This is also why I think Medic x Spy is fucking hilarious bc like

Imagine being Scout, not only is:

-Your mom your number one, your best friend, and you love her to death

-Spy the colleague who you had the hardest getting along with, but you managed!! You got somewhere!!

-Spy revealed to be your fucking father. Spy, the pompous, stinky, uptight, buzzkill that you just found common ground with is your goddamn dad

-Spy decides instead of the perfect, passionate, wonderful woman your mom is, he wants someone else

-That person is soon revealed to be Medic.

-Medic,, the scariest bitch you’ve ever met,, his introduction was asking how healthy your liver was,, he let Archimedes camp inside your chest cavity,, Medic is just completely unhinged in your eyes and yet Spy,, fucking Spy, with all his flaws, is actually a pretty smart guy and he’s fairly competent and yet he chooses fuckin Medic????

-Much to your damn chagrin, Spy pursues Medic and you watch in real time as your dad scores the scariest mother fucker you’ve ever had the “luck” to meet and you slowly realize ‘Would this make Medic your dad?’

i don’t care abt ships but i think shipping tf2 spy with any of the other mercs is objectively funny bc like. imagine being scout and already having to deal with the fact that this french asshole is maybe your actual absentee dad only to find out he also ditched your mom to bang one of your sweaty coworkers.
