I’ve been stuck on directors in revue starlight embodying divine providence for… how long has El Dorado been out?
I know it to be true….
#no one tell Sakiko Togawa#at one point I was writing this while 80% asleep and woke up to find I was rambling about Plato’s allegory of the cave??#I could not tell you the thought process behind that#revue rambles

It's about grief. It's about letting go. It's about fighting on. It's about family. It's about the existential horror of mimes.
It's about escapism. It's about surviving despite it all. It's about the wonder of the world even in darkness. It's about mimes beating the shit out of you.
It's about love. It's about heartbreak. It's about who the fuck put all those mimes here

I haven't been able to resist the urge to draw my favorite members of the disaster expedition.

I can’t believe I forgot to mention the music, oh my god it’s so good.
I think it’s a game that raised a lot of questions and emotions as I played it, and I felt like the conclusion really payed off on all of those, which might be what I truly look for most in a story.
Because of this even though it certainly has some flaws it’s very easy for me to overlook them, especially with the amount of genuinely great stuff in it and wholeheartedly recommend it.
Well Expedition 33 is certainly going on my list of favorite games. I think it has quite possibly one of the most intriguing and well-paced introductions / first acts I’ve played in a while. Plus an incredibly interesting final act and conclusion.
That’s to say nothing of it having one of the most beautiful game worlds I’ve seen, and I thought the gameplay was quite engaging as well. It even managed to keep a relatively challenging and engaging difficulty curve which I find a lot of RPGs struggle with. Plus the progression systems and item systems really felt significant which was cool.
Overall a great game and I want an Esquie hug so badly.

Been playing Expedition 33, it’s really good
I think the opening was one of my favorites in recent memory, I was even thinking how great the opening was as I played it and immediately afterwards it got even more engaging.
I’ll be honest I was a bit unsure about the combat at first because I had heard it described as ‘like-dark souls’, but it’s just Mario and Luigi combat!
I think it’s funny that Maelle’s ‘rebellious’ haircut is her copying Lune. Also the random repeated battles with the mime are fun. No explanation, it’s just there.
My biggest pet peeve right now is that Lune needs to put on some shoes. We are walking through mud and on rocks and over other strange surfaces. How does that not drive her crazy??
