over the last few years ive seen a lot of discussion over how or if Deltarune will really only have one ending, considering everything that happened in the weird route, and i think ive finally figured out where i stand on it. if you ask someone how many endings Undertale has, theyll usually say 3. pacifist, neutral, and no mercy. technically, though, theres 89 neutral endings, depending on many variations of how you reach that end. theyre similar enough overall, though, in that the monsters as a whole survive, but stay trapped underground indefinitely, that people generally just consider them one ending, even with such differences as which major characters are alive or dead, and how the remaining ones are doing. i think the "different" Deltarune endings will be similar to the "different" neutral endings. whateve major end of game event there is will end the same, with the same impact on the world, but different characters might be in different situations during and after the fact.

Meet Stanley!! He’s the spamton in my Deltarune AU: Newfound Freedom!! Character info startsssss here!!

Stanley is a schoolteacher in Birdsnest (a renamed Hometown), given basically the worst classes ever behavior wise both by coincidence and not (they think his blandness would mellow them out but nah).

His constant exposure to who he sees as the worst people ever starts to build in him a mindset that he’s somehow “better than them.” The mindset grows as time goes on, and eventually Stanley becomes tired of the everyday nagging, biting, scratching, you name it, and someone he’s never met comes and offers him a deal.

“Take this seed, eat it, and the world will finally listen.” Hesitantly, he takes the seed, and does as he’s told, opening the first dark world of the AU, covering the entirety of the schools building, students and faculty now trapped inside.

It’s now up to the Heroes Three to seal this dark world, restore the balance to their own, and maybe even save Stanley in the process.
