Rift Prime - First Impressions - This MMORPG Got A Fresh Start!

In this video we take a first look at the Rift Prime fresh start server and discuss whether it might be an MMORPG worth getting excited about. In this first impressions video we dive right into the game world and experience the quest system, combat and other features for the first time. 

The Rift Prime server requires a subscription, so it’s going to have to deliver a solid MMORPG experience and absolutely no pay to win to be worth playing at all. The server has been up for just over a month now, so hopefully we will get a much better idea of whether Rift Prime is going to survive now that the initial fresh MMO rush has died down. Let’s find out together!

Ashes of Creation - Early Dungeon Concept Looking Good In This Upcoming MMORPG

In this video Vress takes a looking at how dungeons are looking in the upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation. Please remember that this is a very early concept and that the game is still in development. For those of you who haven’t heard about Ashes of Creation at this point it’s an upcoming MMORPG that has promised to be the game that we’ve all been waiting for. Whether Intrepid Studios can deliver on this promise remains to be seen, as the game is still in development, but we’re all hoping that they manage to pull it off. 

Personally, I think the dungeon footage we’re going to check out in this video is a solid indicator that things are on track.

Archeage Fresh Start Server - First Impressions - The Best Free To Play MMORPG Or Another Let Down?

In this video Vress takes a first look at the Archeage Fresh Start Server and discusses whether it might be a free to play MMORPG worth getting excited about. In this first impressions video we dive right into the game world and experience the quest system, combat and other features for the first time. The reason I didn’t check Archeage out in the past was due to rumours of it being a pay to win MMO. 

In this video I’m deliberately going to play Archeage for a full day before I check out the pay to win aspects, so that I can give it a fair first impression that has not been poisoned by my distaste for pay to win MMORPGs. At the end, we are going to check out the cash shop and see how pay to win Archeage actually is and whether I can continue to play this MMO.

Project Gorgon - First Impressions - The Best New MMORPG For Old School Players?

In this video Vress takes a first look at the new MMORPG Project Gorgon and discusses whether it might be an MMO worth getting excited about in 2018. In this first impressions video we dive right into the game world and experience the quest system, combat and other features for the first time. Project Gorgon is definitely an MMORPG that’s focused on the older school crowd, and for that reason has a big emphasis on exploration and RPG elements. Perhaps the most impressive thing about Project Gorgon is that it has been developed by a team of two. However this does inevitably mean that the gameplay is not as polished as many of the other MMOs on the market.

In this video Vress lists some of the things you’re going to see when you play the official World of Warcraft vanilla servers that have been announced by Blizzard. This video is aimed at those who never played classic WoW back in the day, but I’m sure that it will give you vanilla WoW veterans a nice hit of nostalgia too. Things have changed a lot in World of Warcraft since the legacy days, and I think some of you may be surprised to realise by just how much! 

I’m a big fan of vanilla World of Warcraft and that it’s probably my favourite game of all time. I plan to cover vanilla WoW a lot both in the run up to the official legacy server launch and when the content is live. However, I’m not going to pull punches just because of how much I love the game, so please don’t get all up in arms when I talk about the flaws of vanilla WoW as well as it’s awesomeness!

Crowdfunded MMORPGs - Are They Good Or Bad For The MMO Genre?

In this video Vress talks about crowdfunded MMORPGs and whether they are a good or bad thing for the MMO genre. Personally, I feel that crowdfunding is a less than ideal way to finance an MMORPG. However, we are not seeing big companies investing in new MMO games right now, so it may just be our best chance of seeing something truly innovative. 

 My hopes for an exciting new MMORPG are with Crowfall, Ashes of Creation, Pantheon: Rise of The Fallen and Chronicles of Elyria. Maybe Star Citizen and Camelot Unchained too... though I'm a little less certain of them right now!

Warcraft 4 - Will We Ever See It Release?

In this video Vress gives his view on whether we're ever going to see Warcraft 4, and addresses rumours that Blizzard may be working on a re-skin of Warcraft 3. I've always been a massive fan of the Warcraft RTS series and have been eagerly anticipating the announcement of Warcraft 4 for many years. 

I don't think we are going to see a new entry in the Warcraft RTS series any time soon, but in this video I share my thoughts on why I believe that we still have a chance of seeing it in the future, and why I think a Warcraft 3 remodel may even be on the cards for the near future. We're allowed to dream, right?

World of Warcraft - My Top WoW Expansions Ranked - MMO Opinions

In this video Vress list his favourite World of Warcraft expansions in order of least to most favourite. With WoW being my most played MMORPG and having found enjoyment in pretty much every single WoW expansion this has been a pretty difficult video to make. The top 3-4 expansions on the list switch around quite a bit based on which day you ask me, and this video even took a few revisions to get right.

World of Warcraft - Is It Worth Returning In 2018? - MMO Discussion

In this video Vress takes a look at whether World of Warcraft is worth returning to in 2018. We’re going to take a look at the current state of WoW and discuss the pros and cons of getting back into the game this year. We’re not going to cover specific features in detail, as that would obviously take forever. The point of this video is to give a general idea as to whether World of Warcraft is going to be a game you might enjoy playing in 2018.

As of publishing this video Battle for Azeroth is still a little way off, and we’re probably not going to see it until Q3/Q4 2018. However, there’s still plenty to do in Legion and there are now some catch-up mechanics that are now in place to help you enjoy it.
