranging from sticks, stones, leaves and twigs and anything that grows out of the earth. Sharing a special connection with the land ,which he celebrates in all his sculptures, Goldsworthy shows the world that nature cannot be contained, but only its beauty can be held on a canvas for precious few moments before the land recalls what it once grew.
