LOVE BIRD

WHEN I WAS A LOVE BIRD:

a cry of mine and shining little eyes.

Allowing felicity to hug and kiss.

Little hands of fate begin to shake.

I am a bird beating my wings and so i starting a new life.

Remembring the days when i was a baby bird.

Little fights that all sweets were mine and broken toys made only joy.

Walked and talked,i played and run.

I laughed and cry that life was fun.

Those were Happiest days when i was a little bird.

Laughter of friends,dresses of trend.

Punishment of sitstand and stealing of lunch.

Thirteen was the first teen carrier.

Which made life happy and merrier.

Those were the Hopefull days when i was a growing bird.

Lovely gossips with a sweetheart.

Saying a single sentence with a thirst of love:

"you are my only love,the queen of my heart".

Eighteen was the climax of age,when the heart was full of ideas and rage.

What a lovely time when i was a teen bird

strong blow of wind or a wave of sea,takes no time to destroy everything.

Thundering storm or downfall of a stone,leave nothing behind.

No body else can feel or make it realise but as so I.

Absence of a single bird will take no change and the circle of life will continue its range.

... Now hopes are running out like dry sand, through my helpless weak hands.

RAIN

You already know I love too much rain.

It gives pleasure to my heart and brain.

Each droplet flows away the sorrows,

The month of November and its raining once again.

The weather is lovely outside but has no gain.

Outside weather makes the inside one, very great.

I always go in rain and let it befall on my face.

But today i am not going in it, am i insane?

I am losing you with each droplet of rain.

SEED BOMBING Business Plan

SEED BOMBING

EASY GROW:

My idea is to start making seed bombs for massive plantation in a very short period of time.

Seed bombs are seeds wrapped up in a blanket of earth, which acts as a carrier for the seeds and enables them to be launched in areas that are physically challenging to access, like fenced-off wasteland or motorway banks. Because of their size and strength they can simply be thrown over the fences or out of car, train or bus windows. They provide the accuracy needed to get the plants to where you want them to grow. It does help if your aim is good though! The risk of damage to the seeds is minimized because the blanket of earth offers protection from harsh weather conditions and seedeaters such as mice and birds. Apart from the fact that they are really good fun to make, they actually work and it’s so exciting when you see the first shoot come through!

Q1: Please describe what problem you are trying to solve? (500 words)

Global warming is a big issue these days in whole world as well as in Pakistan, moreover Pakistan is in water crises. This issue can be solved with massive plantation of trees.

Q2: Describe your solution? (500 words)

I will take initiative of planting trees with seed bombing technique. Seed balls also known as earth balls is a latest technique of growing plants, which requires less efforts and time. 

To make a seed ball, different seeds combined with soil are wrapped in a red clay. Sowing tree seeds directly in the field is an old technique, these seed bombs prevent seeds from animals, insects, rodents, and birds. Clay ball protect seeds until rain falls to soak the clay ball and stimulate the seeds. This idea can be implemented across the commonwealth.

It will help in growing many plants in less time and with less efforts in Pakistan.

Plants play great role in restoring natural water resources because they play great role in rain.

These days’ students and Government is doing a lot of campaigns for plantation so my idea will help them implementing it quickly. Ariel seeding is also possible with these seed balls.

Plantation is a Climate action which is SDG.

Q5: What are the key risk factors to the business as you explore this opportunity? (100 words)

There is a little risk involved, what if some seeds doesn’t germinate?

Q6: How much money have you raised? (50 words)

Currently it is just an idea. I am going to do a plantation campaign. In the starting people will provide funds for green Pakistan and I will utilize those seed bombs for plantation but later when people will come to know about this technique, I will start selling these bombs.

Q7: How much money do you need? (50 words)

I can start this with zero funds even but these days’ students and Government is doing a lot of campaigns for plantation. They will be my target market also I can sell it online. By selling these seed bombs I will make money. Later I will start making flower bombs as well for daily use. They can be used in home gardens, window boxes or the veggie patch. They can be used to create an explosion of color on urban green roofs, on sheds or on outbuildings.

 My Father who has done MS in Soil Chemistry from University of Idaho,  Moscow. He is retired Government officer but I want to utilize his wisdom in  this project of mine for selecting best clay and choosing best possible  seeds.

Seed bombs are NOT EXPLOSIVE OR EDIBLE! It is a little ball made up of  a combination of compost, clay and seeds. The compost and clay act as a  carrier for the seeds so they can be launched over walls or fences and into inaccessible areas such as wasteland or railways. ‘But what is the point? Why  can’t we just throw seeds loose?’ Most seeds are very light and there is risk  of them being blown away by the wind, making them unsuitable for launching  long distances.

 After about three weeks the first seedlings work their way through the  seed bomb and root into the ground below. The seedlings will then grow into  mature plants and face whatever conditions Mother Nature has in store for  them. As they grow, more seeds germinate and the seed bomb begins to  dissolve. This can take days, weeks or months – it depends on the quantity of  rainfall. Seeds will remain dormant until their environmental needs are met  with these factors: water, correct temperature and a good position to grow  in.

In Pakistan, this idea is not currently implemented. However, Seed  bombing is also widely used in Africa; Especially in Kenya where hundreds of  thousands are being made using biochar and are being spread in barren or  simply areas that were recently deforested for charcoal and firewood  extraction. With technology expanding, the contents of some seed bombs are  now placed in a biodegradable container and "bombed" grenade-style  onto the land. As the sprout grows, the container biodegrades into the soil.  The process is usually done as a large-scale project with hundreds dropped in  a single area at any one time. Provided enough water, adequate sunlight, and  low competition from existing flora and fauna, seed-bombed barren land could  be host to new plants in as little as a month.
