No problem. Unbelievable. I insist it was a lucky fluke but he does it again. need Americans to know that it's super unusual and fucked up for a country to have a dedicated fed bureau whose sole purpose is to kidnap and extrajudicially disappear people. like if you illegally cross the border into Canada you will be arrested by the regular-ass RCMP. u will still get deported if you overstay a visa or w/e but the process will actually involve, like, hearings and shit. There is an appeals process. You get 30 days advance notice if you're being ordered to leave, directly in writing. They don't no-knock raid your house in the dead of night with no warning after you've been there 30 years.

And I say all this not to tell you that Canada is some kind of idyllic liberal paradise (it's not, it is a deeply colonialist/imperialist nation built directly on stolen land that was never surrendered by its original occupants, and one with racist/classist immigration policies just like all the other imperial core powers) but to tell you that the way ICE operates is like, patently obviously a fascist Gestapo and in no way a normal thing for a liberal democracy to do.
