something something elliott is struggling to cope with the fact that fans are not your friends, he’s losing the last connections to his mom after losing all his brothers, and the other legends are becoming the only family he’s got left and he gives a shit that he is simply messing it up w/ them rn and needed a hard lesson, as usual, to figure it out

elliott’s ma helped him work w/ the speech impediment when he was younger. it mostly comes up on some longer words these days, and the hard stutter also surfaces sometimes when he’s genuinely upset

I’m proud to identify as morosexual. I’m attracted to dumbasses and dumbasses exclusively. A guy asked me what the Spanish word for tortilla was once and now I dream of kissing him under the moonlight

@frfld said: “ making excuses just makes you look pathetic ”
back straightens unconsciously, shoulders stiffening under the scrutiny. words fall flat between them, last fizzle of a charade that dissipates into uneasy quiet. he finds he can’t quite stand to meet severe gaze, folds swiftly. this isn’t going like you thought it would--try again, witt. and incredibly, he thinks he might just be the first to elicit this level of cold disappointment out of their manager. this feels familiar in a way you don’t want to name.
“...look, i get it. i messed up. believe me, mr. fairfield--no one’s letting me forget it.” instinct leans toward petulance--stubborn, he wants to dig his heels into the earth like a child. but for once, elliott bites his tongue--lets dwight finish the thorough process of ripping the stripes off him. uncomfortable silence--element he’s never been able to stomach well. hell, he’s never been good at a whole lot. pride well-singed, his shoulders sink; “...i'm fixing it. i’m--i’m trying to, i swear.” you’ll fix it, you’ll make it up to them. ( and what if they don’t want to forgive you? ) expression falls and so does composure ( you really are a cheap, bad hand of cards )
mindless, careful heel-shift, and a laugh that falls halfway; “i don’t-- i don’t want to mess it up, y’know? ‘cause everyone here--” are kind of the only people you have left.
