Vox and Valentino were finishing up a "business meeting", one that usually left Val in bed for a bit, still puffing away on his cigarettes, while Vox went about fixing up the room and his clothes. He had just slipped his shirt over his shoulders, leaving it open, and pulling up his pants when he turmed to face Angel. He hadn't heard him come in.

Vox grinned. "Angel," he greeted, his screen displaying his sharp, pointed smile, "Looks like you were late to the party~" he teased.

A blind date? Well, Vox was certainly intrigued by the idea. He wondered who the lucky demon or demoness would be. He got himself ready and arrived at the restaurant where he would meet his date. He was immediately shown to a table. However, he wasn't expecting to come face-to-face with his assistant and Val's daughter, Roxxenne. "Wait a second... Are you my date?!" He asked incredulously, an amused smirk dancing over his screen.

Vox’s eyes flicked to Ruby, their glowing intensity locking onto hers like a predator catching sight of prey. For a moment, he said nothing, letting the weight of her words settle in the charged air between them. Then, his lips curled into a slow, arrogant smirk.

“Foreplay, huh?” he drawled, his tone dripping with mock amusement. “I’d say that’s a bit generous, Ruby. Eye contact with me is more like a privilege—you should be grateful I even bother looking your way.”

He leaned back in his chair, deliberately casual, his gaze trailing over her like he was evaluating her worth. “But I guess I can’t blame you for getting ideas,” he added with a sardonic chuckle. “Can’t be easy working this close to perfection. Must be downright distracting.”

The smugness in his voice was nearly suffocating, but there was an edge beneath it—a subtle dare, a reminder of just how easily he could reel her in or push her away. “Now, tell me, Ruby… was that little comment supposed to boost your performance, or are you just hoping I’ll give you something else to think about~?”

The smirk widened, cruel and teasing, as his gaze bore into hers, daring her to challenge him.
