Update
Just so you know, I write Sailor Moon fanfics on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/users/venusribbons. I am currently writing a Dark Kingdom fic in preparation for the upcoming Black Moon chapter in my other fic.
That will be all. Love you :)

New post series: Matrilineality in European royalty
Yes, I am alive. Yes, you read the title right, these posts will come from the very same person who posted Sailor Moon content some time ago (and I want to resume, but I can't be certain about that). I am fascinated about how mtDNA has been used to identify historical figures, including royals such as the last Tsar and Tsarina of Russia, so I want to see who shared these little loops of biology with whom and that’s how it goes.
Here is the (planned) format: I will post the full-sized version of a family tree on DeviantArt and linked back here, with some accompanied texts. For my own sanity, I usually limit to Princes/Princesses (like the Prince of Monaco, not the Prince of Wales), Dukes/Duchesses (rulers of duchies, not just royal titles like the present), Grand Dukes/Grand Duchesses (think Luxembourg), Kings/Queens and Emperors/Empresses (I would love to be educated on these kinds of matter though). Then again, I also include some "lesser" royals, either because they married their matrilineal cousins (and there are so, so, so many cases!) or just because it's my tree and I do what I want. Kings/Queens regnant /Emperors /Empresses regnant’s names will be shown in bold, while names of Kings /Queens /Empresses consort will be in italic. Considering how... extensive and tangled some family trees can be, most of the text will be behind a “Read More” if anyone cares to read.
Edit: I usually try to put in the... ahem... “native” version of the names (let’s say Henri of France instead of Henry). Though, given how complex history can be, this can be hard to pin down...
Edit 2: Black lines represent mother-child relationship, and red line signify marriage. I have yet to seen a tree where the red lines are not all over the place...
Have fun, and be safe.

Well, I think at least half the Senshi would not even have the slightest idea of Daylight Saving Time, considering that the last time Japan observed it was in 1951, during the Allied occupation of Japan. (Source: “Japan Standard Time” article on Wikipedia).
And, by “half the Senshi”, I mean that these Senshi below may know about DST:
- Setsuna (definitely, Senshi of Time and all)
- Ami (definitely)
- Minako (especially 90s anime Minako, who has lived in England for about a year. I think PGSM Minako would know too.)
- Haruka and Michiru (maybe? I do not know how very rich people spend time abroad.)
Would the Senshi including Chibiusa and Hotaru be a fan of Daylight Savings Time?
NOBODY is a fan of Daylight Saving Time.

Dear @staff ,
Please don’t add the green “Since you’ve been gone” if a user doesn’t check Tumblr for under 72 hours. Do you want me to look at Tumblr 24/7 nonstop?

Tumblr mobile, I just went off Tumblr for less than 24 hours. Do you want me to stick my face into your app 24/7?

I was going to make a post along the lines of “Why were Sailor Moon’s disguises always such #hairgoals?”, and then I realised that was actually probably the point.
Usagi’s hair didn’t always change when she transformed. In the wedding dress episode, it was basically the same, just hidden under a veil, and notably in the fancy dress ball episode, she kept her regular hair so as to draw comparisons to Princess Serenity. But for the majority of her tranformations, her hair changed drastically, usually to be much, much shorter. I also realised, especially after taking these caps, that a lot of the emphasis of the shots was on her hair - the way it moved, the way it fell, etc. Even in episodes with a lower animation budget, or where she was only disguised for a very short time.
It made me realise that, yeah, the Disguise Pen is ultimate little-kid wish fulfilment, but not just because of the clothes/disguise; it’s also because cutting your hair can be really confronting, especially for kids, and especially if you have very long hair like Sailor Moon does. The desire to protect your long hair and maintain your current hairstyle vs. the desire to chop it all off and play around with how you look in different cuts can be a tough choice! A lot of kids have also experienced a disappointing/upsetting haircuts, so the thought of cutting it off can be scary, too. So while it’s supreme wish-fulfilment already to see Sailor Moon play around with different clothes, don disguises that let her get into restricted areas or pass by unnoticed, and to suddenly gain special knowledge or skills, but there’s an EXTRA layer of daydreaming wish fulfilment of how nice it would be to be able to just transform your hair into a radically different style, then change back to your long hair when you’re done.
That said, why were they such #hairgoals?

I know about that too, and I think I may move to Wordpress but still keep this Tumblr as long as I can. However, either task requires my lazy ass to WORK, which I don’t wanna...
Well, fuck.
I haven’t made new contents in ages and Tumblr isn’t exactly encouraging its userbase to stay, so what now?

Tumblr, please stop recommending blogs to me, no matter how wonderful they are. If I want to follow someone I can do it myself.

For some reason I ended up following a blog I have never seen before (and it’s not about anything I’m remotely into). Tumblr, please stop.
