I showed my friend one of those deltarune memes with the glowing colored words (specifically the one where Noelle's mother is powered by intense homophobia) and they asked me if it was something that actually happened in-game???

(They are familiar with the game and have finished both the new chapters before i did. And i have showed them memes like this one before, so i guess this one just seemed very legit story-wise?)

My impression of DELTARUNE chapter 3 so far

is it's a fucking fever dream, i mean it's fun (even though i suck at all the mini games) but also WHaT????????

You keep doing the same things over and over but slightly different, you fight a FUCKING WATER COOLER?????? AND THERE'S THE OPTION Begformercy or something??? They trap people in Christmas balls????? There's so many Lancers. There's passwords pfor oarental blocks?? The evil guy is 3D?????? And he Fortnite dances (I'm no dance expert don't come at me, it's probably maybe not Fortnite). MAN WHAT.

I don't know what I think about it yet (also because I haven't finished it) but so far i think the earlier chapters were just easier? (Not fight wise) . What is this chapter's story line?? Guy does gameshow and then turns out he's evil now we need to escape? And also darkners aren't real ig, that part i liked though.

Idk, it really confuses me personally but maybe it's a skill issue

And I'm probably just salty that the Wild West section was 3 seconds long

If we assume The Smiler wants Andrew to become violent or something like that, then the pvp part of the fortress is a great way to desensitize someone to hitting/killing shit in a videogame, like when you fight a bunch of enemies until you get to the boss of that section of the game (the surprised guy in this case, RIP).

Maybe the puzzles at the start were just there to get him comfortable before the fighting section considering how they go from pretty harmless at the start (like the portal like thing) to then escalate to dangerous stuff like the arrows and fire.

It's like game design in a way. And a pretty smart way to manipulate Mr. Andrew the Gamer tbh, as much as the smiley kinda creeps me the fuck out at times.
