Hai Hau beaches - Ideal summer destination in northern Vietnam
Footprint Vietnam Travel - Surely when it comes to beaches in Vietnam, many people will immediately think of famous white sand beaches such as Nha Trang, Da Nang… But few people know that Hai Hau district in Nam Dinh also has its own wonderful and unique beaches. These are not only great destinations for you to enjoy the cool sea air but also impressive experiences.
Tumblr media
Hai Thinh Beach In Thinh Long town, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh
Hai Thinh Beach is considered an ideal destination for your summer vacation. Only 160km from Hanoi, this beach has cool air and smooth white sand that has attracted countless visitors.
The reason is because the white sand here is very fine, when combined with the blue of the ocean, it creates a wild and mysterious natural picture.
Coming to Hai Thinh beach, you have the opportunity to experience swimming at two large beaches. If the first beach is extremely bustling with convenient shops, the second beach will be simpler and more rustic, giving you moments to immerse yourself in the life of the fishing village people. But no matter which beach, when you come to Nam Dinh beach, you will definitely have wonderful moments of relaxation.
To explore Hai Thinh beach more complete, you can combine sea tourism with visiting famous temples and pagodas in Nam Dinh such as Tran Temple, Phu Day, Co Le Pagoda, and the Memorial House of the late General Secretary Truong Chinh. All these experiences will leave you with many good impressions.
Xuong Dien Beach In Hai Ly commune, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh Located only about 40km from Nam Dinh city center and 150km from Hanoi, Xuong Dien beach becomes an ideal destination for short weekend trips. Although it is not an ideal place for swimming because the waves here often hit hard, this beach is a paradise for you to take photos and admire nature.
The unique and attractive point of Xuong Dien beach is the Heart Church. Due to the encroachment of seawater, the church now only has the bell tower and the outer skeleton remaining. This ruin is both ancient and magical, creating a unique check-in space that makes everyone want to capture the magical moment when coming here.
With its vast and open space, Xuong Dien beach is an ideal destination to watch the movement of nature between day and night. You can enjoy the brilliant sunrise or romantic sunset, when the sun seems reluctant to leave the sea.
Xuong Dien Beach is a unique gem in Nam Dinh beach tourism, where you can not only immerse yourself in the wonderful natural beauty but also experience unique check-in spots.
Thinh Long Beach In Thinh Long town, Hai Hau district, Nam Dinh
Although Thinh Long Beach does not have fine white sand like the wonders in Nha Trang or Phu Quoc, it still scores with its own unique beauty. The crystal clear sea water creates a fresh, cool atmosphere even when the sun is shining brightly.
In particular, Thinh Long beach is also famous for its unique stone and concrete embankments with unique shapes. This is not only a great place to enjoy the cool sea water and participate in recreational activities such as jet skiing and fishing, but also an ideal place for you to take lovely photos.

What is attractive about Dinh cape in Ninh Thuan
Asiatica Travel Vietnam - Mui Dinh or Dinh Cape is located in Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province, 30km south of Phan Rang - Thap Cham city center.
Tumblr media
The road to Mui Dinh is quite difficult and bumpy. There are almost no residents here, so it still retains its rare wildness. That is why Mui Dinh still retains its peaceful appearance, creating a gentle, relaxing feeling for those who accidentally set foot here.
Although located quite far from the city center, Mui Dinh is still a place visited by travel enthusiasts because of the majestic scenery, as well as the endless beauty of the roads leading here.
How to get to Mui Dinh By motorbike: Traveling by motorbike is the method chosen by many young people when traveling to Mui Dinh. This is a convenient means of transport, helping you easily conquer difficult terrain as well as being more proactive in moving or stopping to rest.
If you choose to travel from Phan Rang - Thap Cham city to Mui Dinh, you can follow National Highway 1A to the South for about 15km. When you reach Van Lam Cham village, turn left and go through the Lagerstroemia area for about 8km, you will see Dai Bang mountain. From Dai Bang mountain, you travel another 7km to reach Son Hai village. Finally, you will move through a sand desert to reach Mui Dinh area.
In addition, there is also a road to Mui Dinh with beautiful coastal scenery, which is the road along Ca Na beach. When you pass Ca Na lagoon, turn onto DT701 road to go to Mui Dinh. Please note that this is a road with many bends and turns, you need to concentrate and have a steady hand on the wheel.
By bus: To get to Mui Dinh from Ho Chi Minh City, you can choose bus routes to Ninh Thuan from Mien Dong Bus Station with fares ranging from 160,000 - 200,000 VND/person.
Bus routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Ninh Thuan usually take about 5 hours. To save time, you can travel the night before, stay overnight on the bus and arrive in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city early in the morning.
By train: In addition to the above means, you can travel to Mui Dinh by train. From Ho Chi Minh City to Ninh Thuan, the fares ranges from 150,000 - 250,000 VND. From Hanoi to Ninh Thuan, the ticket price will range from 600,000 VND.

The picturesque beauty of Mui Dinh Mui Dinh has many beautiful landscapes. In addition to the rocky cape jutting out towards the sea to welcome the wind and rain, this place also contains romantic beauty like a love letter of Ninh Thuan embracing the beautiful Central strip of land.
As mentioned above, to get to Mui Dinh, you can move through the DT701 route. This route appears with a beauty that you can imagine as a remote expeditionary area. With one side being rolling hills and dotted with an ecosystem that thrives on barren land but still retains its lush green color. On the way to Mui Dinh, you can see sheep farms covering a green grassland, or see a peaceful and gentle sand dune called Nam Cuong. Nam Cuong sand dune is about 8km from Phan Rang, where you can see life slowing down every sunset, when Cham girls wearing jars on their heads are gently moving across the sand to return home.
Unlike Hon Do which is another attraction in Ninh Thuan famous for coral rocks, Mui Dinh has its own wild and gentle beauty. The clear blue sea water gently rushes to the shore, blending with the white sand, creating a peaceful feeling for those who visit here. The large rocks with strange shapes are like a strange highlight for the scenery of Mui Dinh.
Looking from above on Dai Bang Mountain, you can admire the whole view of Mui Dinh like a colorful landscape painting stretching out to the vast ocean. In addition to the vast beach with clear blue water and gentle as a light breeze, around Mui Dinh is also a large desert area dotted with a few rows of cacti stretching out among the white sand.
In the distance is the 180m high Mui Dinh lighthouse, built during the French colonial period in 1904, with the task of lighting the way for ships entering and leaving the cape safely.
The road to Mui Dinh lighthouse is quite beautiful, you can see goats walking on the slopes. When you reach the top of the lighthouse, you can freely admire the whole view of Mui Dinh and admire the ingenuity of nature.

Things visitors should know about Cat Hai island
Asiatica Travel Vietnam - Cat Hai island, Hai Phong City, is one of two towns in Cat Hai District. This island is very vulnerable to erosion and tidal erosion, with an area of about 40 square kilometers, running along the East Sea coast. To cope with this situation, a 2,048-meter-long breakwater has been built and a total of 10 kilometers of dike road serving to block waves and sand.
Tumblr media
Cat Hai Island is considered a beautiful tourist destination, with scale and potential for tourism development. From a breakwater construction, this place is gradually becoming an attractive destination for tourists, especially young people who love to explore.
Cat Hai not only attracts visitors by its natural beauty but also captivates them by the beauty of tradition, with long-standing festivals. Coming to Cat Hai you will have the opportunity to participate in the boat racing festival. This festival takes place on 21st day of the first lunar month every year, when people go to sea to pray to Nam Hai Dai Vuong - the god who protects the sea, to hope for a year of favorable weather, bringing prosperity in catching seafood.
Best time to visit Cat Hai island Cat Hai is an island with a cool and temperate climate. Spring has light winds, little rain and lots of sunshine, with quite warm weather. From May to June is the time when the south wind is strong. Around July and August every year, there is often a lot of rain and storms. The last months of the year such as September and October are the time of heavy rain and dense fog.
According to experience, the best time to travel to Cat Hai is from February to June. At this time, the air is very pleasant, the sunlight is not too strong and there is no rain or fog, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities. If you want to take pictures, you should come around dawn and dusk during the day.
How to get there To get to Cat Hai Island, you first need to travel to Hai Phong city. You can choose from many means of transport: plane, train or car,… depending on your departure point. If you use a bus from Hanoi, you can go to Giap Bat or Nuoc Ngam bus station to buy a ticket, the travel time is about more than 1 hour. When you set foot here, you will experience a large open space with a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. This is a place where the blue of the sky and the ocean blend together, the gentle sound of the waves seems to bring visitors into a very peaceful and quiet space.
When the tide recedes, Cat Hai island appears very special and impressive beauty. The perfect combination of sea, sky and the last rays of sunlight of the day. That beautiful scene, perhaps taking a few check-in photos is still not enough to describe all that you see right before your eyes.
Take photos at the famous breakwater When visiting Cat Hai Island, the breakwater is a stop not to be missed. This is a 2,500m long dike, built to prevent seawater from flooding Lach Huyen estuary and help ships enter and exit the port more conveniently. With its unique architecture, the breakwater on Cat Hai Island is increasingly becoming a favorite destination for those who love to explore and check-in in this port town.
Visit spiritual tourist attractions There are many architectural works reflecting the cultural diversity here. In particular, the communal houses, pagodas, temples, shrines here were built hundreds of years ago. Among them, Hoa Hy Pagoda (Kim Lien Tu) from 1625 and Don Luong Communal House built from the Later Le Dynasty (1663) are ancient relics that you must definitely visit.
These architectural works are also the place where many cultural and religious activities typical of the island take place. If you come here in January, you have the opportunity to participate in special festivals such as: Horse-pulling festival, Rowing festival,… with many interesting activities. Contributing to creating more attractiveness for tourism of this island with visitors from everywhere.
What to eat when traveling to Cat Hai island? When coming here, people always look forward to enjoying local cuisine. In addition to the beautiful scenery, the following specialties of this island will also make you so fascinated that you "forget the way home":
Crab spring rolls: This is a famous specialty of Hai Phong city and is one of the dishes not to be missed when traveling to Cat Hai. To make a delicious spring roll, the crab must be fresh crab caught from the sea of Cat Hai, Do Son or Bach Long Vi. Fresh crab combined with pork, wood ear, carrots, bean sprouts, … creates a rich and delicious flavor that is hard to resist.
Cat Hai lobster: Also known as dragon lobster, a seafood with high nutritional value. The lobster meat is rich, fatty and rich in protein, and can be processed into many delicious dishes. When you come here, you cannot miss the opportunity to enjoy unique dishes such as: lobster rolled with raw vegetables, lobster stewed with shiitake mushrooms, lobster stir-fried with lemongrass and chili, grilled lobster with scallion oil, or delicious lobster with egg sauce,…
Sleeping in Cat Hai island People often choose to stay at motels and hotels in the district center when coming to the island. Accommodation in Cat Hai district is very suitable for tourists to visit many nearby places such as Cat Ba island, Lan Ha bay. Traveling to Cat Hai island, below is a list of quality hotels you can consider:
Cat Ba Eco Lodge Address: Xuan Dam, Cat Hai district, Hai Phong. Price from: 1,000,000 VND/night.
Sea Pearl Cat Ba Hotel Address: 219 1/4 Street, Cat Ba Town, Cat Hai, Hai Phong. Price from: 2,000,000 VND/night.
Some notes when traveling to Cat Hai island
To ensure safety, everyone should avoid going to the island at high tide. At this time, most of the breakwater will be submerged in water, the remaining part will be wet and covered with moss, making it very slippery and easy to fall.
The road to the island is also quite small, only enough space for 1-2 motorbikes, so walking will be much more convenient.
Although not as famous as Cat Ba, Cat Hai Island still deserves a place in your travel notebook if you have the opportunity to visit Hai Phong. Hopefully, the experience of traveling to Cat Hai Island shared above will be really useful for you on your upcoming trip.

Thousand-year-old ancient village bears the mark of Northern Vietnam
Vietnam Impressive Travel - Possessing a peaceful space with a stone bridge across a poetic river, hundreds of years old houses, village ponds, wells…, Dich Diep ancient village (Nam Dinh) has the ancient beauty of a Northern Vietnam's Red river delta village.
Tumblr media
Located about 110 km from Hanoi and more than 20 km from Nam Dinh city center, Dich Diep village (in Truc Chinh commune, Truc Ninh district) is one of the ancient villages in the northern Vietnam.
According to local people, Dich Diep village was formed around the beginning of the 11th century, with the original name of Dich Diep Trang.
This place still retains the ancient beauty of a traditional Vietnamese village with banyan trees, temples, pagodas, water wells… becoming a "healing" destination for tourists looking for a peaceful place.
The village still preserves 6 ancient house gates, 1 ancient village gate, 2 wooden houses (1 house over 100 years old and 1 house over 200 years old with roof tiles), 1 rolling bridge across the river and 3 water wells at the end of the village.
Among them, the most noticeable place in Dich Diep village, attracting the attention of tourists when coming here, is the southern gate, connected to the stone arch bridge built in 1864.
When walking in the village, visitors will also encounter ancient gates, mainly built in the style of parabolic arches, with soft, curving designs.
The gate roof is tiled, connected to the gate arch by two vertical pillars, elaborately carved. The gate surface is also elaborately decorated, with embossed characters expressing the homeowner's motto or character.
Depending on the location, terrain, and conditions of each house, the gate arch has different scales and grandeur.
Another interesting thing is that in Dich Diep village there is a "green treasure" that is over 900 years old. It is an ancient Bodhi tree that is over 20m high, with a trunk that is so "huge" that it takes about 5 adults to hug it. Around the tree trunk are large roots about 40cm long, growing long and clinging tightly to the ground.
With its historical values, in April 2021, the ancient Bodhi tree in Dich Diep village was officially recognized as a Vietnamese heritage tree by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.

For the first time in Hanoi, the entire event space will be set up like a film studio with the background of a real neighborhood, with tram cars, department stores… helping visitors to return to the memories of one of the special periods of the country.
Coming to the event, visitors will visit and experience the “Hanoi Street Museum” with unique art activities, enjoy rich cuisine and stories of Hanoi; enjoy the vibrant, bustling atmosphere of the performances. In addition, with the romantic and poetic scenery of Truc Bach Lake, the event will create an ideal relaxing space for visitors to immerse themselves and admire the beauty of the natural landscape.

With this event, the Organizing Committee hopes to attract more and more tourists to Hanoi, actively contributing to the overall tourism development of Vietnam and contributing to the socio-economic development of the capital city.

Mang Den - Peaceful place of the Central Highlands
Ethnic Travel - Emerging as an attractive tourist destination, Mang Den is considered a miniature Da Lat in the North Central Highlands with its climate, indigenous culture, cuisine and many unique natural features. However, the lesson of Da Lat urbanization and transformation is the problem to keep Mang Den intact with its inherent appeal.
Tumblr media
Immensely chilly, lingering in the morning and evening mist, endless cherry blossoms, babbling waterfalls and the sound of drums and gongs… Mang Den gently welcomes visitors all four seasons like that. In recent years, Mang Den (Kon Plong district, Kon Tum ) has emerged on the Vietnamese tourism map and is sought after by many people because of its intact climate, indigenous culture, cuisine and many unique natural features.
Mang Den night is cool at about 15 - 18 degrees Celsius at an altitude of 1,200m above sea level. Not having the hustle and bustle of large tourist areas, Mang Den stands out with its pristine beauty, cool climate and strange peace. Here there are poetic natural paintings with primeval forests, clear lakes… forests cover up to 83% of the area. And the 5-needle pine species typical of the highlands still covers the forests here, so people consider Mang Den the second Da Lat of the Central Highlands .
Many people were surprised by the beauty of Mang Den as if it were a recreation of Da Lat several decades ago, not too crowded, not too noisy, the beautiful green pine forests, along with Pa Sy Waterfall, 36-household area, Dak Ke lake, Wooden sculpture garden, Mang Den market, Mang Den Art garden, Kon Pring community tourism village… all were built to make everyone amazed.
Endowed with natural landscapes, indigenous culture, cuisine and many unique features that are rare elsewhere, Mang Den is like a princess who has just woken up to become the driving force for Kon Tum's smokeless economic development. Visitors to Mang Den not only find peace in the midst of nature but also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the lives of indigenous people. This is an advantage that few places in Vietnam can match, a place that still retains the wildness of nature but is still close enough to connect with major cities.

Discover the beauty of Gia Lai stone plate stream
Asiatica Travel - Stone stream of Van village in Gia Lai is an ancient rock rapids millions of years old, located on both sides of a babbling stream. The stone pillars at Van village have a unique shape, hexagonal shapes stacked on top of each other stretching about 1km. Surrounding the ancient rock rapids and stone stream are vast green natural landscapes, majestic and magnificent mountains, creating a beautiful and rare natural scene.
Tumblr media
The ancient rock stream at Van village is one of the unique and rare geological heritages of the Central Highlands in general and Gia Lai province in particular. Currently, the ancient rock fields in Gia Lai are becoming famous tourist destinations. The ancient rock stream of Van village is listed on the Gia Lai tourism map, along with famous destinations that need to be preserved in the province such as: Chu Dang Ya volcano, To Nung Lake, hundred-year-old pine trees from the French period…
How to get there The ancient rock field runs along both sides of the stream, located in Van village, Ialy town, Chu Pah district, Gia Lai province and about 45km from Pleiku city center .
From Pleiku city, you go straight along Highway 14 towards Kon Tum for about 16km => turn left onto Tl 673 (the road to Ialy hydroelectric plant) for about 20km => then turn right and continue for about 2.5km to Van village. From Van village, you can still continue by motorbike or car for another 2km to reach a coffee plantation. Here you have to walk along a trail along the stream for about 500m to reach the rock field with the poetic stream of Van village.
The route to explore the stone stream is pretty long, crossing a small trail is a bit difficult, but when you see the amazing natural scenery of the stream and the beautiful natural stone blocks, you will feel it is worth it. According to the locals, the stream has many names in the language of the Jrai people (Ruai, Jrai Pha, …). This stream flows between the territory of Ia Phi commune and Ia Ly town, flows through many Jrai villages and then flows into the reservoir of the Ia Ly hydroelectric plant. In particular, the section passing through Van village (Plei Van) suddenly appears an ancient stone field, strangely shaped, stretching for kilometers …
The ancient stone field of Van village has many exposed sections, notably two very beautiful sections only a few dozen meters apart. In these sections, next to the stream, the large hexagonal stone pillars seem to have been arranged by some miracle, lying next to each other, flat and majestic as if "challenging" the power of time.
There are hundreds of such stone pillars arranged in a field stretching for kilometers, from which this stream is also called Da Dia stream (with ancient beauty similar to Ghenh Da Dia - a special national monument in Phu Yen). According to research by geologists, this ancient rock formation has existed for over 100 million years!!!
Seen from above, the rocky cliffs look like giant, unique honeycombs. Between the two rocky banks is a babbling stream, weaving through the crevices of the rocks, creating white foaming waves.
Ancient rock field and stone plate stream of Van village have extremely wild and rustic scenery, surrounded by immense mountains and forests, the sound of flowing streams, chirping birds… Feeling the scent of the forest, the mountain wind mixed with the fresh air of the stream, you will never forget.
Whenever asked about the ancient rock rapids or the stone plate stream, the eyes of the people of Van village shine with pride for their homeland, it is a gift that Yang (Giang, meaning heaven) has given them. All activities in their lives are close to the stone stream: drinking water, fishing, bathing in the stream, games during holidays and Tet. They hope that the beautiful scenery of their homeland will always be preserved and protected forever for future generations.
The stone stream in Van village, Chu Pah district, along with the ancient stone field in Don Hyang village, Mang Yang district, and Ong stone mountain in Hra village, Kong Chro district, all belong to Gia Lai province, and are all special and rare geological heritages of the Central Highlands region. Not only that, the ancient stone fields are also places of wild beauty and undiscovered tourism potential.
