I like his English voice a little better but I’m largely neutral to both rn. Might change my mind in the future though, esp if I see his official scenes! 🥰

Now that Volo's Pokemas voice actors have finally been announced I can't help but compare them to my own headcanon for Volo's voice (and also what I consider to be ACD Volo's voice if you read my fanfic :p).

I think there should be more of a soft/sly connotation to his voice. Something more fox-like if that makes any sense. I feel like the song I linked above captures it as well as any other example I can point to. Both the English and Japanese voices they chose just don't really reach that in the way I had hoped for.

My friend @volodei once described Volo to me as "babygirl" and being fandom illiterate as I am this is what I assumed was meant. The actual definition was later clarified to me but I stand by this.
