Sketchpage for some Mikey asks! Grouped together for my sanity, this week has been Weird!

Above sketched out some fun hair styles and colors--I think Mikey colors his hair a lot, actually! Even if having it too long would get in the way, he can color it often with temporary dyes!

Also, I've never seen Newsies, but I did look up some references and added a little sketch of it! They have some quite impressive jumps.

I dunno. I guess it'd be longer!

Limited on sketching time this week unfortunately, but I am a big fan of superhero media. I love the idea of Mikey's mystics being very versatile. He can do ranged summons of those chains and grab you if needed, but I think he can also augment his own natural acrobatics and strength (mutant super soldier, anyone?) to do some real hand to hand brawling action by wrapping chains around his fists or even using them to pull opponents and prevent them from gaining any range!

I also love leaning hard into the fire and sunlight aspects of the visuals, especially if we were to extend that to the other turtles as well like Donnie being matter and hard light, Raph being projection and augmentation, and Leo being electricity and quantum energy for his teleporting.

i feel like people aren’t getting the sheer brotherhood of all the tmnt brothers in rise and i base it on one singular episode where the four of them, genuinely might i add, did a series of things

1. wanted to make a band with all four of them together

2. thought that four different types of singing at the same time was awesome

3. thought other people should see them singing together in their hodge podge horrific sounding turtle band

4. thought they, together as a chaotic whole, sounded so cool

like so often it’s “they do their own thing in their free time” or they pair the turtles off but babes those turtles had separation issues and wanted to do everything together in true homeschooler fashion

“One Day”

Post invasion mini comic that I kinda just whipped out in the middle of the night lol?? Really bad quality cause I drew this on my friend’s iPad and had to stitch it back together into comic form the next day ^_^ it’s kinda shitty and I had no plan but I’m relatively content with how it came out

Regarding “One Day”, My take on the aftermath of the invasion is that everyone’s kind of pissed off at Leo (who’s conflicted and sad) for sacrificing himself, and being the diva he is he HATES talking about it,, Mikey per usual always tries to get him (and everyone else) to open up,, Leo isn’t ready to talk about it and that’s okay give him time !!!!

I feel like Mikey takes older brother duty VERY seriously because he likes feeling needed and relied on, cause he always relies on his older bros but they don’t rely on him for certain things because he’s “the baby”. Being the emotionally intelligent one, he likes that his bros can go to him for that kind of stuff, but at the end of the day it’s a lot to handle and it stresses him out : ( he also has his own shit to deal with regarding the krang invasion and having to be a therapist for the others is hard on him (poor thing)

This sums up my thought process when it comes to post krang invasion basically,,, Mikey forever our favorite optimist is realllyyyy trying to fix this mess with his own two injured hands (I believe in the headcanon(?) that he injured his hands really bad thanks to ninpo overuse) and Leo’s going through his own shit and it gets annoying having your sibling hovering over you when your hurt so Leo basically just pushes him away when all Mikey wants to do is help. Omg. I love them

I firmly believe in Leo with crutches and I really like aftermath fics with that headcanon because UGHHFHDHD he doesn’t want people to help him (he thinks he should be able to help himself + he doesn’t deserve it) but he physically can’t do things himself so he has to rely on his bros when he doesn’t want to AHHHHFFGFG it kills me omg Leo you sweet thing ily

Back to the headcanon that Leo is an emotional wreck after the invasion and he starts lashing out and getting really angry to the point of tears OMG. I LOVE HIM.

Yeah I reallylyyyyy liked drawing these it settled my Baja blast brain down into hibernation (they will be back) (I finally figured out how to draw Mikey so now I can draw them together)

Projecting my anger towards my siblings stealing my clothes onto them because I have free will (here’s more doodles of my boys below)

I really like drawing the turtles just doing everyday boy things + I love family tropes a lot (they’re so dear to me omg my sons my sonssss) so just have the brothers taking articles of clothing from one another because they’re just like me and my siblings fr

Here’s the meter because I’m so serious about this you have no idea. This is basically just headcanons I feel very strongly about but here’s my take

Raph: literally just cannot wear anyone’s clothes except his because he WILL rip them + they don’t fit (obviously) so he resorts to stealing specific items instead. Plushies, food, blankets, comics, you name it

Leo: partakes in the thievery a lot because he feels more secure having something that belongs to one of his bros on his person at all times ykwim? He’d carry around a piece of them for safe keeping so they feel close by—this applies to the future timeline too, when he has his brothers’ masks on his sword

Donnie: isn’t too big on it just because he’s more used to HIS clothes. He leans heavily on texture and feeling and scent when it comes to his belongings, and all of HIS clothes are tailored to his exact preference and he has strong emotional connection to them, like his signature purple hoodie. He gets PISSED when one of his bros takes his shit without asking cause THEN HE DOESNT KNOW WHERE IT IS + it’s HIS.

Mikey: the ultimate clothes thief. He is the final boss. This bitch will never be wearing his own shit, his entire closet is just clothes he has obtained over the years from EVERYONE ELSE. He has his fair selection of his own stuff but what’s the appeal in wearing anything if it isn’t your siblings??? Similar to Leo’s reason, he just finds more comfort in having something of his bros on him at all times

I have a lot to say cause im very passionate about family tropes and AGHHHH they are like my irl siblings omg. I fw disaster twins HEAVY because I’m a twin irl and me and my twin brother are LITERALLYYYYY them. They are just like me fr anyways bye
