The best days aboard the Alcor were, inarguably, days where the crew had nothing much to do at all; the waters are calm, the sun shines bright, and the only thing needed to keep the ship moving is the pleasant air of a cool sea breeze. It’s on perfect afternoons such as these, that you remind yourself how lucky you are to laze the day away with your lover atop one of the ship’s tented pavilions. Your head rests in his lap, and you close your eyes, breathing a sigh of absolute bliss as you feel kazuha’s nimble fingers shift through your hair, gently lulling you to sleep along with the steady heat of the sun and the quiet sound of the waves.

A low hum verberates in his throat, though the sound exits as a silvery whistle. Kazuha lets go of the leaf in his hands, watching as it dances in the wind before disappearing into the horizon, and smiles upon completing the haiku he’s been crafting in his head.

glistening sea shines

this moment lasts forever

heart be by your side

In your half dazed state, you intertwine your fingers in his, placing a chaste kiss on the back of his hand. The faint murmurs of ‘perfect’ and ‘kazuha’ pick up on the wind. Ah, has he recited his haiku aloud?
