This is gonna sound ridiculous if you don't get it I think, but does anyone else...(rant incoming)

Anyone else ever get like.. idk, this inability to engage in things you realy like? Like I'll go through a phase of being OBSESSED with something, I'll spend all my free time on it, either doing/watching or reading fanfic or SOMETHING. It's THE thing for a while.

And then after a certain point, it's like my brain has decided that's poison. Like, I can't bring myself to engage with it in any way at all, thinking about it for too long makes my skin itch and trying to actually watch/read/listen to it has the same appeal as eating handfuls of gravel. I've got to go on like, a couple month strike before I can try and enjoy it again.

And like, it's not just "oh I lost interest", it's like I physically cannot bring myself to do it, my brain is Screaming vehemently, "No, no we cannot touch that with a ten foot pole! Do NOT". And it's just, why? We really like this thing? What's with the sudden dread? Even the interests I keep coming back to, they always happen in phases like this where I remember how much I like it and I get really into it, and then suddenly the slightest mention like, triggers my fight or flight.

It's kind of annoying. Like, I'm MONTHS behind on watching hermitcraft cause around the exile arc I just Couldn't - brain said no more Minecraft. Couldn'teven Play minecraft for a while, and that's usually my comfrt game. I feel it starting to happen with TØP too, like everything about it is putting my head in overdrive, and I'm gonna need to step back a bit,so instead of actually watching clips or reading fics, I'm getting like 10 seconds in and going "oh I think I'd like this" and marking it for "later". When is later? Idk, whenever I'm allowed to enjoy this thing again.

Anyone else get this? It sounds stupid out loud, but like.. idk.

once i master my adhd and stop believing that i’m waiting for my life to begin and accept what i cannot change and finish cleaning my room and stick to a productive schedule and drink enough water and meditate and organize all the important papers in the paper pile and start being consistent and say the nice things to myself and gain confidence its OVER for you bitches

watching a video and realizing I miss the term "flame war", it was JUST tongue-in-cheek goofy enough of a term to describe how silly it was to carry on long arguments online over shit that doesn't matter and was often started/spurned by a troll. Now ALL of it is just "discourse" or "engagement" which feels like they put a godawful slap of PR paint over the surface of flame wars like a cheap landlord looking to charge 1000 dollars more for the same crumbling walls

Since hearing that clip of blurry (check the doors, check the windows, pull the blinds) I’ve been stuck thinking about glowing eyes being connected. Then when the contract came out I made a sketch about it because the music video really clicked the pieces together. I do believe that theory that the eyes are all his past selves but that’s another thing- Anyway I know I’m not the only one who hears or thinks it, hopefully this reaches my target audience and gets some cool conversations going about it.
