First time posting in awhile but after the Fam threw around some ideas and @aherdofbees quickly came up with this masterpiece I got the sudden itch to write again. This is just a little Drabble but I promise there will be more to come. Happy hot Jeb summer y’all!

It was of no coincidence that Jeb found himself tending to the shady area in the corner of his backyard where grass grew sparsely and there were more weeds than plants. He knew nothing would grow in that spot, after all he’d tried every recommended grass fertilizer and plant claimed to do well in shade. Though it appeared Jeb had hopes of achieving a complete, lush green backyard, It was the angelic voices that rose with laughter and hinted at mischievous fun that got his attention.

As if the stray water balloon that curiously missed its intended target, landing across his shoulder with a loud splat didn’t get his attention first.
