the pair are in the lab, working on separate parts of the same device. viktor reached for the tool he needs, but finds it absent. he huffs a little, glancing around through his goggles from where he sits. he notices another one a moment later. "jayce," he starts, returning his attention to the work in front of him. "could you pass me the wrench? i seem to ha—" he pauses, an abrupt yawn catching up to him. he clears his throat before continuing, "i seem to have misplaced the one i was using."

viktor knows she's here before she even passes through the gate, thanks to the follower he has posted there. in a swift motion, he takes over the other man's mind to say, "enforcer, you may come in. i will meet you in a moment." after releasing his grasp on him, viktor makes for the direction of the entrance to meet the other halfway. when he approaches her, he meets her eyes with a calm albeit mildly curious expression. "hello. what brings you here today?" he asks with a slight tilt of the head.
