Hello to all my amazing followers, OGs and newbies 💛

Just a little life update since over the last week or two I’ve had sooo many messages asking when the next chapter for The Breath of a Dragon will be added!

Please believe me when I say that no one is more disappointed in me than me with how long it’s taken, and I’m so sorry that you all are left waiting and wondering.

Over the last month unfortunately I lost my job due to COVID-19, I’ve also had some non serious but frustrating and inconvenient health issues both of which have distracted and overwhelmed me to the point that writing was honestly the last thing I wanted to do. I wouldn’t be happy uploading something I’m not proud of or that I didn’t give 100% of my time and attention to.

Hopefully in sharing this, anyone out there who might be going through the same thing doesn’t feel so alone.

I foresee a stressful few months ahead of me and I don’t want to make promises that I can’t keep, but reading your messages and having your support is beyond what I probably deserve!

Thank you so much for sticking by me, I will never take it for granted 💛

Collapsed on the floor disoriented, with the innigam still clutched in her hand Bulma tried desperately to remain conscious, the dizzy feeling in her head made her eyes droop shut and she felt an overwhelming urge to sleep pass over her; as she lay alone in the dark she heard a pair of heavy thundering footsteps make their way towards her and a low threatening growl that sent a sickly shiver up her spine.

I love your story but hate that you made Turles gay it just ruins the whole story for me :( :( :(

I’ve been sitting on this for a few days wondering what would be the best way to respond, initially my first instinct was to just ignore it and move on but I realised in doing that I was sending a message to this anon and whoever else might share their views that I’m willing to be silent in the face of bigotry in exchange for praise.

I can honestly say, that writing Turles within my story (The Breath of a Dragon for those who don’t know)- exactly how he is has been an honour; when I say that he is one of my favourite characters I mean that whole heartedly and it occurred to me that this anon hasn’t really paid attention to my story or Turles as a character because if they did, they would see that Turles is as Saiyan as they come. He’s stubborn, fiercely intelligent, aloof, witty, charismatic, loyal and above all else; strong. If you took that part of him away, not a single thing about him would change because he’s not defined by his sexuality - he is so much more than that.

Turles is a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend, he’s loved and he’s valid (whether he’s fictional or not).

I would encourage this anon and anyone else who shares their views and opinions to unfollow, unbookmark and cease all interactions with this blog and with the story on AO3 - there is no room for any form of discrimination and you will not be missed.

To everyone else, who enjoys my story exactly how it is and who loves Turles just as much as I do - Welcome and thank you so much for your support!
