We're in this together, remember?
Its just some fantasy story about Warren and Sally cuz I missed them. Warning: Angst (just a little tho) 2k words
"Get down, you fool!" A gruff voice bellowed over the chaotic din of battle.
Warren barely registered the warning, his focus entirely on the mechanical beast charging towards him, jaws gaping and gleaming with deadly intent. Sweat beaded on his brow as he swung the plasma blade in a graceful arc, the electric blue light leaving a trail in its wake. The creature roared, a mix of fury and pain, as the blade sliced through its metallic hide. It stumbled and collapsed in a shower of sparks, the ground trembling beneath its weight. Warren stepped back, panting, his eyes scanning the battlefield for the next threat.
On the other side of the city, in the relative safety of the tech hub, Sally's eyes narrowed as her boss spoke. Her fingers danced over the holographic keyboard, inputting data with the speed of a machine herself. She had heard the whispers about Warren, the legendary fighter from the East Side Resistance. They said he was reckless, a loose cannon who didn't play by the rules. But she knew better than to judge a book by its cover, especially in these desperate times.
Her boss, a stern woman named Crystal, leaned over her shoulder, her voice low and urgent. "Sally, I can't stress this enough. Warren is not to be trusted. He's dangerous, unpredictable, and has a vendetta against the very technology we're sworn to protect."
Sally paused, her hands hovering over the keyboard. "With all due respect, Crystal," she began, her voice measured, "without the East Side's firepower, our chances of victory are significantly lower. Besides, you know as well as I do that the intel he provides is invaluable."
Crystal's gaze sharpened. "That intel often comes at a steep cost. The lives of our agents, our resources... I can't ignore that any longer."
Sally took a deep breath, the weight of her boss's words sinking in. "I understand your concerns, but we need his strength, his... instincts." She glanced away, thinking of the countless times Warren's intel had saved them from certain doom. "Perhaps if we could work more closely with him, learn to anticipate his actions..."
Crystal's eyes searched hers, and after a moment, she nodded. "Very well. But you'll be the one to liaise with him. You're the best we have at reading people, and I trust your judgment." She handed over a small, encrypted device. "This is our newest communicator. It's linked directly to Warren's team. Use it wisely."
Sally took the device, feeling a mix of excitement and trepidation. "Thank you, Crystal. I won't let you down."
"See that you don't," her boss said, turning to leave.
Sally's heart raced as she activated the communicator, the cool metal a stark contrast to her clammy grip. She had always been the brains behind the operation, the one who figured out the puzzles and hacked the enemy's systems, but now she was being thrown into the fray, expected to handle the volatile Warren. Her mind raced with questions, but she knew there was no time for hesitation. The city was in dire need of a leader, and if Warren was the key to unlocking victory, she would have to find a way to work with him.
The first time she made contact with Warren, his voice was gruff and unyielding. "What do you want?"
Sally took a moment to compose herself before speaking. "Warren, this is Sally from the West Side Intelligence. I've been asked to coordinate with you on a mission."
There was a pause, and she could almost hear the surprise in his silence. "Why you?"
"I have a unique skill set that complements your... more direct approach." She chose her words carefully, hoping to appeal to his ego.
To her surprise, he chuckled, a sound like gravel rolling in a metal drum. "So you're the smart one they've been whispering about." Another pause. "Fine. But don't get in my way."
Their initial meeting was as tense as their first conversation. Warren's eyes raked over her, assessing and skeptical. Sally met his gaze, her own eyes a deep green, reflecting the gleaming tech around them. He was everything she had imagined and more: tall, muscular, with a scar that carved its way from his left eye to the corner of his mouth. His hair was a wild tangle of black and silver, a testament to the battles he had survived.
The mission was simple, or so it seemed. Retrieve a piece of vital technology that had fallen into enemy hands. But the enemy had anticipated their move, and the compound was a labyrinth of traps and guards. Warren took the lead, his movements swift and silent. Sally followed, her mind racing to keep up with his tactics. They clashed more than once, their styles so different it was a wonder they didn't trip over each other.
The tension between them grew with every step they took closer to their objective. Warren's brute strength was undeniable, but Sally's strategic mind was crucial in navigating the treacherous path. As they dodged laser beams and hacked through security systems, she found herself admiring his tenacity, his unwavering determination to protect what he believed in. And she knew, deep down, that despite their differences, they shared a common goal.
Finally, they reached the chamber where the tech was held. Warren kicked the door open, weapon at the ready, only to be met with a wall of fire. He bellowed a curse, his eyes flicking to Sally.
"I've got this," she said, stepping forward. Her fingers flew over a panel on the wall, shutting down the flames with a series of beeps and clicks.
As they claimed their prize, Warren's expression softened, just a touch. "Not so bad, for a tech geek."
Sally smirked, the first genuine smile she had allowed herself in days. "And not so reckless, for a fighter."
For a moment, as they stood in the heart of the enemy's lair, surrounded by the spoils of their victory, something shifted between them. It was the beginning of a partnership, an alliance forged in the fires of adversity. And though neither of them knew it yet, it was the start of something much more profound.
Their battles would continue, both with the enemy and against their own preconceptions. But as they faced each new challenge together, Sally and Warren began to realize that the other might just be exactly what they needed to survive in this unforgiving future.
In the days that followed, they found themselves thrown into a series of daring escapades, each more dangerous than the last. With every shared victory, every near-death experience, their bond grew stronger. They began to trust each other, to rely on each other's strengths to balance out their weaknesses.
One night, as they took refuge in the ruins of an old library, Sally looked at Warren in the flickering light of their makeshift campfire. "Why do you fight so hard?" she asked, curiosity and admiration mingling in her voice.
Warren's gaze was distant, his expression contemplative. "For the same reason you do, I suspect," he said, his voice gentle despite its rough edges. "To save what we can of this world, to make it a place worth living in."
Sally nodded, understanding in her eyes. They were two sides of the same coin, driven by a fierce love for their city and their people. Despite the constant danger, she found a strange comfort in his presence. His strength was a shield she hadn't realized she needed, and her intellect a beacon guiding him through the dark.
Their banter grew less hostile, more playful. They bickered over strategy, but it was no longer a clash of wills, rather a dance of two equals finding their rhythm. And as they danced, a spark of something more began to ignite.
One day, when they had successfully dismantled a particularly nasty enemy device, Warren turned to Sally, his eyes holding hers for a beat too long. "We make a good team," he said, his voice gruff but the smile on his face unmistakable.
Sally felt her heart flutter. "Yes," she agreed, her voice a little breathless, "we do."
It was a simple statement, but it held a world of unspoken meaning. They had become more than just allies; they were partners in every sense of the word.
Days turned into weeks, and their battles grew in number and intensity. With each victory, the legend of Sally and Warren grew louder, reaching the ears of those who had once doubted their alliance. They fought side by side, their movements in perfect sync, anticipating each other's next steps as if they were two halves of a whole. They scaled the heights of crumbling skyscrapers and delved into the depths of the city's underbelly, a whirlwind of intellect and strength that left their adversaries in disarray.
But no victory came without a price. During a raid on a heavily fortified enemy compound, Sally took a glancing blow from a stray energy bolt. She crumpled to the ground, her eyes wide with pain. Warren's heart stopped as he watched her fall, his body frozen with horror. Time seemed to slow as the distance between them grew wider, his legs refusing to move. He roared her name, but it was swallowed by the din of battle.
He reached her just as the world around them descended into silence, the last enemy defeated. His strong arms cradled her frail frame, her breaths shallow and uneven. He whispered apologies and promises, his eyes filled with a fear he hadn't felt since the day he'd lost his family. He had failed to protect her, the one person who had managed to breach the wall around his heart. The weight of his failure crushed him, a pain so sharp it threatened to consume him entirely.
Sally's eyes fluttered open, and she offered a weak smile, her hand reaching up to cup his cheek. "Don't... worry," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper. "I'm... not... done... yet." Her words were slurred, but the fiery determination in her gaze was unmistakable. Warren's relief washed over him like a wave, mingling with his guilt.
They managed to retreat to the safety of the West Side base, Sally's injury more severe than they had initially thought. The medical bay buzzed with activity as the best doctors and med-bots tended to her. Warren hovered outside, his mind racing with what-ifs and regrets. Crystal placed a firm hand on his shoulder, her gaze sympathetic but stern. "You can't protect her from everything, Warren. She's a soldier too, and she knows the risks."
He nodded, jaw clenched. But in his heart, he vowed to never let her down again. To always be there, to shield her with his very being if necessary. The bond between them had transformed from one of necessity to something deeper, a connection that transcended their roles in the war.
The hospital was cold, sterile, and eerily quiet. Warren paced the floor outside the medical bay, the rhythmic thud of his boots echoing through the hallway. He felt out of place amidst the gleaming surfaces and medical droids, his battle-worn clothes a stark contrast to the pristine white surroundings. The minutes stretched into hours, each second feeling like an eternity. The tension coiled in his stomach, tightening with every passing moment. He checked the time again, his hand shaking slightly.
Finally, the doors to the medical bay slid open, and a doctor stepped out. Warren rushed to her, his eyes searching her face for any sign of good news. She offered a small, weary smile. "Sally's going to be alright," she assured him, her voice soothing despite the exhaustion etched into her features. "The damage was severe, but she's strong. And she's lucky to have you."
With those words, the anxiety that had held him in its vice-like grip for so long began to recede. He took a deep, shaky breath and nodded his thanks before pushing past her into the room. Sally lay on the bed, surrounded by a maze of wires and screens, her face pale but determined. The sight of her filled him with a warmth he hadn't felt in years. He approached, his steps tentative, not wanting to disturb her.
Her eyes flickered open, and she managed a wry smile. "You look like you've seen a ghost," she teased, her voice hoarse from the ordeal. Warren felt his own smile spread across his face, his heart swelling with relief. He reached out, his hand hovering over hers, before finally allowing himself to touch her. The contact was gentle, almost reverent.
"I thought..." He trailed off, unable to find the words.
Sally squeezed his hand, her grip surprisingly firm. "You thought you lost me. But we're in this together, remember?"
Warren nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. "Always," he murmured.

So you DO like me?
about 1.6k words, just soft bickering
After some time of contemplating, Goo decides that he should at least check on Y/N.
He goes over to her and kneels down beside her as he slowly shakes her, trying to wake her up.
"Hey, Y/N," he says as he tries to speak to her in a calming voice.
He then waits to see her reaction to him trying to wake her up.
Y/N swats his hand away, still asleep, " go away," she whines. She then shifts to face the other side, crossing her arms. She drifts back to sleep.
Goo is slightly annoyed, leaning back as he observes Y/N's sleeping face.
Seeing no use in trying to force her to wake up, he decides to lay back down beside her on the bench.
"Ugh, she's such a pain in the ass," he mutters to himself, before closing his eyes as he waits for Y/N to eventually wake up.
After a while, Y/N wakes up. She stretches onto the bench, yawning. She then sits up, not caring for her surroundings for a bit.
As her eyes adjust, she looks around. She sees Goo, sitting up, sleeping onto the bench. She scratches her head, "since when was this ass here?" She snickers to herself.
She then slaps Goo awake, "what are you doing here?"
Goo jolts awake as he's slapped by Y/N. He looks over at her and sits back up.
"Jeez, you're still so annoying, that's all I gotta say," Goo sights, his tone sounding half-annoyed and half-bored of their interactions.
He then looks over at Y/N, and notices her laughing and yawning as she wakes up.
"I thought you were leaving?" he asks Y/N.
Y/N snickers. "You're annoying," she tells him.
"I thought you were supposed to be taking care of your brother, not me" she snaps back at him, annoyed and amused by his reaction. Did he really wait for her all night?
"Yeah, I'm so annoying," Goo answers in a sarcastic and bored tone.
"You know, you're not even supposed to be sleeping outside for too long. Where the hell do you live anyways?"
Goo is trying to see if there's anything going on with Y/N, considering how tired and how easily she drifted off.
"Well I did bring him home already, I was just waiting for you to wake up," he responds to her question.
Y/N looks at him weirdly, "I thought you hated me" she sys snickering as she starts to poke him.
"I live far away, ain't no way I'm walking all that," she tells him as she looks down the horizon. She then looks up at him once again.
"Yeah, I do hate you," he answers, trying to stay straight-faced, but struggling not to crack a smile.
"Where is your home? There can't be anywhere too far in this small area."
Goo looks at Y/N and continues to observe her, with a slight smile on his face, although he tries to look annoyed and uninterested in her.
Y/N swats her hands at him, "Why do you care huh? I can walk home myself. It's just...." she sighs dramatically.
"Very far," she pouts. She then stands up to face him, thinking.
"How about I stay with you for a bit?" She asks him, giving him puppy eyes.
Goo just looks at her and smiles to himself, knowing damn well he's gonna accept her offer of staying over at his apartment.
"Fine, you can stay for a bit," he says, his tone sounding slightly annoyed, but trying to play tough.
Goo doesn't seem too hesitant on allowing her to stay over at his apartment, which might indicate that he does like her being around, or at least enjoys seeing her being annoying.
Y/N giggles, "you do care about me," she says in a sing-songy tone as she walks into his apartment. She smirks at the fact that he didn't kick her out again.
She flops onto his couch, lying lazily. She looks up at him, "don't just stand there" she giggles.
Goo looks over at Y/N, seeing her comfortably laying down on the couch.
"Where do you expect me to sit? You're taking up the whole damn couch."
He says somewhat in a joking tone, as he sits on a chair near the couch.
He looks at Y/N, who seems to be giggling at her annoying behavior.
"God, you really are the most annoying person I've met," Goo speaks to Y/N in a teasing way, while smiling to himself.
Y/N giggles as she sits up properly. She then pats the seat next to her, "come on," she giggles playfully.
"YOU'RE the annoying one," she tells him. They had always fought and bickering. Even getting into heated arguments, like last night. Somehow, she always finds herself going back to him.
Goo looks over at Y/N, who's waiting for him to sit next to her.
He then sighs and takes the cue from her, sitting down on the seat she patted for him.
"Oh, so now you're demanding that I sit next to you," he asks her, his tone sounding half-serious.
Goo doesn't seem to mind sitting down next to Y/N as he smiles at her, while also trying to stay annoyed at the same time.
"What do you want now? Why do you want me to sit next to you anyways?"
Y/N smiles as she looks up at Goo. Who knew he could be like this? He was always displaying that stupid cold attitude of his, but what changed today?
She then lays her head on his shoulder, knowing he would just push her off. Like he always does.
Y/N lays her head on his shoulder, and Goo just stays silent for a moment, his expression not changing as he just stares straight.
Goo was a bit surprised by Y/N's behavior today, as she did exactly what he thought she would. Lay her head on his shoulder, then watch him push her off and get annoyed.
But now, his expression shows that he's actually not annoyed. Y/N laying on his shoulder doesn't seem to bother him at all.
"What are you trying to do?" Goo finally responds.
"Whaaa I'm not doing anything," she says playfully. She removes her head from his shoulder and grabs his arm, she then rests her chin on his shoulder. She wanted to get a reaction out of him.
Goo starts to get a bit nervous now. Y/N is getting way too close for his comfort now, especially because she's now resting her chin on his shoulder.
"Y/N, don't push it okay?" he asks her as he tries to not sound annoyed again.
Goo is actually getting a bit bothered by how much Y/N is touching him these last few minutes.
Y/N pouts at his reaction, her lower lip pushed out. "I'm just playing," she says annoyed as she pushes herself off him.
Today he wasn't having fun. He was just annoying and she hated it. She didn't want to cause another argument so she didn't say anything else. She leans back into the chair.
Goo's expression shifts to looking annoyed again at Y/N's current reaction. He's starting to get annoyed at how she can act so childish and how much she pushes his boundaries.
He was enjoying her company while she was acting somewhat nice and calm, but that all changed when she wanted to get close to him again.
Goo stays quiet, wondering if he should say something to her. He's unsure what to say to her now, especially now that she's starting to get mad at his reaction to her. He's unsure if it's best for him to just stay quiet.
Y/N then slaps his knee, "you always do this. Why are you pushing me away?" She asks him annoyed. She was frustrated at his reaction. At every small attempt of hers to get close, he pushes her away.
Did he really not like her? Was she just that delusional?
Goo pauses for a second, not expecting to be slapped on the knee by Y/N.
He looks over at her, unsure of what to say.
"I'm pushing you away because you're annoying alright?" he says, his tone going back to trying to stay stern.
Goo is starting to feel that he made a mistake to allow Y/N to stay over at his place. He knew that he was going to deal with more annoyance now that she'll start to try and get closer to him.
Y/N looks away from him. She stops, not wanting to start another argument. Maybe she should just stop. Her efforts were for nothing.
She then stands up, looking down. "I'm leaving," she says as she turns around. It was better than to keep arguing.
"Yeah you probably should leave," Goo says, trying to seem annoyed but also not wanting to say these words in the first place.
He was unsure what he did wrong today, but he's starting to realize that having Y/N stay in his apartment wasn't the right decision. It almost felt like all of that politeness from Y/N at the beginning was just an illusion to get closer to him.
Goo is starting to consider that he's just going to have to kick her out as soon as he can find the right moment to avoid another argument occurring.

Kisses w/ the loser
This cute loser
Y/N chuckles, enjoying a moment with him. Maybe she also needed this, some comfort.
After a while, she places her hand under his chin, forcing him to meet her gaze. She places her hands on his cheek, leaning in. "Johan, do you want a kiss?" She asks him.
Johan' eyes slowly opened as she forced him to look at her. Was she offering him something so.. Sweet?..
Y/N nodded her head eagerly, its been a while since shes gotten any sort of action. Though she felt bad she had been moving too fast with the guy, which is why she asked.
"Yes or no?" She asks him.
His breath was shaky, as his face grew increasingly crimson. This was the moment that he had either dreamed of or dreaded.. One that he always thought wouldn't happen. He was going to be.. Kissed..?
"Yes.." He finally spoke, trying to sound as calm and collected as he could be, when in fact he was on edge and nervous from the thought. He hadn't had a kiss before.. Would she see his stuttering and trembling as cute..?
Y/N smiles, guiding his hands onto her hips. Once he was content, she inched her body closer to him, until they were touching. She looks into his eyes for a moment, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Then she kissed him, closing her eyes as she placed her lips against his. It felt so new, her body heating up as she started to move her lips against his. She kept him close, one hand playing with the hairs on the back of his neck.
His whole body shivered with delight as he felt her lips press against him. His hands moved to her hips, pulling her even closer to him as they remained locked in a kiss. His heart felt heavy, but in a good way, as he began to move his lips back, his tongue searching for hers.
His body heated up, as the sensation of affection and care was the exact thing he needed. His hands moved to her face, as his fingers went through her hair.. He had never felt more alive..
Y/N smiled into the kiss, knowing that she was giving the guy the satisfaction he craves. It wouldn't hurt though, just to have fun in the moment.
She pulls away, looking at him, scanning his eyes for emotions. "Like that?" She asks him, still playing with his hair.
His breath was shaky as he nodded in response, his mouth still having the taste of her kiss.. It was sweet and.. Delicious.. That had been his first kiss, and it was so much different than he had anticipated it to be like.
"Yes.. I liked it.. Can we.. Do it more?" He asked her in a soft voice, as he looked up at her with puppy dog eyes. His body was still shivering in delight, as he remained on the couch with her, close to her chest.
Y/Ns eyes widened, "Again?" Her eyes dart down to his lips, then back into his eyes, dazed. One of her hand finds itself on his thigh, squeezing it a bit. "Was that not enough for you?" She teases him playfully.
Johan's breath hitched as she squeezed his thigh, as his eyes darted back to hers. It was almost as if he couldn't get enough of her physical touch, and his desire for her was growing.
"That.. Wasn't enough.." He spoke softly, as he looked up at her with pleading eyes.. He was practically begging for more..
Y/N liked that look, the pleading in his eyes, the desperation in his voice. She liked teasing him, almost as he shivered under her touch. "Then kiss me," she allows him to make the first move this time.
The guy seemed more than delighted to make the first move. It was as if he was waiting for this to happen. When he realized it was finally his turn, he didn't hesitate to lean in and claim her lips as his own once more.
His tongue moved his way into her mouth again, as his hands found their way back to her hips. The way he kissed this time was different, a little desperate at that. She could hear his breath trembling as his tongue moved in sync with hers.

Every single day istg 😭Humanity has lost hope
Don't forget about the Palestinians.
Don't forget about them now.
Don't forget about them tomorrow.
Don't forget about them in a week from now.
Don't forget about them in a month.
Don't forget them next year.
Don't forget them in 5 years.
When the history books start to update, don't let them put lies in there.
When documentaries come out, boycott the ones who call this a victory for Israel.
When books release talking about soldier's personal experiences with Palestine, remember the victims. Remember the truth.
Don't forget about what we've seen.
Don't forget about what we've heard.
Don't let them tell lies about Palestine.
Don't forget about the Palestinians when the world tries to make this go away.
