A gratitude-filled declaration After many months of treatment, stress, nausea and hardwork, I can officially say that I am a breast cancer survivor.  But I believe that the moniker “survivor” is misplaced on me. In popular culture, a survivor is a rugged individualist who overcomes insurmountable obstacles through shear Herculean strength and force of will. But it is actually with the strength and force of will of others that I survived. I know it's not much but I would like to do a broad, overall, public thank you to those whom have supported, encouraged and stood by me during my journey. It definitely was not easy, and there were way more downs than ups, but this amazing end result was well worth it and I humbly say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Certain special souls have inspired me during this difficult time when I needed words of encouragement, a shoulder to cry on and a welcomed distraction. You might not know how much your help has meant to me, and I know my words cannot express how grateful I am for your assistance, but I acknowledge, and will never forget, that you were there for me when I needed it the most. Thank you for everything that you have done to help me, and I am incredibly fortunate to have the special someones like you all in my life. I couldn't have done it with without you.
