Who am I?
I am bona fide student of University of Southeastern Philippines, taking up Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, 22 years old and currently residing at Lot 39, block 13, phase 1, San Pablo Street, La Verna Hills Subdivision, Barangay Cabantian, Buhangin District, Davao City, Davao del Sur. My previous address was at Jampayas Street, Barangay Poblacion, Municipality of Mawab, Compostela Valley Province and in that place I finished my elementary and secondary level of schooling and because of tertiary education we have transferred here at Davao City. My parents lived with me and I have four siblings in my family, Mary Grace P. Infante, Angelo Dave P. Infante, Cherry May P. Infante, Apple Jane P. Infante and yours truly Paul John P. Infante. I am a fifth year standing student and candidate for graduation which will be on the month of June on the twenty third day of two thousand seventeen.
As a unique individual, I also have favorites such like watching movies that are action, comedy, romance comedy and especially true to life story movies. I also love to read inspirational books as my reading material for self-empowerment because it directs my moral aspect of how to live in this world with positivity and nurture the beauty of God’s creation. This also encourage me to join organization affiliations in order to hone my leadership skills or my spirit of being a true leader. I love also to eat, drink, jog, dance and draw different beautiful places that exist in this world. I love to day dream in dreaming my tomorrow of what would be my future and ignite myself and preparing to be a good product of education that stands truth. I like to go in different places not just domestic areas but also international areas like Europe and America.
I want to be a versatile electrical engineer practitioner. In the reason that I want to help the world in energy shortage and promotes energy conservation, less power shortage and gain high efficiency in electricity. I want to modernize the electrical grid in the Philippines and not just in the Philippines but also in the whole wide world to bind the universe with one vision and goal as to preserve energy to use for the next generation and the future. I want also convinced myself to make clean energy that is generated in generation facilities transmitted by the transmission facilities and distributed in distribution facilities that is shared by different families that is used in different forms of communications, activities, transportation and industries and commercial firms. Power plants are wonderful because here we start the step up and step down of voltage that is to be transferred in the whole houses in the entire world.

Reason, Relativity and Responsibility in Computer Ethics
A great power comes with a great responsibility.
Prevalent Computer Technology is influential because computer is a technology that’s an informational enriching because of logical malleability and promotes conceptual shifts and development just like these relevant examples which brought big change in the society which made it to be a cashless civilization where monetary transactions were increasingly grounded in cards and with certain information; win in battle or warfare in different countries by eliminating the ability of the enemy’s communication system; copyright protection and patenting for personal property and ethical and legal practices and concepts highlights information privacy or personal information. These are just some of the abilities that the Computer technology is capable with. That’s why it’s the most prevalent technology in the whole world because of its connection in the daily life of an individual that affects its overall performance and accept as a methodology in such performing an activity. Computer technology can never be powerful without its computer ethics. Computer Ethics is not simply an ethic that is applied to computing because computer ethics require more straightforward application of ethical principles to situations and should be appropriate, and this made the computer ethics unique.
Logical malleability is defined one of the important property of computer ethics, this able the computer to manipulate any activity that can be characterized in terms of inputs, outputs and connecting logical operations. It manipulates syntically which can change the computer performance through alternations of its program. The other one is semantically which presentation of the particular subject. The special nature of the computer ethics describes first the analysis of nature and social impacts of computer technology. Second is the corresponding formulation and justification of policies for the ethical use of such technology.
Though computer ethics has its good features, however it’s also facing a big challenge in globalization which is the global impact. One of the reason in the computing activity is the globally interactive which appealing to local customs and laws which will not in general provide with an answer to what should do when customs and laws conflict. And other point of it’s the issue of the human values since facts are always in the escort of values, so it’s necessary to discuss the ubiquity of non-ethical values and emphasize their use in every aspect of human activity. These take note that computing has a big impact to human life which can provide a better world or a worst world.
The challenges of the computer ethics were based on the reasons within its relative framework, routine ethics position and cultural relativism, and the ethical responsibility. In order to face the challenges the computing had advance its method by providing resolution techniques such like empirical investigation, impartial positioning and evaluation of policies, and analogies for resolving disagreements. Though computing provides resolutions, it still have residue but it should not be feared of.
All in all the global conversation is still the key to solve the social and ethical impact of computing.

Let’s Talk Operating System Comparison
Operating System is the most important program that runs on a computer. Without operating system it’s impossible to run other programs and applications in order to perform basic tasks such as recognizing input from keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files, directories on the disk and controlling peripheral devices such as printers. And for large system, the operating system has even greater responsibilities and powers which like a traffic cop which defines to make sure that different programs and users running at the same time do not interfere with each other. In addition Operating system is also responsible for security, ensuring that unauthorized users do not access the system.
Windows, Mac and Ubuntu are the three identified operating system in the computer world.
Windows is the most widely used operating system for desktop and laptop computers. It’s developed by Microsoft which primarily runs on x86-based computers, although versions have run on intel’s itanium CPUs. It also provides a graphical user interface and desktop environment in which applications are displayed in resizable, movable windows on screen.
Mac is the computer for Apple Computer’s Macintosh line of personal computers and workstations. A popular feature of its latest version, Mac OS X, is a desktop interface with some 3-D appearance characteristics. OS X has a modular design intended to make it easier to add new features to the operating system in the future. It runs UNIX applications as well as older Mac applications where UNIX is became the first operating system written in the C language.
Ubuntu is an open source Debian-based Linux distribution which is sponsored by Canonical Ltd., It’s considered as a good distribution for beginners and even intended for personal computers but it can also be used on servers. Its primary version is GNOME (GNU Network Object Model Environment) a graphical user interface (GUI) and set of Desktop applications for Linux and it’s the leading server Operating System.
In comparing the three operating systems the Ubuntu is much flexible in terms of taskbar features and control panel, and competitive with openness for open source in public source license. For hardware requirements Linux can run on lesser powered machines by default than Mac and Windows. In terms of security both Mac and windows can be hacked than the Linux is not, because Linux is better equipped in the area of security and it shines over all in terms of portability. And in terms for cost for Operating System alone the Linux is Free, while for hardware cost the Mac is 3 times expensive than Linux. And based on Welcome to Freecode Linux has far more software available than Mac and windows which only has 19,100,000 hits than Linux has 45,700,000 hits.
I would prefer to use as an official OS for the EE course in USeP is the Ubuntu operating system because of the points above and it is more stable than other OS and virus free which you don’t need to buy any antivirus software.

My Reflection on Pirates of Silicon Valley
The Pirates of Silicon Valley directed by Martyn Burke would be an eye opener for the millennial today, in showcasing how the computer is invented, marketed and developed by high-caliber persons that are surrounded by hundreds of people that have common interest but different in perspectives. In the year 1971 at Berkeley the Blue Box Computer was invented, which has basic features that can only offers to the society as to ease small workloads for users. But with this year Steve Jobs and his amazing friend Will had seriously curios on the invention which helps them to gain wide imagination and decided to make it in reality. Steve and Will are friends with common denominator or desire to pursue as they aim to be good business men and entrepreneur in their own technological invention. These two hectic persons are so good to be look forwarded in terms of their passion in doing and finishing the job they are working because of the spirit that they have attained to make every time be useful and utilized.
In the year 1974 at Harvard University, Steve and Will had increase their level of curiosity in maximum rate just only to be energized in their passion to create the minicomputer as to compete with the Altair Mits Computer. They have relied on their strength and confidence to beat and make most familiar and uplifted computer invention in the history. With this remarks I am very challenged to make an innovative invention which would not stop in just in imagination but to see and aspire the community to be aware and informed for the new beginning, instead. In the year 1976, Steve and Will had go back to Berkeley from the Harvard University just to present their invention the minicomputer which has a big impact to the people around them which also brought lots of orders to release on their co-students. This has brought good and remarkable output in my-self as they had finished their invention and made the invention popular and because of this I can claim to myself that I had offered good stewardship to my community by giving countless of effort and laudable presentation that would change the world in just a one snap. This would be very helpful for people to make their lives convenient and much inspired to serve and helped them to understand the standards of being a human. In contrary with a blessed mind is the moral attitude that would rule and control a man for its heart be stone just the same with Steve Jobs and Microsoft and the like they do it in the name of success. They will pirate the enemy’s data company and make unnecessary information to the company just to make the consumer be focused to them alone. This I can prove that not all people are allowed by God in good attitude with sound mind but to equal it and have fairness because of room for development and to decipher more ourselves.

Republic Act 10173
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 has been approved and signed by the Speaker of the House of Representative and President of the Senate and most important the signature of the President of the Philippines Benigno S. Aquino III, Fifth President of the Fifth Republic and the Fifteenth President of the Philippines. This implies that the RA 10173 is highly implemented and should be highly respected as a Law in the Philippine Government. But what is really inside the RA 10173 or also known as Data Privacy Act of 2012 and what is its role in the country?
The RA 10173 is an act the provides safeguard for the individual personal information such information and communication systems that maybe in government or private sector against unauthorized processing of personal and sensitive information, accessing personal and sensitive information due to carelessness, improper disposal of personal and sensitive information, intentional breach, hide of security breaches involving sensitive personal information, malicious disclosure, unauthorized disclosure and combination of series of acts. Because of these violations and such crime acts the National Privacy Commission was created by the RA 10173 to strengthen the security and punished the accused criminals that breached the law and helped people not to tolerate such endemic act as they are victimized by this immoral individuals and to help them to fight their rights as stated by the RA 10173. The National Privacy Commission is entrusted to administer and implement the provisions of the Act and to fully spread the awareness of the Data privacy act to make the people be informed and be knowledgeable in their personal and sensitive personal information so that they may be wised in securing there selves against malicious acts and be vigilant on their negligence that attracts and tempts the criminal to do such un lawful act. National Privacy commission had also the right to monitor and ensure compliance of the country with international standards set for data protection.
All personal information of an individual are confidential it may be simple or complicated, short or long, few or many as long as it is personal then it should be respected as private and important. An another person has no right to force a person to give his personal information for just his or her own good for the intention of making other person be suffered, it is a criminal act and because of that the person entitled of such violation is penalized in accordance of his or her violation and be committed to pay such fines for the damages he or she created to the person he or she violated with not less than five hundred thousand Pesos only or an imprisonment with not less than one year.
Every action is entitled for a heavy responsibility, though we may say that we are free to do what we want to do because of freedom but I should say to you that there is no freedom at all because in such act you have a consequence to face off and you are not free to choose what consequence that you should pay for.

Objectives:

Overview
Energy Reduction Consumption or so called ERC is a software application that manages to calculate the specific values and identifies types of conditions in getting the energy reduction of an appliance that has been energized or has been fed on the circuit.
The application entitles to inform the consumer, user or the researcher for their appliance used by practicing the REDUFOIL method. The following will be calculated by the application:
1. Energy efficiency, it is the measure of the minimized losses, the ratio between output and input of energy in household appliances.
2. Amount of energy reduction, the process of lowering down the value of energy in terms of kilowatt-hours. It can be identified by calculating the difference of the month energy consumption of the appliance in control group and the monthly energy consumption of the experimental group to have the conserved energy in month.
3. Percentage reduction, it is a method to easily understand on how would the consumer or the user realize the amount of energy reduction and its energy efficiency of the appliance/s.
4. Electromagnetic shielding, the phenomenon in which a certain material covers or impedes the electromagnetic flux of a current-carrying conductor. It can be solve through calculating the Total time of appliance by monthly usage multiplies to a 0.1KWH all over the measured time used of the experimentation or appliance equals to monthly energy consumption of the experimental group
5. Monthly savings, It can be identified by Monthly savings = Conserved Energy per in a Month multiplied to Davao light’s current charge per Kwh
The following are the variables of the case:
· Voltage, the electric pressure that causes the electrons to move through a conductor wire.
· Ampacity, used in measuring the strength of an electric current.
· Wattage, the rate or measure of power used to consume.
· Time Hours of Usage, the period where the experimentation is conducted.
· Length of wire plug, it is used to get the required aluminum foil to coil and to get the resistivity in the wire for a specific appliance.
· No. of turns of AluFoil on the wire, to know how much electromagnetic shielding would be available in the wire.
In terms of condition of the Energy efficiency and the percentage reduction, it can be categorize in three notifications:
· Excellent – it means that it gets the right percentage of energy reduction of the appliance as it is fed in the circuit and the energy produced is efficient.
· Good – it means that the percentage of energy reduction is just hitting below normal rate maybe because of some factors that are affecting the variables on some conditions. The Energy efficiency is not in 1 percent with the same reason of the variable conditions, it would also be considered the quality of the appliance being used.
· Fair – it is a precaution that the appliance being fed would be damaged or may not producing good quality. It would also notify that the application is not a good energy saving for the appliance so that it need some repair. It would also understood that the user will not be satisfied on its production where the energy is not efficient and it will waist and consume time.
