If they offer the whole series on blu ray, I would probably buy it. Bad as it is, it was a weird chunk of my life.

Jennifer was the bull.
My dream ending:
Jennifer returns. Kills everyone.

It's a little amusing to see people realizing things five years later.

I'm sure they're trying for 29 seasons so this would never happen, but what we needed was a solid five eps or so just completely in the past. No narrator. Not flashbacks or memories. Not partial information. Just a bunch of eps showing in detail what happened.

The co has since retired. I miss him and I miss the early seasons of the blacklist.
On the second to last day before Christmas the co gave to me, one tin of popcorn, one box of chocolates, five candy caaaanes. And a long lecture about the wrongness of opening presents on Christmas Eve.
“That f**ker does not come down the f**kin’ chimney until Christmas morning.”

There you have it.
My respect to the Redarina people who stuck it out past season five with everything against them, including a cowardly network that wouldn't let the writers just say it.
I'm not going to pretend this was all handled skillfully, even halfway skillfully, but there it is.
#the blacklist#for me the thing was done with impostor itself#i don't like that angle at all#doesn't matter who it is#and i look fondly upon a time when red was red#and the story was sincere and things meant things#if they had been allowed to fully tell the story and hadn't dragged it out ten seasons maybe i would feel differently#but they weren't and they did

There may have been some significance about bulls that I didn't see earlier in the series, idk.
Aside from my initial reaction of amazement (people sat in a room and decided this was the way to kill reddington. This will go down in tv death history), my brain went to 'i wonder if there's a legend of some kind of bull from hell.' The bull version of the scythe. Like this is death itself come to claim him. The show begins with 'sympathy for the devil' and ends with him being dragged back to hell. But I couldn't really find anything.
#i actually talked myself into liking a metaphor that doesn't exist#it was also so funny randomly watching the finale after years because half the task force were strangers who loved reddington#and one overactor who hated him

Raymond Reddington trampled into a dent in the dirt by a bull.
I was actually moved by Dembe's life speech (even if it was a lil long and trite) and then the bull and Red faced off and I couldn't stop laughing.
They didn't have the balls to go full Redarina but they had the balls to do that. Amazing.
#i had no idea the show was ending or anything#i just happened to see a post about the series finale and a bull and i had to watch it#spoilers#the blacklist

hey, remember when the fulcrum was in three parts and one ended up in the hands of, presumably, some rich dude’s daughter, and one wound up buried in a presidential state car, and they never mentioned it again?
#and even if they had all the parts they'd need the dude's cipher to make it work#my apologies if they answered all this brilliantly in the last season cuz i didn't watch it
