Why do we act like anything we write in our teens is abysmal?

Yeah, our brains aren't fully formed yet. Maybe it won't be perfect, but I've seen people my age put out amazing things. I'm working on a novel of my own, but the lack of real support for teenage authors is making things tricky, especially in terms of motivation.

We may not be perfect, but our art is just as valid as an adult's. We may be going through any kind of phase (or not!), but that phase still ought to be nurtured so we end up better writers and artists by the end.

Teenage creatives like me, please don't put down your work because someone said you're too young. If it's not great, that's okay. You don't have to be 18 to know what you're doing.

Holiday map is super cool and adorable, my friend found this secret room with "GET HER" written everywhere and a note from Delilah saying that she didn't think Bassie should be the main, wonder what thats about

Eggson: seen too many people shittong on him but I think he's hilarious. The idea of this old man venturing down into the depths is hilarious.

Cocoa: cute, my friend adores her but I'm pretty neutral, her twisted is hilarious tho and her ability is cool

Flyte: the first Easter twisted to be on the board! Don't know if he can speak yet but I want to see interactions between him and Flutter he's pretty

Bassie: I love her so freaking much her ability is everything we needed and she's so cute and adorable and shy and I haven't seen her twisted yet but istg I will find her

Remakes shouldn't be made by people who hate the originals.

Snow White isn't supposed to be a symbol of female empowerment.

She has no power. She's not trying to gain any. She's a whimsical little weirdo singing to birds and living her best life despite her shitty circumstances and the evil queen who has everything she could ever want hates her for the crime of existing. The story is highlighting the ugliness of vanity and envy and one-sided spite. The romance wasn't even about finding love, marriage was a symbol of security. That's why the prince's role didn't matter.

Disney has sucked for a while for a multitude of reasons but one that bothers me significantly is these stupid remakes being made not to showcase timeless themes to a changing culture, but to maintain the branding while sloppily trying to save face against bad faith criticisms. If you hate Snow White then don't make Snow White. Make a new thing. There are plenty of people in this day and age who could use a story about a spiteful old bastard in power picking on a harmless whimsical little weirdo only to finally piss of the weirdo's weird friends enough to get yeeted off a cliff.
