wanted 2 say my mom is a veterinarian and she hates seeing in particular dog in bars (this is more common in the uk now than na i think) shes always like. even ASIDE from the danger as you say that dog is stressed tf out and miserable (so yeah more likely to bite) and just leave the thing at home. sucks for the humans sucks for the dogs. i honestly think most dog owners dont even like the dog they just like having a thing they think they can be in control of or at least that's how they behave.
YES EXACTLY like the dogs cannot be having fun in these scenarios
the thing that sucks is that people love saying sleep early is good etc etc and yeah it is. I've seen some benefits before. but I think it sucks to ignore that late night is the only time with any freedom. I think it sucks to not acknowledge the dread in waking up and it's a work day again
My one friend group can't stop saying, "See you in hell!" in a cheerful voice instead of, "Talk to you later!" and my other friend group can't stop calling things "penis" instead of "cool" or "good", so I just unironically uttered the phrase, "Sounds penis, see you in hell," as I got off the phone.
In the end, if children bother you for sensory reasons and that's why you don't want them to be in the same public spaces as you, there are disabled adults who can and would cause the same sensory issues for you. Adults who are loud, who vocally stim, who have poor boundaries, poor hygiene, who cry in public, etc etc etc. And they're already socially ostracized for all of this.
So actually yeah, it's the bare minimum you can do for the group with the least human rights on the planet to figure out how to accept children as part of your public community without hating them for it, even if you are child-free yourself.
