haruki’s anger is sort of his own façade in a sense but it also acts as his defensive barrier against everything he perceives as making him ‘weak’ 😞 from birth he’s been molded into his father’s successor but he has always thought himself just the lesser version of him (an idea which has been reinforced by very sweet words from his grandmother) so his constant acting out was in an effort to feel like he was something more than just ‘keijiro 2.0’
it also just gets worse when he starts attending jujutsu high 🙁 not only are comparisons much more rampant because keijiro achieved more (ironic considering he went through the exact same thing as haruki in his first two years! he only ‘achieved more’ due to his helicopter parents controlling basically every facet of his life down to his own marriage) but by the end of his second year he’s reconsidering what he actually wanted from his own life 💔 haruki sinks further into his anger because he doesn’t exactly know any other ways to deal with his problems that aren’t completely self destructive!! like father (and mother) like son fr!!
#[ section ] ★ haruki !#keijiro really got the first person manual on how to NOT be a parent and just flipped that shit which is why haruki was mostly okay#he rarely got the opportunity to regularly assess his own emotions as a child bc everything was what someone else wanted#so haruki being rather overly sensitive stuck out as a good thing to keijiro#keijiro was definitely a lax parent#but that’s because his biggest fear was becoming his own father#and he didn’t 😞 haruki doesn’t even know but he changed him for the better!!#+ machi too but thats a yap for another day

nicolai very greatly intrigues me.. (i created him)
#[ section ] ★ nicolai !#nicolai is perceived to be the more naive of the two but that isnt exactly true and he displays it on many occasions#he’s much less outwardly irate than nerina obvs but ppl take that as him never getting angry at all#which is false because he is more often than not the one putting ppl in their place!!#he’s just very polite about it!!#and yes nicolai is sorta doormat-ish due to insecurities stemming from childhood + his early days in the survey corps#but its not complete and he can easily spot when someone is using him esp if they don’t even try#like he is definitely the ‘calmer’ half to nerina’s temperamental half but that man also needs anger management 😭#i wouldn’t say he’s manipulative in the traditional sense but his nature does help him control others and he’s pretty prone to lying#^ corny asf but whatever!!!#nicolai is trustworthy and he uses it to his advantage when he needs to 😣 he’s basically a ‘good cop’ archetype and draws things from ppl#with ease bc he creates a sense of comfort and safety#it’s not always intentional but when he realized most people would tell him certain things just like that he started playing into it more#its how he was able to figure out abt reiner & annie & bertholdt pretty simply#and they couldn’t kill him like they did w marco (rip king) so he just very gleefully held the information over their heads as a threat#and with that he was also able to get the gist of their general plan#gonna sound v corny again but most ppl think he’s rather charming 🤗#and he occasionally uses that for his own benefit#like he knows people generally enjoy his company and he uses it to mess with the other side#my fave double agent!!

#[ section ] ★ calix !#where do i begin with him 💔 genuinely has the absolute WORST time ever hes looking like Y/N or smth#except he wasnt sold to one direction he got sold to the fucking cryo archon 😭 pierro’s ass was just like ‘hey kid wanna join the fatui 😊’#calix is the youngest of four children.. (mostly) infinitely spoiled and his mothers undeniable favorite 😞#the personality switch from pre to post abyss journey is so visible 😪 pre-abyss calix was all adventurous and world curious and naive#just like every child is ofc! he was excited abt everything even if it was shoveling snow w his dad or running errands w his sisters#when he’s 13 he meets pierro 😕 first time he’s let out alone and he meets the man who is inadvertently going to ruin his life#his father was apart of the military and he would always beg him to tell stories of his “adventures” bc to him it was so exciting#he’s 13 and wide eyed but not a complete idiot so when pierro offers to train him he makes up an excuse and runs away#so pierro’s grown ass decides to just terrorize him as a recruitment tactic but calix is literally not budging at all 😭#he actually believes the guy is crazy#so instead of trying to get through to him in a typical kind-manipulative way pierro pulls out an old trick and throws calix into the abyss#unprovoked and without him knowing and little calix who has no battle experience at all stuck in the abyss for an ENTIRE MONTH#he’s 14 and clueless and alone and trapped and cold and has to scavenge on his own which obviously causes sm trauma 💔#but one month didnt actually pass in teyvat so to everyone else he just disappeared for one day and reappeared traumatized out of his mind#and also with a personality change#he isnt immediately super violent but he is visibly closed off and distant#his parents just see it as typical teen angst and his father has to take an extended leave for work#at which point he just gets worse#the once rather cheerful boy who appeared so bright to the world was now experiencing uncontrollable fits of anger#he was reckless and quick to solve any issue with his fists.. suddenly it was like he could not do anything without a growing temper rising#by that point his attitude towards pierro had changed for the worst :( what was formerly annoyance became fear#and since he was 10x more vulnerable pierro basically decided to make a completely unfair bargain with him#pierro is all like ‘your father was in the military wasnt he? join the fatui and you can be just like him!!!’#‘or i’ll make sure you guys go hungry this winter 😊’#(he doesn’t actually say that but he heavily implies it and calix is absolutely terrified)#he feels like he has to listen to everything he says because if not his mother and sisters are at risk 😞#without his dad around he feels its his responsibility to take care of them 💔#so with that little 16 year old calix is recruited into the fatui! dawning the given code name “sage” (from pierro)#and while its terrible 😣 while he hates it and still despises pierro he basically becomes the tsaritsa’s weapon of destruction

#[ section ] ★ fumihisa !#him looking exactly like eiko which just ensures that he’ll be the bane of takeshi’s existence for all of time.. no genes from his daddy!!!#takeshi doesnt begin as morally repulsive bc him & eiko are 19 when they have fumihisa and hideji outweighs him in evilness 😣#he really did try at the beginning with keeping hideji away and single parenting it out while eiko worked 😞 he was actually a good dad!#…for a while#then he gets a job and its like !!!!! now we are fast tracking like crazy !!!!!#suddenly fumi wants to learn vb and takeshi is like ‘uhhhhhh’ because of his own trauma but like#he cant just deny his son an experience because of his own trauma#(foreshadowing) (he did that shit!)#they learn tgt and takeshi is mostly fine because fumihisa isnt hideji and he genuinely wants to learn out of interest!#but then hideji gets sick#fumihisa is 7 hes never met his grandpa before!! hideji is slowly losing his mind its sick to not let a man see his grandson before he dies#so fumi meets his grandfather —> takeshi thinks hes fine —> then they start getting close#takeshi has never been that close with his dad.. fumihisa does it with ease and it pisses him off but he doesnt wanna be jealous#(spoiler alert: he fails so hard)#the longer his own dad goes losing his mind the angrier he gets even with it being terribly unjustified due to his own immaturity#he resents fumihisa sb because he is literally the child takeshi never was#he actually liked vb + was kind & sensitive & sweet + got along with hideji#it boiled his blood so much but also#go to therapy sir!!!! fumihisa didnt do shit!!!!#then hideji dies and fumihisa is crushed bc to him its his grandpa but to hideji its a man who never accepted him and hated him ☹️#so he became that father to fumihisa..
