Having a Saiyan for a spouse is probably like having an outdoor cat. Goku & Vegeta will go off on their own little adventures from time to time but always come back after a brief period. And sometimes they could bring souvenirs.

Like, one of them would go for a walk then return three hours later with a bison pelt, a hunk of a meteor, or a “Sun’s out, Guns Out” shirt.

Chichi and Bulma definitely compare notes.

I know we all like to compare Vegeta to a very expensive purebred cat or dog and Goku to a big orange thing that got lured into the house with food

But like

I think that’s the opposite of how their wives see them

Chichi: this is Goku, he’s a world champion martial artist who defeated a demon king. I had to fight in a tournament myself to get him and now he can do tricks and farm!

Bulma: this is Vegeta, he’s a genocidal space monkey with anger management problems. I lured him into my house with shrimp on a string and now he barely even scratches the furniture!

A headcanon that Bulma always is the first person to know whenever Vegeta achieves a new form.

He knows he wouldn't have come so far without her, so Bulma deserves to see it first. It's a small gesture but it is Vegeta's way of showing his gratitude for her. He did it with SSJ, SSJ God..

..and especially SSJ Blue when he was reminded of someone upon seeing the color of his hair. He immediately runs home, burst the window open shouting woman I've got something for you, and Bulma comes out grumbling(thinking he probably blew up the Gravity Room again and it's been less than a week she's gonna crack that thick skull herself-) only to see Vegeta with a huge smile, the genuine one that only she is allowed to see, then her stupid saiyan husband points at his hair which is now blue: the same color as her own and their children's, and as she looks into his softened eyes(unlike his usually sharp ones) and gets pulled into a crushing hug(also very unlike the stoic saiyan prince) Bulma is reminded again why she married this crazy gremlin.
