Engines & Rudder - 2
While carrying out any operation, Air Force jets fly in a formation.
Why they have to stick to a formation?
There are multiple reasons. The firepower can be concentrated. Aircraft carrying crucial ammunition can be safeguarded, incase of flank. Last but not the least. They can save fuel, since flying in formation reduces drag.
As mentioned in Engines & Rudder, what matters most in a dog fight is to hang in there. The more fuel you save, all the more it will save you & your aircraft.
In real life we work as a team. Whether it is in our work place, at home or with friends.
There is nothing better than a teamwork and as a famous quote “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”
Let us stick to the formation!

Agility
Being Fast or being agile, which is more important? If we have to look at air force terms, a fighter jet’s importance depends on how agile it is during a dog fight(is an aerial battle between fighter aircrafts conducted at close range). Aircraft’s ability to adapt and keep on flying(most important!) matters during close encounters. It may be evading an incoming missle with flare or just manoeuvring to avoid getting hit. But why dont we build a fighter jet that can fly as fast as it can to leave the dog fight? Its not practically possible. All fighter jets including latest ones cannot have a sustained flight after breaking sound barrier. Its not possible to carry a lot of fuel owing to size of fighter jets and also the missiles it has to carry(to attack). In our life(to keep going) sometimes we have to take up course correction and adapt to the situation so that we can tackle it(situation) with our agility. Its like this. Learn to adapt at the same time keep on learning to adapt.

Quick recall
Am I passionate about learning? Yes. I am. I learn a lot every day. But I am still eager to learn new things. It can be about how to drive a car or how to make a roti. Why?
I would like to recall a story which I heard about 5 years back from a spiritual speaker. He(the speaker) was on his way to a temple(on hill-top) to present a speech. He reached the summit of the mountain and due to festival the crowd was huge. He couldn’t get his way in the bus(this is in 80’s). He saw an elderly couple also trying to make their way in the bus, but they were also struggling due to crowd. Since it was getting delayed, the speaker hired a taxi and went to hill-top. On his way, he felt bad for not taking the elderly couple with him. He forgot about them due to lack of time. He reached the temple and to his surprise, the couple was standing near the entrance. He got down from taxi and went to them to enquire how did you managed to get in the bus. They simply said, we didn’t get in. we just stood in the crowd. We were pulled in.
Moral – If you are in the right place or with right people, you can reach your destiny.
I wasn’t just learnt something here. I got Inspired!
Inspirations are the one which gets recalled quickly. In the life full of learning, I look forward for inspirations. At times, I may end up learning. Still the pursuit for inspiration continues.
