ok The Living Is Easy starts in the summer of 1914 and covers at least four years. Is the 1918 pandemic on Cleo's radar by this point? If not she's gonna be understandably terrified but also SO smug oh my god. She's going to turn "i was worried about germs before the Spanish flu" into "i predicted the Spanish flu" within two weeks of finding out about it. everyone else in the family is like well i don't think that's true but we do have bigger problems so i guess it's not worth the argument
