PERSUASION I HERO FT FANFIC
CHAPTER 19 & 20
WC: 1,822
Jessica pov
Once I make it to the sidewalk, I text Alex. He opens the door, and before he can speak, I say, "Can we just go, please?”
He nods, "Let me pay."
Out of habit, I look to see if I can see Hero, but he's gone.
"I got new food for you," Alex says, walking out.
"Thank you, and you didn't have to do that, though," my voice breaks, and I look away.
"It was nothing, and Jess, don't cry; he's not worth it."
"You don't even know him," resentment fills my voice. I don't know who I'm more upset with, Alex, Hero, or myself.
"I know he's making you cry, and you don't deserve that."
"What is it with you today?" I ask him, confused, "First, you start shit with him, then you encourage me to fix it, and now 'he's not worth it.' It's starting to give me whiplash, so make up your mind!" I huff.
"I just-" he looks at me, then with a deep sigh says, "Never mind," walking away and heading towards the car. I shake my head, following behind him.
Alex has always been easy-going and understanding, but today it's like I'm looking at a completely different person.
****
"Do you want me to come in?"
"I just want to be alone."
I start to turn around but stop when he says, "You're hoping he'll still show up, aren't you?"
"Goodnight, Alex," I say with an eye roll.
"Why are you mad at me? I didn't let you down; he did," he says, clearly annoyed.
"You shouldn't have said all that shit, though, and that's why I'm mad. You two acted like I was some shiny new toy, and I'm not."
"So you're going to throw away our friendship for him? Welcome him back after he thinks you'd mess around on him after one disagreement?" He asks coldly and runs his hands through his hair, "That's not the Jessica I know."
"I'm not throwing our friendship away. We'll always be best friends no matter how difficult you're being or not, and you know that. I don't even understand why you're being this way. Since when did you become so uncertain of this friendship?" I ask, trying not to sound as frustrated as I am.
"I just don't want things to change," he says softly.
"I don't intend on anything changing. You know I'm not that type of person, but yes, I do hope he comes back. I like him, maybe more than I'm ready to admit to myself, but that doesn't mean I will forget everything he said, which is why we need to talk about things before he leaves tomorrow. I can't make you accept him, but as a best friend, you could at least try to support me," I go and hug him. "Thanks for dinner; everything's going to be okay. We're okay. I'll text you, alright?" He nods, and I head to the door before he can say anything else. I go into the living room where Kristen is sitting.
"Hey," I say, quickly heading toward my room. I don't feel like talking.
"Jess wait a minute," she stops me.
"What? Today has been so long I want to go to my room," I groan.
"Yeah, about that," she pauses, then continues, "Hero is in your room," she whispers.
I look at my room door, noticing the light is on. I groan again, I mean, I'm glad he's here, but I'm tired of arguing with everyone.
"How long?"
"About fifteen minutes, he just walked in and said, 'I'll be in her room."
"I can tell him to leave if you want."
"No, that's okay; I guess it's now or never," I feel the pit in my stomach starting to grow as I head towards the door again, taking a deep breath, then opening it.
Hero pov
Jess comes into her room. "I'm sorry," I blurt out. "I should've called, and I should've talked to you when you called. The guys were just on my ass to stay, so I did. I didn't want to hear the disappointment in your voice, even though you would have said it's fine and that you understood."
She moves towards her closet, which is the farthest from her bed and from where I'm sitting. I can't stand her not wanting to be close to me, she's only a few feet from me, but it feels like fifty. I know I could get up, but the last time I tried to touch her, she told me not to.
"Can you please come closer" I inquire, looking at my hands. I'm afraid of what she might say and the expression on her face. I wouldn't blame her if she just told me to leave.
"If this is too much for you, I understand. I don't want to get in your way. Or be the reason why you don't see your friends. You already don't see them because of work, and maybe we should stop this. Before it begins," her voice is so haunted, she almost doesn't sound like herself.
I look at her, and the expression on her face is worse than what I could have ever experienced. She doesn't look defeated; she doesn't even look hurt anymore; she just looks like she expected this.
I shouldn't have treated her that way back in the parking lot. How could I be so foolish? To think that just because I wouldn't have sex right away, she would go off and find it from someone else? Even worse, how could I not believe her? Once she explained it to me? I know her better than that; she values herself more than that.
I stand up, gathering courage, and I walk over to her. Taking the chance that she doesn't push me away. I bend down, making eye contact with her, as I start to pull her shoes off, then pick her up.
I'm surprised but also relieved when she wraps her arms around my neck, followed by her legs around my waist, and buries her face in my neck. As I sit back down on the bed, just sitting like this having her close to me, I already feel less anxious.
"I'm sorry too, and I should've texted you back instead of ignoring you." She states as she looks at me, her eyes are a dull shade of green. And something inside of me tells me that she needs a little more reassurance from me.
"I want to be with you like this, and it's not too much. It's just new to me, and the thought of another guy seeing your body that way. It honestly drives me nuts; however, I understand Kristen isn't always going to be around. I shouldn't have let him get to me like that, and I definitely shouldn't have treated you that way after you explained it. I'm sorry I made you feel like you had to doubt me, doubt us." I kiss her softly. "Can I stay with you tonight, please?" I ask, pressing my forehead against hers.
"Yes, can you go get Kristen so I can change?"
"Can I help you instead?" she pulls back slightly, then looks down at me.
"Hero, you don't—" I cut her off
"I want to," I say, trying to convince her
"If you're doing it because of Alex—" she starts cautiously.
I lift her chin. "I want to show you it's not an issue; I want to learn in what ways you need help. So when I am here, I can take care of you, but if you're more comfortable with Kristen helping you, I understand."
Her eyes search mine for uncertainty, and when she doesn't find any, she relaxes a little pulling her shirt off.
My eyes fall on her nude, slightly see-through bra, with green vine-like material running over where her nipples are, so you don't see them.
I bite my lip, glancing at how her breasts fill her bra as she moves her hair. So it's over her right shoulder, and I run my hands up her back. Causing her eyes to spark at my touch against her bare skin. As I unhook her bra, I pull my shirt off, placing it over her head. She removes her bra, letting it fall to the floor, then puts her arms in, pulling the rest of it down.
As I pick her up again, she kisses me slipping her tongue into my mouth. Her hand finds its way to my hat, tossing it as I lay her down on the bed.
"Did I say you could touch that?" I whisper teasingly.
"Did I ask?" She looks up at me as if to say what are you going to do about it?
Damn this girl and her mouth, I'm used to girls just telling me what I want to hear. Or just being too overly aggressive sexually but not Jess.
I kiss her chin softly, moving down to her neck, lightly kissing and sucking. A moan softly coming from her lips. As I move down her body, reaching her pants, I unbutton them, pulling them from her body.
Her panties match the green in her bra, and It takes everything in me not to rip them off of her just to see what she tastes like. Looking at her lying there, she's beautiful! Curves in all right places. I move back up her body, kissing her again, then standing up. I kick my shoes off and remove my pants. Jess rolls over to her side, propping herself up with her elbow watching me.
"I could get used to seeing that!" She smiles and looks me up and down, causing me to blush.
"I'm sure you have seen me like this way before today or yesterday," I smirk
"I prefer in person more, do your runway walk," she grins.
I shake my head, laughing
"Please," she pouts
"Damnit, Jess, not the pout!" She repeats her actions and then smiles.
Stepping back a few steps, I start walking towards her when I reach the bed. I make a funny face causing her to giggle.
"I could get used to seeing you in my shirts," I say, getting in her bed and pulling her to my chest. I turn Netflix on finding Supernatural.
"Can we watch something else?" she says quickly
"But it's your favorite!" she shrugs
"I'm just not in the mood."
"Not even for dog Dean afternoon?" Her grip slightly tightens around me.
Then it hits me; that's where I know Alex from! He's the angel kid from supernatural, and I look down at Jess; her eyes are focused on the tv.
"Did something happen between you two?"
"I don't want to talk about it. I'd rather enjoy the time we have left together" she looks up at me.
"Okay," I kiss her forehead, not pushing the subject.

PERSUASION I HERO FT FANFIC
CHAPTER 17 & 18
WC: 1,692
Hero pov
Why won't she answer me? I understand she's upset, but today is my last day here, and I want to spend it with her, not fighting with her. I want to hear her laugh, that laugh I love so much with that smile and those dimples.
People talk about my dimples, but they're nothing compared to hers. Hers are especially beautiful because they only show when she's at her happiest. I look at my phone with the pictures of us I took yesterday. I am going to miss her.
I try calling her again, and it goes straight to voicemail. It's now 4. Fuck it; I'm just going to go over there. The worst she can do is tell me to leave when I get there, Kristen answers.
"She's not here, but you can come in and wait" I give her a confused look.
"Where is she?"
"She's with Alex" she looks down at her phone and then back at me.
"Alex?? You just let her go off with some guy???" my voice raises slightly.
"Calm down there, London. One, she's an adult, two, I wasn't here and three, Alex can take care of her. He's known her for two years; she's perfectly safe. Are you coming in?"
She moves out of the doorway and then continues, "I thought you were spending the night?" she asks, looking back at me as I close the door. She heads into the kitchen as I follow her, sitting on one of the stools at the bar top.
"Yeah, I kind of messed that up," I rub my neck quickly, changing the subject, "about this Alex guy...." I try not to sound so obvious, but I fail.
"They're just friends, Hero," she reassures me.
As soon as she says that, my phone goes off. I grab it from my pocket, hoping it's Jess; it is but not in the way I was expecting. She's updated her Instagram story.
I tap it, and a picture of Alex comes up with the caption, "having lunch with this guy at Panera 🙂" I stand up, heading towards the door.
"Hero, I wouldn't," Kristen says.
"You said they're just friends, right?" I stop looking at her.
"Yeah"
"Then it shouldn't be a problem," I say, closing the door behind me.
The whole time I'm driving there, I keep thinking I've seen this Alex guy somewhere, but I can't figure out where. I arrive and take a deep breath while getting out of the car, then make my way in.
"So, are you doing the con this year?" I hear Jess's voice say as I approach the table.
Jessica pov
"Um, Jess....." Alex's voice sounds hesitant.
"What? Are you not going?" I look up from my sandwich then, out of the corner of my eye, I see someone sit down.
"Can we talk, please?" Hero says quietly, pleading.
"No, we can't," I reply, keeping my eyes on my food. I can't look into those beautiful emerald eyes.
"It's my last day," I can hear the hurt in his voice, and before I realize what I'm saying, it's too late, and I've already said it.
"Then I guess you better go. You wouldn't want to spend it with some chick," the words fall from my lips like daggers.
This is exactly what I didn't want, me saying hurtful things. But it's what I do when I'm hurt or scared, and right now, I'm both.
I hear him adjust like he's turning to face me. "You know it's not like that." I shrug, not wanting to say anything else I might regret. "Baby, please just let me explain," he pleads again.
"Look, man, I don't know who you are, but you're upsetting my girl, so just leave," Alex says to Hero as if challenging him to do anything but that, which honestly is the last thing I need.
"Your girl?" Hero questions angrily.
"That's what I said," a smirk comes across Alex's face.
Hero snickers. "She didn't seem to be thinking of you yesterday when she was kissing me."
I know what Alex will say next, "Alex, don't," I try to warn him, but he doesn't listen; he doesn't even acknowledge me.
"Well, she wasn't thinking of you when I helped her get dressed this afternoon."
My eyes close as I hear the words. They're almost painful just because I know what he will think even though he shouldn't.
Hero's voice breaks, "Jess, why? I thought—" I glare at Alex, then look at Hero, who quickly gets up to leave.
"Aren't you going to go after him?" Alex asks me, a little surprised.
"No, he should know I wouldn't do that to him. Even if you were a total dick and should have never said any of that in the first place."
I push my mac and cheese around. How could he think I would do that to him? He knows I don't throw sex around. Yes, we haven't been around each other much, but we've had a serious talk about it.
"I think you should go...after him, I mean," I give Alex a perplexed look; what? He's the reason why Hero left in the first place.
"It's pretty clear I don't care for him, and honestly, I think you can do much better, but it's bothering you," he pauses, taking a breath, then says, "if I were him, I'd want you to come after me."
"He probably already left." I shrug, putting my fork down.
"No, he hasn't," he points, and I look behind me to see Hero sitting two tables back.
"Come on, Jess, you wanted him here. You took that picture of me and posted it so he'd come and find you."
"I wasn't sure," I say softly.
"But you were hoping, so don't you think you're being a little unfair?" he asks, taking a sip of his drink, "plus, if you don't, he's just going to keep sitting there looking like a sad puppy," he says sarcastically.
"You're not funny."
"I am just a little bit," he smirks, then adds, "but you know I'm right."
I roll my eyes because as much as I hate to admit it, he is right; we do need to at least try to talk. I take a deep breath and then head toward Hero's table.
"Can we go outside and talk?"
He gets up, walking towards the door, holding it open so I can go through. I follow him to his car, where he turns around, leaning against it.
He pulls out a cigarette, lights it, exhales, and says, "I thought you were just friends with him?" His voice resembles mine from just a few minutes earlier.
"We are; it's not like what it sounded," I say defensively.
"Sounded pretty clear to me," he says, taking another pull off of his cigarette.
He can't be serious right now. How did all of this get so out of control? He's being so ridiculous, they both are, and honestly, it's starting to piss me off.
"He was helping me because Kristen wasn't there. He's done it before, so I didn't think it would be a big deal," I shrug.
"And yet you didn't want him to tell me," he looks down at his feet and then backs up at me almost as if to say, "you can stop lying."
I throw my hands up in defeat, "Dammit, Hero, you act like just because he saw me in my bra and panties, I would let him fuck me right there on the bathroom sink. I needed help, that's all it was, and honestly, I shouldn't be defending myself right now because I think I've made it pretty clear how I feel about you."
"Have you? I wouldn't know; you hardly tell me how you feel, Jessica. All I know is you wanted to have sex, and I wanted to wait, then he shows up but excuse me for being respectful and caring about you!" He puts his cigarette out and then continues, "I know you're upset with me, but I would never have thought you would do that. Just because I wanted to wait and I didn't show up," his hands are balled into fists, and I can see his veins pulsing in his arms more than usual.
I pause, taking a breath, so I don't scream at him.
"So that's what you think of me? You want to talk about being respectful? This whole fucking thing was your idea, and if you wanted to spend time with your friends instead, that's fine! I'm not the type that needs your attention 24/7. All I wanted was for you to let me know! Instead, I stayed up till 3 am, and I called you, and all you could say was "can you tell her I'll call her back?'"
I didn't want to cry, but tears filled my eyes. "And now you think I would just go and have sex with Alex just because you wanted to wait or didn't show up, even though I told you differently!"
Hero looks as though the wind has been knocked out of him. He reaches out to touch me.
"Don't," I warn him blinking, then quickly wipe my eyes.
I hear a group of girls, their voices extremely excited and sound like they're coming this way. "Talk about bad timing," I mumble to myself.
Don't get me wrong; I love Hero's fans; hell, I'm a fan, but sometimes they show up in the most awkward times, like when you're arguing in a parking lot.
"Excuse me, can we get a picture with you?" one of the girls asks.
"Actually, guys, I was just..."
I stop him. "He's all yours, girls," I smile at them, then turn around, leaving.
I know Hero won't follow me. He likes to keep his personal life private, which I couldn't respect more, but a part of me wants to look back, hoping that he's watching me leave. But I don't.

PERSUASION I HERO FT FANFIC
CHAPTER 15 & 16
WC: 1,741
Jessica pov
On the way to the docks, Hero gets a text from Evan.
"What's it say?" I ask him.
"He wants to go clubbing tonight."
"Do you wanna go?"
I know the answer already, but we have one more day after this, so maybe he'll spend it with me.
"Jess, did you hear me?"
"No, sorry," I look over at him.
"Do you want me to go?"
If I say no, he'll stay, so I say, "I think you should go," and smile.
"You could come," he offers.
"Thanks, but no thanks, clubs aren't my thing" I look out the window.
"Can we compromise?" I look back at him, smiling at the fact that he remembered what I said at the art show.
"Let's hear it."
"I can come back after and spend the rest of the night with you; we could watch a movie or watch Supernatural?" He says, his voice smooth as a smirk comes across his lips. I raise an eyebrow.
"You don't even like Supernatural," I say, and he shrugs.
"But you do" he kisses the top of my hand, and his eyes have turned a darker shade of green.
"You have got to stop looking at me like that" I shift in my seat, causing him to laugh.
"Shut up, Tiffin"
"I'll take that as a yes," he smiles.
****
While we're on the boat, I snap some pictures of Hero.
"Don't you have enough pictures of me?" he asks, smiling.
"Nope," I snap one more.
"Okay, my turn" he gets up, sitting behind me.
"No," I cover my face.
"Come on baby, just one," he says, placing his head on my shoulder; I lean into him as he raises my phone.
"Smile!"
He smiles, which makes me smile as he snaps the picture, followed by him kissing me on the cheek. It makes me blush and look down, so he quickly takes another.
"Hey!" I laugh.
"Thats my new lock screen," he says, sending the pictures to himself.
"You better be glad I like you," I say sarcastically. He wraps his arms around me.
"I am."
"Thank you," I say softly.
"For what?" he asks, a little confused.
"Today," I lean into him more.
"See, I told you it would be fun" he holds me tighter.
"Fine, you were right," I admit rolling my eyes sarcastically, and he laughs.
I look out into the water then it hits me, and I realize how much I will miss him once he's gone.
****
"I guess I'm gonna go on and go," Hero says once we get back to Stella's.
"Okay, just text me when you're on your way back," I say, giving him a quick kiss.
"Okay," he hugs me before heading through the gate and leaving.
We stay for a couple more hours, then leave around 11 pm. I'm not sure when Hero and his friends were leaving to go to the club, so I don't expect to hear anything till at least 1 or 2 am. When we get home, I decide to go and get in my pajamas and listen to music.
"Hey, Jess?" Kristen pops her head into my room.
"Yeah?" I say, turning the music down.
"I'm going to bed, so just tell Hero where the spare key is."
"Okay"
"Don't be waking me up when you guys decide to have sex," she laughs, and I roll my eyes.
"Goodnight," I switch the music to my AirPods
"That's what you'll be having once he gets here," she says, closing the door.
****
It's now 3 am, and I still haven't heard from Hero.
"Jessica, just call him," I mumble to myself.
I hit call, maybe he fell asleep or something it rings a few times then someone picks up, but I don't recognize the voice.
"Hello"
"Um, hi. Is Hero there?"
"Yeah, hold on."
"Hey man, your cell was ringing, so I picked it up."
"Who is it?" I hear Hero say on the other end.
"I don't know some chick."
"Can you tell her I'll call her back?"
My heart sinks not because of what he said or because he's still with his friends. I don't expect all of his friends to know about me; it's not like we're committed. I'm not even big on titles myself, but it does hurt because, one, this was his idea, and two, it takes three minutes to call and let me know he's not coming.
I don't even wait on a response. I hit end and turn my phone off quickly, setting it on the table. I decide to try and get some sleep, but I can't help but think about how I was stupid enough to believe this would work.
I woke up the following day to someone coming into my room.
"Wake up, princess," he says happily.
"Ugh, what are you doing here?" I put the pillow over my face.
"Oh hey, Alex, how are you? I missed you too," he says while sitting down and then moving the pillow from my face.
"Sorry I didn't have the best night. You normally call first. And stop calling me princess" I rub my eyes.
"I did. Your phone was off."
"What time is it?" I ask.
"Two"
I wonder if Hero has tried to call? Even if he has, I'm not ready to talk to him. Even if it's his last full day before he returns, I can't believe I slept so late; why didn't Kristen wake me up? Then I remember she doesn't know that Hero didn't show up last night.
"Earth to Jessica," Alex says, waving his hand in front of my face; I blink, looking up at him. "You won't believe what I have to show you," he smiles.
"Okay, can you get Kristen so I can change?" I ask, still trying to wake up and wrap my head around everything.
"She's not here, but I can help you. It's not like I haven't before," he says, hopeful that I'll let him.
"Did she leave a note?" I say, taking my pillow back.
"I didn't see one; she probably thought she'd be back before you woke up." He shrugs and then says, "come on, let's just go," as he pulls my covers off.
"Fine, but only because I don't know when she's coming back."
****
"Come on, let's go!" he says, running to the door and opening it.
"I'm coming, dude chill!"
"Kick that thing into overdrive!" he says impatiently.
I roll my eyes when I get to the door, then head outside.
"Nice! Is it yours?" I move closer, looking at the White Jaguar sitting in the driveway. I'm a little bit shocked. Alex doesn't seem like the Jaguar type.
"For the weekend. Want to go for a ride?" He shakes the car keys smiling. I look at the car, feeling uneasy.
"Come on; we can go for a ride, then we can come back for the van and go get dinner. Please?" He gives me a sad puppy dog look with his ocean-blue eyes.
"Shit, fine" he smiles so big it almost makes my mouth hurt just by looking at him.
He walks over, opens the door, and I position my chair so he can transfer me into the car. He puts my chair in the house, locks the door then gets in the car.
"You ready?" he asks, looking over at me and starting the car.
"Yes." He pulls out of the driveway and speeds up, making me laugh. "Dude, last time I checked, this is not the Fast And Furious!" I look over at him, and he looks like a kid in a candy store.
"Best weekend ever!!" He yells, taking another turn, and I laugh again at how happy and carefree he is.
It reminds me of how I feel whenever I'm with Hero. I look out the window, wondering what he's doing and if he's even thinking about me.
Alex does one more lap and then heads back. I leave Kristen a note, and Alex puts the Jaguar in the garage.
"So where do you want to go?" he asks, getting in the driver's seat, "wait, let me guess, Panera?" I smile.
"So, can you tell me any spoilers?" I ask him on the way there, "oh, come on; I won't tell anyone" he shrugs.
"You know I can't, Jess," he says, then smiles.
"So much for being your best friend. It gets me nowhere!" I pout as he pulls into the parking lot, laughing.
"It's not funny. I need to know if Jack is coming back. I miss him," I pout again.
"I'm right here," he smiles.
"Jack is better," I joke.
"Gee, thanks, Jess," he says, pretending to look hurt.
"You're welcome," I laugh. "How's Jared, Jensen, and Misha?" I ask as he opens the door.
"They're good. They told me to tell you hi," he answers as he puts down the ramp for me to get out.
"Is Jared still pranking you?"
"God, yes! I have to admit that I'm going to miss that" he pushes the ramp back up, closing the door and locking the car.
"Yeah, I still can't believe the show is ending," I say sadly.
"Yeah, I know how much the show means to you" he goes to hug me, and I pull back.
"Please don't."
I know if Alex hugs me, I'll cry not only because of the show ending but because of Hero, and I just can't right now.
"No crying, got it," he says, and we head towards the restaurant; I have to admit he knows me almost as well as Kristen does, and I have missed him.
We order our food, then sit down and wait. I turn on my phone in case Kristen is back and tries to call me, and as soon as I do, my notifications start popping up. Messages from Hero.
Hey, are you awake yet?
I'm sorry about last night
Call me, please.
I get that you're upset with me but please call me
Jess, I'm sorry. Can you please talk to me.
Jessica, I can't fix this if you won't talk to me.
I close out my messages and open ig instead. "Hey, Alex, smile!" He does, and I snap the picture putting it in my ig story, then hit the close friends button.

PERSUASION I HERO FT FANFIC
CHAPTER 13 & 14
WC: 940
Jessica pov
We get to Stella's house, and I text Hero Stella's address. He replies with, 'be there in fifteen.'
"Hey, Jess! Nice suit," Stella says.
"Thanks," I say nervously.
"I can't wait to see Hero's reaction," Kristen says excitedly.
"Can you chill, please" I snap at her and play with my fingers. I feel like I'm going to throw up or something I'm totally out of my element here. I don't even know why I agreed to this. "I'm sorry" I take a deep breath pulling at my braided hair.
"You'll thank me later, trust me," Kristen smiles. The doorbell rings and Stella gets up to get it.
"Hey Hero, I'm Stella"
"Hey, didn't you do work for Dolce and Gabbana too?" I hear Hero's voice say, and my stomach jumps slightly.
"Let the fun begin," Kristen nudges me.
"Yeah, I wasn't sure if you would know me since we haven't worked together," Stella says, coming back through the gate.
I know that Hero is close behind her, so I quickly look down, afraid of his reaction.
"I have heard of..." Hero's sentence stops making me look up; he's biting his lip.
"Hey, Hero, stop drooling on yourself," Kristen jokes, making him blush. He swallows, walking over to me, wearing black swim trunks and sunglasses.
"Too much?" I ask.
"No, I mean...damn, you look..." he licks his lips.
"You don't look too bad yourself I smile.
"Thanks, so you ready to get in?" He smiles.
"I'm good here; you don't want me hanging all over you, so go swim; I'll watch."
"No," he says, bending down.
"What?" I gape
"Well, you can either wrap your legs around me, or we can do this with you over my shoulder; either way, you're getting in," he smirks. I raise an eyebrow, slightly turned on.
"You wouldn't," I laugh a little.
"You wanna bet?" He picks me up like he's going to throw me over his shoulder, so I quickly wrap my legs around him, followed by my arms around his neck.
"Good choice," he says, walking towards the pool and down the steps keeping a firm grip on me.
"Told you so," Kristen coughs once we reach the water.
"Hey babe, I'm thirsty; wanna help me with the drinks?" Kristen says, getting up.
"You know where the drinks are" Stella looks at her, and Kristen gives her a look that makes her get up and follow her. Hero and I both laugh, and I unwrap my legs from Hero's waist.
"Put them back," he pouts.
"No"
"Yes," he starts to kiss my neck.
"Stop before they come back," I moan softly.
"I will when you put your legs back where they belong," he says against my neck.
I wrap my legs back around him, making him smile, and then kiss me. I sigh into his mouth, moving my hands from around his neck into his hair.
"No sex in my pool, guys," I hear Stella say, causing me to pull back.
"Sorry, it's his fault," I laugh.
"How is it my fault?" He smiles.
"Because I say so" I stick my tongue out at him.
"Don't do that unless you intend on using it," he says in my ear.
"Who got the dirty mouth now?"
"Maybe you're rubbing off on me."
Kristen pov
"Are they always like that?" Stella asks me.
"Yes, it's adorable," I smile, looking over at them. Hero is spinning Jess around, and she's laughing. It's not just your ordinary laughter; it's that contagious type of laughter, and I haven't heard that from her in quite a while. "I hope this works out for her happy looks good on her."
But even though I'm extremely happy for her, I can't help but feel guilty about it all, and sometimes I wish—
"It doesn't look like he's going anywhere, Kris," she says while glancing up from her magazine, interrupting my thoughts.
"He's leaving in two days."
"For?"
"He has to go film the rest of his movie. He"ll probably be gone for another two months, and I mean, look at those two" she looks at them again; they've gone back to kissing. "It's not easy; we both know that," my voice is filled with worry.
Please, please let this be the right choice for her. I don't know what will happen if—
"She'll be okay. This is Jessica we're talking about" she turns, so she's facing me. "Try not to worry too much; however, maybe we should cough or something before their lips get chapped," she laughs.
I mean, I know she's right. Jessica is strong; she may be one of the strongest people I know, especially with what she's been through. I shake the thoughts from my head, remembering how she used to be after what her parents and Bradley put her through.
"Hey, you two, can you take a breath?" they pull apart, looking at each other. Jess laughs and presses her head against Hero's chest with embarrassment that she has gotten caught again. "Are you guys ready for the boat?" I ask, placing a towel in Jess's chair for her to sit on.
Hero nods and Jess replies with, "what are you trying to do to me?" he whispers something in her ear, making her blush, and then smile; coming out of the water, he sits her in her chair.
"You good?" he asks, and Jess nods.
