Within The Depths Of A Darkened Forest (2002).

Within the Depths of a Darkened Forest (2002) is a dream-pop, etheralwave album by Autumn's Grey Solace, consisting of eight beautifully written tracks, all somewhat resembling a lullaby. Erin Welton's soft, heavenly vocals compliment Scott Ferrel's timid, melodic guitar incredibly, creating a mesmerizing and unique sound for said album. The pair started the recording in the year 2000, taking them around eighteen months to release Within the Depths of a Darkened Forest. Scott has been in projects prior to this one, though never managing to find people who share the same ideas and passions as him. Later, discovering, multitrack recording, Scott realized that he could take his musical visions to a new level. Not limiting himself with a live band, Ferrell experimented a lot with his music in the late 90s, eventually finding a match for his musical goals: Erin Welton, who he realized was perfect, after listening to the vocals and lyrics she composed for one of his musical experiments. Both artists were self-trained. Scott knew how to play on more than four musical instruments, recording the instrumentals for the album entirely by himself. Currently, the duo has a total of sixteen albums and still keeps making music to this day :)
