Dream Journal Entry 40, 10/9/2014

I don't remember a lot of it, but I was being held prisoner with the queen of a medieval-time castle town. The King wanted all the power to himself, so he was executing her. I don't know why I was involved, but I was. While we were being locked up, the king walked in and gave me a not-riddle riddle, and if I could solve it he'd let us go. "I'll let you go if you tell me what it is children love".

So even though we were prisoners, we were allowed to walk around the town and talk to people, but we weren't allowed to take anything back with us. So we found some friends to help with our ultimate plan that we never talked about. They'd steal some pawn pieces from various chess boards, bring them to me and the queen, and then we'd sharpen them and stab the king the next day.

So we got our pieces and my dream jumped forward to the execution day, being held in the dining hall of the castle. There was a podium set up for the king to his announcements. In front of it was lots of tables with a bunch of peasants and me and the queen. Behind it was a lot of darkness. Like we weren't even using half the room so they were keeping the lights off on that side.

As we're eating our last meal, the king goes up to the podium and asks me if I had figured out the answer to his riddle. When he asked this, a bunch of glowing eyes appeared in the dark half of the room, and then I had my answer.  "Yes, children love to chase".

After I said that, I got up and ran. I never got to see them, but the eyes belonged to a bunch of monsters the king was keeping as pets. I could hear them killing everyone in that room as I ran, with the king laughing evilly. I ended up in the forest, running, and was sure that I would be killed if I ever stopped.

Then I woke up, the end.
