Ruby and Weddings

I remember watching the Beaumonts host extravagant weddings for their three daughters, each a display of wealth and status. I longed for a moment like that - to wear a pretty gown and bask in the compliments on how stunning I looked under the gentle morning sun. The desire to feel beautiful consumed me entirely; it was all I yearned for.

Reflecting now, I realize how foolish those dreams of mine were. Yet even today, as I pass by those elegant bridal boutiques, something draws me in. I'm captivated by the dresses and spend hours imagining how my own wedding might have looked.

Once, I was persuaded at someone's insistence, to try on a dress and buy it - despite no attempts to resist. It now hangs in my closet, patiently awaiting those rare moments when I indulge in my daydreams and put it on.
