Web 3.0
Web 3.0 is our current internet age. Compared to its other two previous versions, it is possible to say that it will still take a long time before we reach the next era, since it is very difficult to predict what can happen in terms of evolution in the next 10 years.
Web 1.0 started in an isolated way, where there were few homes with PCs connected to the global network, mainly due to dial-up connections and their obstacles at the time. It was during this period that resources common today also emerged, such as e-mail and news shared through websites and portals.
Web 2.0, on the other hand, was characterized by being a moment of global unity, from the popularization of e-mails to the arrival of social networks and instant messengers. It was also marked by the ease of access to certain content, mainly with Google searches, and the availability of smartphones with internet.
The main feature of Web 3.0 is the decentralization of services. With the popularization of data clouds, nowadays it is possible to divide the processing and make that many applications – which previously depended on a single server – can have resources hosted in different parts. Users are also increasingly using it for everyday use. From storing files in hosting services, to having faster access to photos, videos, etc. Even to use your information in automatic filling of forms on the web. And with so much data floating through the internet's clouds, security is becoming increasingly effective. It's hard to find a service that doesn't have more secure procedures like encryption and two-factor authentication. The same goes for other large-scale elements like banking procedures and even corporate data protection.
As for virtual reality capabilities and the Metaverse, everything is still in its very early stages in Web 3.0. Although this technology works very well for certain areas, such as games, there is still a lot to evolve in other sectors, mainly related to commerce.

Interdependence between Marketing and IT...
For a long time, the Marketing and IT (Information Technology) departments had a somewhat distant relationship. With the need for companies to better understand the customer, the use of a significant amount of technology made these two areas naturally approach each other.
Marketing, in charge of providing enriched interactions between the brand and the public, increasingly uses technological tools, especially digital ones. And IT, in turn, assumed an important role in the companies' business strategy, including marketing.
The increasingly fierce competition and consumers who are also more demanding are the causes of this approximation. To execute marketing actions today, professionals need to have technology at their disposal. Whether to raise the level of the relationship and create communication channels or to intimately understand customers and their behavior. Technology is key to improving the relationship between the brand and the consumer.
Consumer experience has never been talked about as much as it is today. And to provide the best experience, it is necessary to know this consumer, understand their needs, analyze their behavior in depth. At this point, numerous technological tools, especially digital ones, based on cloud computing, are essential. From traditional CRM to Analytics solutions, passing through the Internet of Things and social networks, there are countless digital means that can help capture, organize and analyze data in exponential amounts provided by the market itself.
With digital taking over a large part of people's daily lives, the so-called performance marketing enters the field. It aims at generating engagement with the brand, attracting customers and a close relationship between brand and consumers. And it is achieved through digital tools and channels.
One of the great gains that the interdependence between marketing and IT offers companies is the measurement of results, the measurement of return on investments (ROI). If we look at ad campaigns specifically, we'll see that unlike other media, digital media is fully measurable. With them, it is possible to know exactly what results each action is bringing, which is not possible with traditional media.
By combining technology with marketing, companies are able to better work their strategies based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Thus, they have tools to analyze data in real time and more accurately. They are also able to better target campaigns and visualize their effects on the target audience (web page traffic, engagement, sales conversions, etc.).

Storytelling
Close your eyes for a moment and try to listen to your favorite song. Use your imagination. Now, imagine that same song, with all the right notes, but in the wrong order, out of rhythm. It would be impossible to hear something like that, wouldn't it? Or, at the very least, our ears couldn't handle the feeling of discomfort.
Songs obey mathematical and logical principles, so when the original structure is lost, the meaning is lost. The structure works like a box where our brain puts ideas and concepts and organizes them so that they make sense. Without the structure our mind is confused, it cannot even understand what is happening. It is important to understand this concept when producing online content.
Despite the enormous power of storytelling, mainly to create a connection with your audience, the message will be lost if there is no structure to organize it. A disorganized story will make your audience feel like they've entered the theater after the movie has already started.
Great success films use structure very well to organize the narrative line, it is not by chance that they achieve good results at the box office. One such case is the Wizard of Oz. Despite being an emotional story, the structure of the script makes it easy to understand Dorothy's journey. The premise of the film is: “there is no place like home”, and the story that begins in Kansas, passes through several places, to, in the end, return to Kansas.
As well as the narrative in 3 acts is well delineated. In the first act, the main character lives an ordinary life until an event changes her reality. In the second, she goes through a fantastic journey, to, in the last act, return to her place of origin, even after she is no longer the girl from the beginning of the story.
This film, like many others, follows a 3-act or hero's journey structure, which works almost like a formula for storytelling and has worked for many years.

Neuromarketing
Tumblr media
Although it is often confused as an exclusive Marketing strategy, Neuromarketing includes studies of Neuroscience, Psychology and Marketing. It is a way of studying human behavior by understanding the processing of information by the brain.
Neuromarketing is an area of science that seeks to study and understand the factors that influence a consumer in the purchase decision. From this, it is possible to outline techniques and methods that are beneficial to your company's activities.
The term, the combination of Neurology + Marketing = Neuromarketing, was created by Professor of Marketing Ale Smidts, from the Erasmo University of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands. But it was Gerald Zaltman, a physician and researcher at the American University of Harvard, who popularized the term by using magnetic resonance imaging devices for market research purposes and not just medicine.
In other words, Neuroscience studies the brain and Neuromarketing uses these discoveries in advertising with the aim of selling and establishing the brand.
It is necessary to understand how the consumer will react to the questions and, mainly, what questions the brands should ask the consumer.

Productivity
We are always full of activities, but we forget what really matters: generating positive results. However, when we occupy our brain with dozens of tasks, our personal productivity decreases and we end up delivering less than we should or would like.
Having agility is important, but you have to stay focused. That's because he's the one who directs you on the assertive path, on the priorities of the day and on the actions that will unlock the next steps.
To break with procrastination, it is necessary to pay attention to these villains of personal productivity: social networks; side conversations; anxiety; solve multitasking without connection to each other.
A technique that helped me a lot in this first period of college was the Pomodoro, I downloaded an application on my cell phone and it automatically notified me when I should take my break and when I should return to studying. In this new semester, in addition to maintaining the Pomodoro technique, I'm going to start organizing my week on Sunday, because with so many classes and college activities, the last few months have been difficult for me to organize my work.

Sensory Marketing
Sensory marketing is a strategy that fits the growing demand for a focus on the consumer experience. Through the five senses, stores and brands stimulate sensations so that the visit to the place and the purchase are remarkable for the customer.
This is a very efficient technique, especially for the purchase decision and unconscious stimuli for repurchase. Thus, companies need to understand how to apply strategies of this type to delight and retain customers.
Sensory marketing is a marketing segmentation that proposes a creative and striking approach to a brand's customers. With this strategy, companies can strengthen ties with consumers through sensory stimuli, focusing on the five sensory senses: touch, hearing, taste, sight and smell.
Sensory marketing actions make it possible to awaken the customer's purchase decision, by improving the shopping experience and stimulating feelings of well-being. For this, sensory resources must be aligned with the target audience and the business profile.
Therefore, brands can take advantage of the potential of creating pleasant feelings and positivity of sensory marketing to drive sales in a more natural way. In addition, companies that adopt this technique demonstrate that they know their customers well and can gain greater recognition from the audience.

youtube
One of my favorite youtube channels to stay on top of some news, recently updated with a video about the trends in UX Design. The one that most caught my attention was the superapps, I really don't remember ever having heard of this term, but it is very interesting. I work with a Chinese colleague and she had already mentioned to me that she uses the WeChat app to chat with friends and family in China, as well as to make some payments, something that until then would be very strange for me, it's already usual for them. So let's keep an eye on the new trends!

Tumblr media
Studying about the UX market in Brazil, I found a blog commenting on this model presented by NN Group, where there are 6 levels of maturity.
1: UX is ignored or non-existent. 2: UX work is rare, haphazard, and unimportant. 3: UX work is functional and promising, but done inconsistently and inefficiently. 4: The organization has a semi-systematic UX-related methodology that is widespread but with varying degrees of effectiveness and efficiency. 5: UX work is comprehensive, effective and comprehensive. 6: Dedication to user experience at every level leads to deep insights and exceptional user-centric design results.
The level of maturity in most companies is still low. Companies are still learning to think about Customer Experience. It`s still necessary for professionals in the area to talk about processes, internal teams, team integration, product prioritization, reading data, testing, researching, etc.

Homepage with videos
Another great trend in web design, which is now greatly influenced by screens with more movement is the homepage with videos, so when the user access a page, it`ll right away presents a video that occupies the entire bottom of the screen and starts playing as soon as they access the site, without the need to press “play”.
The production of these videos has also evolved, as 4K is already a reality for those who produce content for the internet, delivering much more quality to the videos, which are not pixelated when they are “blown out” at the bottom of the screens.
All of this is due to a boost in the internet, which makes it possible for this visual demand to be met. It is necessary, however, to consider that not all of your audience will have a good internet connection to be impacted by this content in the way you expect, which could also be a limiting factor for access to your website. Therefore, it is important not to exaggerate when producing content so that the experience reaches all users, also considering navigability on mobile devices and merging trends for the sector, such as the adoption of 3D images, animations and large-scale images on websites.

Minimalism.
In the last few months I've had my eyes on a web design trend that emerged some time ago, but which still proves to be very effective when it comes to planning a website: minimalism. Limited color palette, simple typography and easy navigation are items that are highly valued by users. At this time, it is important to consider that less can be much more.
For this, it is necessary to study and research the work of other more experienced web designers, to find a balance between all of this and communicate what is needed in a clear and pleasant way. When this is done, the message will be delivered without distractions and the user is only impacted by what is really important.

Today I received this Survey in my email and it was a really nice surprise because even when we're learning something we like, there's always that kind of thought like "oh, should I do something else?" or “Will I be able to have a good life if I work in this field?” Well, it looks like I got confirmation about all my inner doubts. That's how I felt reading this.
Giving you an overview, a large recruitment company called Prosperity has published a salary survey for Ireland's digital sector. All areas seem to have increased a lot, but my focus is on UX design and Front End Developer. With salary starting at 40k for beginners (hey that's me!) it looked very promising.
When we're in college, we still don't have the necessary experience for such vacancies, but here's the big question for me: companies want to hire experienced professionals, but few companies are really willing to train the inexperienced one. Perhaps this is why the digital job market is so scarce and so hungry for professionals.
While my time has not yet come to apply for the vacancies, I keep studying and keeping an eye on the news. My classmates and I hope that, in the near future, companies will be better prepared to hire new talent to be trained in-house.
For those who are curious about salaries in other areas, click on the link above to download the complete survey.

<h1> Hello World! </h1>
Okay first thing first. I would like to let you all know that for the next few months I'll be focused on my Master's and so far, my favorite subject has been Web Authoring. Code? Yes! Programming? Yes Yes! This is so insane to me because I never thought I would be able to do these things, but as I recently learned from Dr. Barbara Oakley, if we study hard, practice, and be persistent, our brains can learn anything.
So let's do it! I'm going to start sharing some thoughts and updates around here, feel free to discuss or talk more about this universe with me.
