◇ Headcanons : How Iconic* Hugh Grant Characters Might Care For You While Sick (Inspired by My Currently Having A Cold 🤒) ◇

◇ Mr. Reed : Makes you 2 mugs of herbal tea and 2 meals per day. The tea has crushed up sleeping pills in it, so you're out for 4-6 hours at a time. It's easier on him that way, plus ; if you have no option but to rest, your body will heal itself faster. Draws you a hot bath when you wake up. If you wake up. He's not exactly careful about the dosage. He believes in resurrection, you'll be fine.

◇ Daniel Cleaver : Cannot get sick!! He's got work!! And... other... things. Leaves some soup he likes and a sweater of his at your door on his way to the office and tells you to call him in a couple days when you're feeling better. (He calls you that night to check in, he's been thinking about you all curled up in that sweater and, well...)

◇ George Wade : Places a heat pack under your lower back and has the head chef at The Grand make up a few days worth of meals for you. He's also decided you need the full fat muffin basket from work more than he does. (And he's right.)

◇ Dr. Jonathan Fraser : Gives you an impromptu check-up, pen light and all, to confirm for himself that you are in fact sick, demands that you be on bed rest for the next few days, not allowing you to lift a finger for anything. Anything.

◇ Charles : Can barely take care of himself, and if you're sick, it's only a matter of time before he's sick. Sits in bed beside you apologizing for the incompetence of his own immune system, refilling the kettle in regular intervals and offering to drag himself out to pick up a curry for the both of you when he realizes you might get hungry having been bedbound and achey all day.

◇ William Thacker : When you tell him you're sick, he hangs up the phone and is outside your door in seconds with flowers, tea, tampons, chocolate, paracetamol, dramamine, ipecac, some book about Grecian tourism? He didn't have time to ask what type of sick you were. He just wants to make it better.

◇ Alex Fletcher : Can't even maintain a houseplant without assistance, but would tuck you in and follow every instruction you give him without hesitation. He's never been the type to waste a captive audience, so he'd likely play you a modest acoustic set under the guise of "running a few things by you".

◇ David : He's literally the PM. He'll send by a courier with flowers and supplies for you, and call to check in at the end of the day. He won't risk getting sick, but will gladly stay on the phone with you for hours till you're ready to get some rest.
