VC: I don’t see the real benefit of being a vegan.
Me: Actually there are several.
In addition to the health benefits, Vegans save 1,100 gallons of water each day and cut their carbon footprint in half.
• Vegans are 32 percent less likely than meat eaters to suffer from heart disease.
(chooseveg.com)

• The meat industry wastes one-third of drinkable water while 4 billion people don’t have enough.
(nutriciously.com)

• Animal agriculture is one of the leading causes of climate change. By leaving animals off your plate, you instantly cut your carbon emissions in half!

VC: You are not getting enough protein.
Me:Actually broccoli itself has 11.1 grams of protein per 100 calories. While beef has only 6.4 grams of protein per 100 calories

VC: Cow/animals are going to die anyways. It’s not going to make a difference if I eat meat that’s already dead and ready to eat.”
Me: Actually vegan/vegetarian saves 100 animals a year.

VC: I would go vegan/vegetarian if it wasn’t so expensive.
Me: If you do the math, there's no reason eating vegetarian or vegan should be more expensive than eating meat. At three, five, or eight dollars a pound, meat is one of the more expensive items you'll buy in the grocery store.
