Been spending more time in the Eau Gallie Art District. New places opening up- has a lot to offer.

So I have a new friend in the neighborhood. He's either on this branch next to the driveway, or on the roof of my car. I tried to get him to perch on my forearm, but he wasn't having it.

I've also been playing Trivia on Wednesdays at my favorite place- The Cottage. Different crew, smaller amount of teams, less competitive vibe.

Sorry it's been so long since my last post. Life kind of went South for a while, but I'm back in the game. Will try to catch up. I've been playing Trivia every Monday night at very cool place called Intracoastal Brewing. And I'm lucky to have a fun and smart team to play with.

Last week I was lucky enough to see Godzilla Minus One on a gigantic CWX screen. This is a 70th Anniversary remake of the very first Godzilla movie, also made by the legendary Toho studios. Heartfelt character development, a solid balance of action and drama- and a really cool homage to Jaws thrown in for fun. I highly recommend this for anyone who's sentimental about Gojira like me. And the cryptic title actually fits.

I'd never seen this on the big screen, so I couldn't resist the 40th Anniversary showing. And I actually talked the Cottage crew into joining me. Kara had never seen it, and she normally doesn't care for violent movies. But on the way out she was quoting lines lol. "Say goodnight to the Bad Girl".

My Friday Board Meeting. Amazingly funny, well traveled, well read friends. 4-7 at The Cottage; I look forward to this every week. Slainte everyone!

Tonight was The Cottage's first Trivia night. 10 teams showed up. My platonic life partner Kara and I won! Nice to know the neurons are still firing. Even while drinking Guinness.

Had a lot of fun at the 35th Anniversary show of They Live. I'd never seen on the big screen before, and it really added to the experience. Had the pleasure of my friend Hannah's company, who didn't know anything about the movie or John Carpenter. I think she loved it almost as much as me.

Found this candle at a cool gift shop in downtown Bradenton. I used to use this wax on my board when I surfed. Sentimental- it smells like my youth. Couldn't resist.

So much to see in Bradenton now. Need to return soon.

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to have the company of these amazing guys in Bradenton. So many laughs. A great time in a great town!

Happy 4th of July! I'd never seen this on the big screen before. The theater was packed, and there were people who clearly hadn't seen it before, based on their comments and reactions. And people dressed up as the characters.

The Vero Beach Art Museum has an incredible exhibit of art deco cars from the 1920-30's. More than cars; these are magnificent. Lucky to spend a fun afternoon with friends, in the presence of art that I'd only ever seen in books. Oddly exhilarating- you had the feeling that they wanted to be driven.
