According to Nintega Dario on Twitter (X), Lisa Vischer is undergoing cancer treatments. Wasn't able to find the source, but in the comments he said he heard it on Phil's podcast The Holy Post, and as he's a prominent member of the VeggieTales fandom I trust he was telling the truth. Please keep Lisa in your thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to upload the drawing tutorial thing- I haven't had spoons to finish the captions.
I will be updating the icon to Summer so we can cap off the season in style, and as for the daily facts (which I haven't updated in a long time either... 😰) I'm planning to do those on my own time and own pace, starting soon. They may be random or they may still be in original episode order, I'm trying to decide.
Thank you for being so patient! I'm glad you've been enjoying the miscellaneous uploads, especially Shakespearian Larry (1000+ notes?!?!). Let's keep keeping VeggieTales alive.
This rendition of the traditional Christmas tune, sung by Lisa Vischer (wife of Phil Vischer and voice of Junior Asparagus) in the absence of Rebecca St. James, was used at the end of The Star of Christmas. It has never had an official release (as far as I'm aware), so the dialogue and sound effects at the beginning would have to be cleaned up and removed in order for this to be on CD-level.
She does! I'm pretty sure this is Lisa Vischer singing, aka the wife of Phil Vischer (co-creator of VeggieTales) and voice of Junior Asparagus.
Here's some more trivia for you! The ending song of The Star of Christmas ("O Come O Come Emmanuel") was originally planned to be sung by Rebecca St. James as a guest, but due to time and budget restraints, Lisa filled in instead. She absolutely killed it.
I added a description/ID to the "is this a plunger" video so people hard of hearing or Blind can enjoy it! I should have done that from the beginning; I'm sorry.
On-screen description: Goldie's Hogbottom Lard, as sung by the Chiswick Crooners, was written by Cavis and Millward at the beginning of their jingle-writing career. The Chiswick Crooners were sacked after their first performance of Goldie's Hogbottom Lard. End on-screen description.
Song description: A folksy arrangement with multiple harmonies, harmonica, washboard, and a low brass instrument. Radio static is audible in the background. End song description.
So excited to watch this! Please show Horned Pineapple, Gourd Animations, and crew your support- the VeggieTales fan animation community is incredible and they're keeping the spirit of Bob and Larry alive through projects like this!

I did concept art for this project. It was a blast!
In regards to a certain Phil & Mike show being announced... I never got a chance to send Bob and Larry a letter before the countertop was cleared off, so hopefully this'll do.
Dear Phil and Mike,
I'm not writing with a moral or spiritual dilemma, but rather to say hello. Hello to friends I've known my whole life, and the souls that brought them into being.
I'm not a child or a Christian, but I used to be both, and I still believe that songs and stories can communicate so much about people and the world we live in, for all ages. I still believe in laughter, in love, in hope.
I've been holding out hope your old show would come back. A lot of us have been. It wasn't just entertainment, it was a second home. But sometimes mistakes can't be reversed, no matter how much we blindly hope, and we can never truly bring back the past.
I guess I am writing with a dilemma.
Things are changing- reincarnating, to borrow the term. Things have changed. And I've never been easy to adapt. And yet, I still see glimmers of my childhood companions in you, perhaps more clearly then they could have ever been expressed otherwise. I see creativity, and perserverance, and potential.
I'm not sure I have a clear conclusion for this and I don't want to cry, so I'll just say, I wish you all the best. Thank you for everything.
