Multiple pods of Dolphins 🐬, 50 Pilot whales and 1 blue whale 🐋. ... ... I was unable to go on this excursion, organized by @cinnamonnaturetrails because I was sick unfortunately but @shehaan23 & @itsyashvin carried on and brought back some amazing footage for me! ... ... As they were departing, the guides warned them not get their hopes up because there hadnt been any sightings in the past few months, until this happened! ... ... Since Whale watching is something that needs to be done responsibly and sustainably, I would only want to work with a company that prioritizes the safety of the animals and the health of our oceans above all else. ... ... @cinnamonnaturetrails is the only company that uses 4 stroke Yamaha engines on their boats as opposed to the kerosene engines which are louder, effectively disturbing the marine life and polluting the water. ... ... They also hold workshops with the local fishermen to teach them the importance of sustainability, to not chase the animals, to not pollute the water and help them to understand how they can reduce their impact on the ocean and most importantly, WHY they should. ... ... Swinging out of 2018 like...😋 My most favorite part about Dalawella beach is this rope swing which is a 2 min walk along the waves from the Wijaya beach restaurant ... ... This was actually my first time ever on a rope swing and I definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t already! Such an amazing feeling as you swing out towards the ocean and see the waves pass under feet! 🌊 ... ... The water for this waterfall comes from an underground spring, thats why its so clean and it contains special minerals that inhibit the growth of algae on these limestone rocks.
