Pure curiosity, since so many people hate Varipunzel for the age-difference, how do you feel about a reverse version with 18-years old Raps and Varian in his 30s?

Imma be honest, age is such a non-factor in why I like these two together that I keep forgetting why people hate this ship so much lol (also, his age is never stated in the show so, like… is she that much older than him? or is he just short??)

To me, what’s important is that they have a lot of chemistry and they parallel each other in ways that are so fun for me to keep coming back to, y’know? Varian can’t forgive himself? That’s fine, Rapunzel is all about second chances! Rapunzel is eager to learn all that she can about the world? Varian’s whole purpose in the show is to know stuff. The show is always drawing a line between these two and making their similarities obvious for the viewer. Even if you don’t ship them, it’s fun to consider how important they are to each others’ stories. Also, above all else, I appreciate the short boy representation ✊🏼

That being said it would be really fun to see where Varian is in life at age 30. Maybe an AU where he gets in trouble with the law somehow and winds up at Rapunzel’s tower to hide from the cops?? 👀 hmmmm??? Just saying…

I don't have a story as such. Only during the battle of Zhan tiri, Varian ends up seriously injured and his friends did not have time to help him.
