I've had a chat with a woman named Suad and she's trusted me to share her story with you all.

Suad is a young engineer from Gaza who was excelling in her field, and had recently been told that she is pregnant. She had a bright future ahead of her until disaster struck and Israel and their constant bombings destroyed everything she holds dear.

She and her husband are now living out of a tent like many Gazans now. They have had to struggle to find food and water, and not only this, but Suad is also trying to nurture an unborn baby without access to adequate food and the prenatal care that a pregnant mother needs.

She is fundraising now to get herself, along with her husband and their family members out of Gaza. They require $20,000 to get out of Gaza and an additional $8,000 for transfer costs and living expenses in Egypt.

As of right now, they have made only $2,732 of their goal and their situation is urgent. Suad is now nearly 9th months along and will be giving birth to her child very soon in very dangerous conditions for both herself and the baby.

Faten Abuhamda @fatenahmed, a mother of 3 from Gaza, has reached out to me and trusted me with her story. She wants me to share it with all of you.

Faten is accompanied by her husband, Ahmed, who is an amputee due to a previous war in Gaza, and their 3 children, Sama (7 years old), Loai (4 years old), and Yousef (10 months old)

This latest tragedy that's befallen the Abuhamda family starts on the first day of the war, nearly 8 months ago. The occupation forces struck right beside their home, and this is the first time of many that their family has had to evacuate where they are living. And from that day, their family has not known a single stable place to live.

Faten and her family have had to evacuate 3 times, and are now in Deir al Balah, but even that is not safe for them. They cannot afford to replace their children's clothing even. Nevermind the psychological mental anguish this has caused these very young children.

In order to make food for her family to eat, Faten is forced to cook on a campfire and the heat and smoke is irritating her throat. She and her husband are exhausted. And as the weather turns even hotter, they're forced to work under a scorching sun to make sure their children are fed everyday.

Everyday presents a new threat to their lives, whether it is to the artillery and massacres of the occupation forces or whether it is due to the horrible conditions they're forced to live under.

They need $18,000 to evacuate Gaza, and they've only got $1,449. Any amount you can donate would go to helping this family find a safe place away from the bombings, famine, and disease. Please donate and share as well.

They're raising $62,500 to evacuate 11 people. This includes Fadi's 9-month old baby, his parents, and his wife.

I'd like to talk about a 17 year old girl called Tala Nassar @talanassar. She urged me to share her family's story.

On Oct. 7th this family lost everything they own. They were forced to evacuate several times and now they are currently in Rafah. And things in Rafah are worse than anyone can imagine right now.

Tala's father has gone missing. They haven't been able to reach him for 2 days now. And Tala's mother, Rania Shaqqoura, who is now without her husband and caring for her 7 children, is 49 years old and was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. She is without treatment for her illness as the medical infrastructure is completely gone in Gaza.

Additionally, Tala and her siblings are suffering health issues due to the environment they are forced to live in and the unimaginable pain both physical and mental they are affected by.

Everyday they fear it is their last day, and they urgently need your help to evacuate Gaza and get to safety.

They have a goal of €30,000 and their donations are very low right now, sitting only at €1,441. It's urgent that you donate whatever you can and please share this!

I'd like to bring your attention to a campaign by Shahd Abu Mousa, a passionate dentistry student in Gaza whose studies were cut short by the violent ongoing genocide, and whose dreams were dashed when she and her family lost everything they own.

Shahd is trying to raise funds to save her family's lives, including her older brother, her parents, and her 3 younger sisters. They are a loving family, just trying to survive these horrific circumstances.

In addition to raising funds for her family, Shahd has been conducting the important and heroic work of acting as a volunteer dentist during the war, at great risk to herself, just to provide healthcare to her fellow Gazans at a time when resources are scarce and the medical infrastructure of Gaza is completely gone.

Being forced to constantly evacuate from area to area under threat of bombing and gunfire, as well as the scarce resources is no way to live. And this family needs your help. They are requesting $40,000 and have only reached $4,811 as of now. Their donations have gotten slower, and as tumblr continues to shadowban Shahd's accounts, she needs help spreading the word.

My father was martyred by Israel on 10 October 2023 after sacrificing his care in hospital so the injured children could take priority. Today would have been his 60th birthday. He was always selfless, kind, and giving for others. My father gave up everything for me to be able to have a better life, because that is what he always dreamed for me and my sister. The world suffered a great loss when he died, and my heart is always with him and every Palestinian who has lost someone.

In his honour and memory, I would love for anyone who is able to do so to consider donating to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

The PCRF is an amazing organisation that does so much for those in Gaza right now, including helping provide food, water and medicine. You can donate any amount you are able to- there is no minimum! My father would have given his very last cent if he saw the way Palestine was continuing to suffer after over 100 days with this limited aid, so I know celebrating him by helping others is the least he would have wanted.

I saw @parrot-parent do a very successful donation match and I thought it was such a good idea so I will also match all donations up to $500! If you feel comfortable sending me proof of the amount of your donation, I will match it as a donation at the end of February. rn the two im rotating the most is a qpr (queerplatonic) couple named August and Poppy. where they're both like, narrative foils for eachother. August is a ghost who has too much world-building attached to explain why in detail but basically he had magic powers that were restricted by the government, then joined a paramilitary group with the aim of removing those restrictions after his brother got mugged in front of him and he couldnt do anything. he slowly realizes this was in fact a Bad idea, but refuses to ask for help and dies in the line of fire. to simplify his baggage, he thinks of himself as a burden, and removes himself from situations/relationships in order to 'rectify' that. Poppy also has powers (secret) where she can make spirits of the dead more tangible, as a side hobby? ig? she tries to offer last messages from the dead to their families, which she then tries to do with august. however they like get really attached to eachother and he ends up just, sticking around and they (platonically) fall in love. her baggage is she thinks shes a burden but she 'rectifies' that by giving herself away.
