Plan for Coverage during festival:

Ekattor Television is leading & most popular News channel in Bangladesh which broadcast News & infotainment program around the world. It is a great opportunity for us to be part of you.

 This is our second year initiative for live and press coverage from Festival De Cannes. It was huge success in 70th festival.  We will send the news of Cannes for our hourly bulletin as well as Skype connectivity. We will do special bulletin for our Cultural Show ‘Anondojog’ in every 5.20 pm in local time during the festival. And we have special grand program for opening and closing award ceremony.

 We will be happy to take some special interview from Filmmakers and the organizers this year.

 We also focus on Marche du films and Short film Corner.

 We are also planning for wrap of the festival and share to our audience for such a big event.

   Cinema is the most popular entertainment medium in Bangladesh and Festival de Cannes is most attractive event here for movie lovers. Presence of the Filmmaker Kamar Ahmed Symon from Bangladesh got special attention for the viewers last year . We have seen this trends started from our late filmmaker Tareque Masud which film ‘The Clay Bird’ got the International Critics' FIPRESCI Prize, in the Directors' Fortnight section outside competition at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival. The film became Bangladesh's first film to compete for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His follower Kamar Ahmad Saimon’s documentary ‘ Are You Listening!’ got the Grand Prix last year in “Cinema Du Reel” of France and last year had been invited to “L'Atlier” in the 70th Cannes Film Festival. The young director received the invitation for his film “Day After Tomorrow”. 

 We hope there will be more film participation from Bangladesh in coming day. We hope our press coverage will make a change among filmmakers and activists in Bangladesh
