Holy shit I was casually drawing Sonic Dash Captain Shadow getting stabbed and then this amazing fuckin thought came to me I need you to listen

Imagine in Sonic Prime (Netflix), where Sonic is literally going to be traveling the multiverse, we see Captain Shadow and Pirate Sonic or a Pirate timeline in general. Lmfao. Imagine. I would lose my shit. I would flip the fuck out. Give me 5 minutes of seeing Cap. Shad and Pirate Sonic on a ship together my brain would melt. Like imagine we get a canon The Maria.

Even just as an easter egg or we see them interacting in the background. It would be so fun.

If they are significant in any way though, they better make them use pirate lingo.

They should let Shadow kill

They should let him scare Sonic but genuinely. Like Sonic tries to get through to him but Shadow’s just so fucking malicious and jaded he’s like “what if I just kill people because I can?”. Because Sonic is convinced he can be redeemed and has a motive. “I can’t be saved because there’s nothing here to save. And I’ll kill you if you don’t kill me first.” Maybe a little far fetched but really just let him be a tad unhinged. His memories are fucked and he wants to destroy the world. Let it be quiet, it’s scarier that way. Imagine soft-spoken Shadow whispering in your ear that he’ll let you kill him right now. He’s not actually like that, but he’s trying to get Sonic out of his way. It’s a bit cynical and funny to him.

Imagine they don’t show Maria getting shot (for obvious reasons) but they show Shadow’s reaction to it. Personally, I would add a little blood spraying on the escape pod but again, this is why I’m not in charge of making kids movies.

I want to see sickly Maria. Nasal cannula, maybe even a crutch showing why Shadow had trouble getting her to outrun the invasion. Speaking of that, wouldn’t it be cool to have like, blaring lights and shit during that scene. A message to evacuate. Etc.

If we got a scene where we see how the escape pod lands that would be so sick. I remember, I either read something or saw art of Shadow, alone in the escape pod in the middle of the ocean. And like, the waves were crashing and shit and it was dark and amazing.

Eclipse Little Brother AU:

When Shadow and Sonic are 16, Eclipse is 10. Tails is 9.

Shadow and Eclipse lived w Rouge while Shadow was still a minor, but when Shadow turned 18 he got his own place and Eclipse moved in with him. (Rouge definitely did not cry while they were packing the moving truck).

Sonic and Tails met Eclipse about 3 days after he started living w Rouge and Shadow. It was basically like “I need a favor” and Sonic was like “haha lol you?” and then he was like “I need you to babysit my brother for like a few days I have work” and Sonic was like “WHAT.”. Shadow and Rouge felt like they couldn’t leave Eclipse alone just yet since he had already set the cabinets on fire.

Shadow and Eclipse can communicate telepathically. This results in spontaneous arguments nobody understands, but Eclipse likes gesturing so it’s not hard to get the jist. (They did it a lot more when Eclipse was younger bc he was shy, but now they only do it when they don’t want anybody else to hear what they’re saying.)

Eclipse and Tails are fast friends. No elaboration besides Tails is responsible for the majority of his sanity and his voice of reason.

Eclipse can move without making any noise so he loves scaring people. Doesn’t work with Shadow, however.

He was super attached to Rouge in the very beginning. The kid that hides behind his mother’s skirt type deal. (Shadow would tease him about it, not out of jealousy or anything like that). He, to this day, still goes to her for advice and help. And her door is always open to him.

GUN tried to recruit Eclipse as soon as they heard about him. Shadow had to fight them on it. Sadly, when Eclipse is older he ends up working for GUN anyway. With Team Dark. And Shadow is forced to train him, to the delight of Eclipse and the utter annoyance of Shadow.

Eclipse is a gamer no elaboration.

Sonic taught him how to drive. I don’t know why but it’s just funny to me.

On that note, Eclipse and Sonic get along great. + He thinks Knuckles is the coolest person ever, much to Shadow’s exasperation.

Eclipse and Cream are buds, and them + Tails are a trio. A very chaotic one. Cream is out of pocket by accident at lot and Eclipse thinks that’s hilarious. And Charmy is like, Cream’s cousin that joins in sometimes. (Shadow is glad that he could grow up with a good support system)

On that note, once Eclipse was thrown into the mix, he would drag Shadow everywhere with him and that means actually interacting with people outside of Team Dark. So, he’s part of the reason why Shadow’s mellowed out over the years.

Eclipse and Shadow have a lot of similarities, despite everything. They’re both cat people (and have one), have the same taste in food, same favorite movies, both hate hospitals, like spicy stuff, struggle w their identity as Black Arms, etc. Once you get to know Eclipse, you’ll realize he’s actually pretty introverted, too (Or, at least, he can appreciate being alone. It’s actually surprising to see him not running his mouth all the time, you never realize how empty a room is without his voice until he’s quiet.)

Shadow didn’t tell Eclipse about Maria until a whole year after Eclipse was adopted (so to say). They had a fight, and shit kind of hit the fan. Eclipse, for a while, was upset that everybody seemed to know except for him.

I just wanted to add that, with Shadow’s age, my personal head-canon is that he would stop growing after he’d reached adulthood. (It would make sense for the Ultimate Lifeform to be a young adult and not a teenager, as adulthood is often when physical strength peaks). But on a real note, Prime Shadow currently is a minor. He’s not ageless, he’s immortal. There’s a difference between the two.

Eclipse is scared of his powers, so he seldom uses them. He’s used his mind control/mental manipulation before, but only by accident or during emotional outbursts, and he’s almost always regretted it right after. There was an incident with how he found out about Maria, so after that point he’s tried not to do something like that again.

Somewhere before he started working for GUN, he worked at a Chili Dog stand.

There were some issues with Eclipse’s cravings for mobian blood at first. It freaked Shadow out a lot, especially since he struggles with knowing he’s half Black Arm. There was worry regarding how essential this “form of nourishment” was to Eclipse’s health, but luckily, it wasn’t required. Dude just eats a lot of red meat and chews iron supplements now. He gets embarrassed when it’s brought up, though. Obviously, in the moment, it was a big deal but now Rouge makes vampire jokes to mess with him (she gets to, he bit her in the leg).

Eclipse grows taller than Shadow eventually.

Eclipse doesn’t have any nicknames, but he likes making them up on the spot for Shadow. Shadizzle and Shanice are some examples. One time, in verbal banter, Eclipse called him Shadouchebag.

This did not end well.
